  • I’m amazed that this is video number 30 in my series for the 102 Tangles of Zentangle. It has taken me a few months, but I’m happy that I have stayed with my goal to show all the patterns from the poster. Today I used a favorite string from the Tangle Patterns website and then filled it with Squid, Finery, Braze, and Jonqal. It was fun to see this one come together. Again I actually liked the tile from my sketchbook the best, but I enjoyed drawing both tiles. I have now shown 89 of the 102 patterns!
    Many thanks to all my UA-cam friends as I just passed 13,000 subscribers! That’s so amazing! I started my channel in June 2020 with just a few followers and I’m so happy that I’ve reached this many people. I love it!
    I first learned about Zentangle when I saw the 102 Tangles of Zentangle poster on display at a local community college. I have been in love with Zentangle ever since, and I have a goal to show all the 102 patterns before my 5-year CZT anniversary on June 19, 2024. The 102 Tangles of Zentangle poster was published in 2009 and can be purchased at Zentangle.com.
    Patterns in this video:

    Great combination of patterns! I like the way these work together on one tile and also for being introduced to some more new-to-me tangles. Once again-a very relaxing time learning from you. I look forward to each video as you near the finish line! I'm now caught up with all 30 videos and look forward to celebrating having examples of all 102 attempted and labelled tangles in my sketch book!!

      @@notperfectzen I did have fun and it turned out great, I ended up with the string backwards to yours but made it work. I also decided to try your.....what if....I inked in the lines between Finery....it looks great that way too. You are a great inspiration and I love your channel, again...thank you!

    Barbara I feel like you worry too much about whether your teaching good or rather questioning yourself but to be completely honest I don’t think that there’s anything that you could do with pen & paper that would look bad you have an amazing natural talent, I love that your videos are as is you don’t do any type of editing while you’re drawing I’ve watched my fair share of CZT videos and yours are by far the most beneficial to me I value your time and I appreciate everything you have taught me so don’t worry about whether you’re doing a good job or things are good enough because they are they are more than perfect thank you for everything ❤ also your voice is so soothing and I mean that in the least creepy way possible lol but I normally watch most zentangle videos on mute but not yours I literally listen to everything that you say

    Can I also draw with a fountain pen? Do you think it works as well as a fineliner?

    • @notperfectzen
      @notperfectzen  3 місяці тому

      The nice thing about Micron fine line pens is they are archival (won’t fade) and waterproof so you can add color. You also get great detail. But they are not necessary, especially if you’re new. You can use any pen and paper. That’s how I started. Send me an email if you have more questions. I’m happy to help.
