102 Tangles of Zentangle, Part 31 with Rain and Vega

- This is video number 31 for my series on the 102 Tangles of Zentangle. I only have 6 more patterns to show and then I’ll put everything together in a notebook. I’m not sure what to do, but I’m so happy that I’ve stayed on course and I’m going to accomplish this goal! This tile was a lot of fun because I love drawing both Rain and Vega.
I first learned about Zentangle when I saw the 102 Tangles of Zentangle poster on display at a local community college. I have been in love with Zentangle ever since, and I have a goal to show all the 102 patterns before my 5-year CZT anniversary on June 19, 2024. The 102 Tangles of Zentangle poster was published in 2009 and can be purchased at Zentangle.com.

Black Micron 01 pen or PN (or your choice of pens and colors)

You could cover a plain notebook with cloth using fabric glue and tangle on that. I had a 3 ring binder covered that way that I drew all over in junior high school ……a loooooong time ago.
I've been meaning to sign in so I could comment, so I'll combine; Happy Belated Birthday! Also good news ref. your port for chemo removed, best news! Also ref. Shamrukas, I came across that last month and created a tile, I love it & congrats on publication. Finally, someone commented on using cardstock to cover a journal so it could be "tangled". I purchased a black covered book & after thought was "how will I add tangles to outside?". I'm doing the same as stated in other comment. "No mistakes". lol I am enjoying the journey of "102 Tangles of ZT" with you!!!

I finished, I messed up Vega a bit but really not noticeable except for me, I kept going and am pleased with the result. By the way, if you can't find a notebook to tangle on, use a piece of cardstock, tangle it and then attach it to the front of the book with a good adhesive. I did that and it looks great! Hope that helps!

I like the Mosaic app because it’s easy to search for tiles that show a pattern that I’m interested in. I love using it for inspiration.
Initially I put my tiles into scrap books, but now I just collect them in boxes or sketchbooks. I’m not really organized, lol! I have sold some by making cards, but mostly I give them away. I’ve also put magnets on the back for the refrigerator. Great questions! ❤️

I have seen binder type notebooks with a slit in the top where you could insert a sheet of paper thus creating your own cover!
Btw did you ever get the bookmark covers you were talking about here while back? Ive been wondering how they worked before ordering any.

Thank you, Kathy. I think I’m going to use the clear protector pages in my notebook and I was thinking about using the clear cover also.
I bought the covers for the bookmarks but didn’t look closely at the size, so they were a little large for the ones I had already finished. I will definitely use them next time I make some. The ones I ordered came with tassels. 😁
