    Very interresting video. The major fact is that we have a ideal view of how the "canard" works on the Rafale. Instead of being an elevators in front on the Delta (like we can see on the Eurofighter), these "canard" works in order to make "stick/glu/paste" the airflow on the Delta wing. This allow a very high AoA without stalling. We can see this on the video. The second role of the "canard" is to act like airbrakes. We can see this during the approach before landing. Again, it's an amazing video that learn us a little more on the Rafale.

    This is probably the best fighter aircraft video on youtube. Everything's perfect..the song, camera placement, timing..

    Wrong. In fact, except for IR missiles (but medium/short range missile), every missile fire is detected by the targeted aircraft, and it's easy to avoid it when you're far enough. So in the end, with pilots using the topography to sneak behind enemy aircrafts, etc... the engagement distance is not that high. Dogfight are not the norm today, but they still are one of the major aspects of oncoming air/air engagement.

    Simply spectacular! The stall/throw back half-way through the vid shows how stable this aircraft is and how strong the SNECMA engines are. Can't get any better than the French Air Force in terms of engineering and talent. I'm amazed really.

    Actually the Rafale, like the Typhoon is highly unstable...but this (combined with canards) means it's incredibly agile!

    NO ONE fights dogfights today.

    Doesn't it strike you guys that the only crash in the plane's history suddenly happened just days before a sale contract was to be signed with Lybia? Not to be paranoid about sabotage but I just find it very puzzling to say the least.

  • @ioaircraft
    @ioaircraft 17 років тому

    it's going to happen. all of our politicians just need to quite posturing thinking they are all demi gods. As for regular soldiers and people, none of have issues with each other. it's all causes at the top. I'd like to see some serious pilot exchanges as well. Russia, France, IAF, U.S., and anyone else whom does 5th generation super fighters. Show us all how it's done. how about annual aero war games, bragging rights yearly and a cup?

  • @ioaircraft
    @ioaircraft 17 років тому

    I love the F-22 but neither it nor the SU can be going "too slow" then go ahead and push up into a loop anyways. Beautiful masterpiece indeed. Dassault has always built excellent aircraft though (think the iaf can still take a mirage and shove up a mig-29's butt). And yes, both our governments are whacked out of their minds. People are always ok, it's their gov's who screw it all up.

    Comparign the rafale to an older gen f16 is rong.. first of the f16 is beign replaced by the f35...not even same gen planes rafale looks like a advanced f16 generation plane.. but compare it to an f22 or f35...

    Not crazy, just stupid I think. For some people, created by a jew means directly "Israeli firm directement by Jerusalem".
    That's the reason why we can say half the US is english, the other half is french (and not american hey), and boeing is german.
