Today I present my full Premier League table prediction. How much will De Ligt effect Man Utd? Will Liverpool try and sign another player after Zubimendi's deal collapsed? Will Arsenal or Man City win the league? Who will qualify for the Champions League? Who will get relegated?
How many STINKERS have I had here then, lads?
Wolves behind Nottingham, Bourenmouth and Everton is crazy once they replace Kilman there going to be something special.
United will probably finish around 13th if they stay on the track they currently are on.
@@Cedisdead what track? winning trophoes and making good signings... 61 injuries last season wont happen again this season. united easily got top 4 his first year and theyre better now.
@@rajimus No getting embarrassed in Europe and in the league and blaming everything on injuries like no other team get injuries 😂 but buying bench players from Bayern and injury prone 18 y olds for 60m will certainly help them doing better right? 😂😂😂
Wolves will be around 9th-13th no chance we are down near the relegation zone
Joe please do a video of all transfers of todd boehly, hit, let's see or miss
90% miss
The video will be over 2 hours long
Are there any hits?
@@PaidTheCost88what's crazy is that 90% might be generous
i hope not imo. he's done a few already over the last couple of months
Im sure it will be way off Joe, but this list actually is so cloee to everything I expect. People laying into Arsenal but they are so close. Im excited to see it all

Finally someone giving Dychey the respect he deserves. With an improved squad, I’m optimistic your prediction will come true this year.
Lovely stuff! Fingers crossed for no PSR.
@@joethomlinson_I agree with the prediction as all I think Everton have done is improved and irabumen is one to watch
How did the 1st game go for you 😂
@@GregH25if dyche realizes kean and young are bad that’s when the prediction is corrct
Come on Brighton
What a fucking breakdown. What a fucking list.
Better than Goldbridge and them vibes lists 😂😂
Onana being an upgrade on Douglas Luiz is a crazy statement. Luiz is way better on the ball than onana and was the biggest reason why Villa didn't feel Kamara's absence as much as they could've done. Onana and kamara is a solid double pivot but onana doesn't have the offensive threat that Douglas Luiz had
Its not really a like for like comparison, Onana is far better at certain aspects of the game and Luiz is far better at others. Tielemans will likely take on the Luiz role as their playstyles are more comparable and Villa already have an abundance of attacking midfielders
Can’t wait for Utd to finish below Chelsea again
West Ham had a fantastic window. I like their signings and fullkrug is a powerhouse.
that brighton position seems a bit mad
think Newcastle get top 6, Ipswich survive whilst Nottingham forest gets relegated, don't think us getting top 3 is a gamble at all yeah we've made no signings so far but I'm confident we make 1/2 (albeit one might be a panic buy!)
Good shout 👍🏻 why Forest relegated?
@@RobinHood-us7sg poor coach, nuno hasn't be good in years
Another season of english media hyping up arsenal to act as if there's some competition in that league.
City are getting the title again and Arteta the genius will be completing the 5th trophyless season in a row.
Well reserched Joe. Most PL predictions are just lazy guesses, but you do know your stuff. From a pretty optimistic Forest fan.
👏🏻 exactly, it’s amazing to see an actual well researched Forest prediction
As a Pumas fan it always puts a smile on my face when Joe wears his Pumas kit
Arriba los pinches PUMAS DE LA UNAM
Bricked it with that 7th prediction for Newcastle mate 😂
as an evertonian i am so grateful that you put us mid table. I dont understand why so many people think we will have regressed so much this year. we won enough points for 12th last season and have improved over the summer. Onana wont be a big miss and the attack is significantly more exciting.
I would be shocked if we came lower than 13th/14th
Great start on that prediction mate
@@laurencewoodford4003 lad we’re three games in. Its a bit rough so far cant deny that, but once we get branthwaite back we’ll be flying
Always fun to see predictions I’m a little concerned with Everton and Bournemouth
As a Brentford fan I think we’re gonna do well this season Schade looks great and if we do get dara O’Shea then we should improve defensively so
I don´t think we get top 4 without Ugarte and another left back. Those who think Shaw will be available are just dreaming at this point, no consistency.
I still think United will do business.
@@joethomlinson_ i do to but if that business is Marcus Alonso and Sander Berge we´re kinda done.
@@Ruben-so7puagreed
We don’t need another left back, I would much rather get 2 midfielders
@@kiwikd5145 I think we need 2 midfielders aswell but I’d still get a natural left back as shaw u can’t rely on, malacia won’t play til Christmas and when he plays he’ll still get injuries as he’s been out for 18months. We can’t just stick to playing Martinez, Dalot or mazraoui I’d get a natural left back and have amass
Excuse for united and Newcastle last season were injuries yet Chelsea had more? At least don’t change the narrative
Chelsea had signed a billion players, they had the depth to handle their injury crisis. I also think he clarified that he has Chelsea in 8th cos the other clubs have a lot more continuity and consistency, Chelsea have a new manager and a tonne of new players
@@mukappaomicron8110playing kids is hardly depth
Newcastle had more injuries than Chelsea. Newcastle lost 1950 days to injury, Chelsea lost 1745 days to injury, and Chelsea squad size was double of Newcastle's. Also Newcastle had tonali out for 10 months suspended which don't count in the 1950 days lost. Perhaps you should research a little more first
@@MakinaMakinaMakinabut those kids are signed for ridiculous fees
@@jamie5824 Chelsea had 54 total injuries that season with 309 games missed through injury whereas Newcastle had 38 injuries with 258 games missed through injury. Maybe you should do your research before commenting👍
Forest fan here - I also predicted 14th. Hopefully it all comes together this season!
Love your channel btw lad, I always wanted to know what it would look like if Eugene from Hey Arnold! made football content ❤
Brentford were 5th on the list of days missed through injury, with 1702 days missed. Newcastle topped the list with 1950.
Days missed lists are pointless to look at because some teams have big squads of injured players who wouldn't get game time anyway. Aston Villa were hit hard with first team injuries last season but they barely get mentioned for their injuries because their "days missed" isn't that high in comparison
Villa won't drop down the league at all. They'll improve upon last season and finish in the top three.
Knowing Arsenal and the agendas posed against them. I could see a world where City are top. They eventually get a points deduction and the league ultimately goes to Arsenal.
The season will as a result be known as the year “Arsenal only won because City lost points”.
The best West ham prediction I have seen yet.
Seen people say 15th or 11th with no reason.
I think there will be a settling in period for us.
People are overrating Spurs, and also not realising that Villa don't have the squad depth to compete in both the league and the Champions League.
Liverpool haven't signed anyone, they've got an aging squad and Slot is a complete unknown. They could very easily finish outside of the top 4.
I'd predict:
1. City
2. Arsenal
3. Liverpool
4. Newcastle
5. Spurs
6. Man Utd
Villa is basically Newcastle in the past season.
@@Drunken_Masterthey’ve made much better signings… no diaby but maatsen is huge maybe Joao Felix…
People overrate newcastle
Why don't Villa? 2 solid options in each position. Newcastle's unluckiness with injury last season doesn't mean Villa will suffer the same.
How are people overrating Spurs lol, why cant they finish 4th
Not a bad prediction list, although I believe people are sleeping on Brighton to do much better this season. I also think Chelsea will finish lower than 10th. The bloated squad, inexperience, players upset they're not given minutes and time required for Maresca to enforce his playing style, will be too unsettled and dynamic for them to find any consistency again this season.
Joe the only creator I've seen so far to actually talk sense about Everton. Expecting us to be way worse than last year with a better squad makes no sense. Onana didn't even start during our last season surge!
Yeah - if you track his season wide minutes he wasn't exactly a super-key player.
Everyone putting Arsenal at top, signings have been good but not enough to spread the minutes to avoid injuries. I’m an Arsenal fan but I haven’t got the confidence like last year, Rice most accounts for that; but Saka, Odegaard, Rice, White, Gabriel and Saliba playing 50 games again is scaring me

I agree with your analysis on Everton and BHA in particular - confidently told two of my fellow coaches who support both teams that yesterday too before watching this video - but yesterday made it look daft 🤦.
But I don't think it'll be far off come May!
Plaudits for actually placing Villa 5th: to many pundits have dropped them in order to put big six teams above them, using the excuse of Champo
Forest have players to make a scary enough xi on paper
Sels
Williams, Murillo, milenkovic, aina
Danilo, sangaré
Gibbs-White
Elang, Wood/Awoniyi, Hudson odoi
That team could cause a lot of problems in most games, it's just Nuno as a manager that's a concern

People keep saying that Ipswich has League One players, but those players proved that they should not have been in league one in the first place. They proved that they were too good even for the championship let alone League One. Omari Hutchinson, Conor Chaplin, Leif Davis, Luke Woolfenden, Sam Morsy, Ben Johnson, Jacob Greaves, all Premier League quality players. Sheffield United was in 5th in late 2019, Ipswich can survive easily if they keep playing well.
Not sure they players you mentioned are premier League quality and not much experience either
@@danmilne2222 They are. They coasted through the championship.
Love the insight here, seriously
Liverpool looking mid, but I like the Harvey Elliot shout out.
It is hard to believe that Zubimendi was the only target, but the market for technically gifted CMs with defensive work rate is a very tight market. After losing out on Caicedo, FSG knew the state of play, and nothing changed in the state of play over the duration of a year. Begs the question: Why even sign Slot?
Fans have evert right to panic. FSG approved sources immediately began to fawn over Trey Nyoni, and began throwing Bajetic’s name around, rumors of a loan deal, but I think those are internally generated rumors, so when they come to nothing the fans have something positive to talk about.
Probably going to overpay to keep Trent Alexander Arnold just to have more technical prowess behind the halfway line.
Liverpool mid eh? Lol. Losing out on Caicedo? Yeah we really regretted not having him didn't we? 🤣 The only people who put Liverpool outside the top four are Liverpool haters. The rest have more common sense and football knowledge.
Why are people putting Liverpool so high, after 0 signings and losing Klopp they are not gonna keep their 3rd position. Just take a look at Napoli who kept all of their best players in a season where they were dominant but lost their manager and fell to 10th last season.
IDK about keeping all their best players. They lost Kim at the back for instnace.
As a Liverpool fan, I am worried and don't think we are secure for the top 4 the same way City and Arsenal are, but even without signings, generally we do have the 3rd best squad in the league if everyone is fit. Our attack is in top 3, probably have the best goalkeeper, the defence is solid (in the top 4-5) and then the midfield is very good, but still, Arne is yet unknown in the PL, it's his first season and we haven't addressed relatively big holes in the squad.
The main one is a proper number 6 that is at least a level above Endo, we still don't have a backup for Salah and Virgil, so we have to hope they don't get injured and the LB is potentially concerning if Robbo can't find his form or Tsimikas improve. I think we are 2-3 very good signings away from being in the title fight or at worse, being secured in our 3rd or 4th position.
As things stand, without signings and a new manager we may fall out of the top 4. After all, let's give some respect to Jurgen who was the 2nd best manager in the league after Pep and is a big loss for us.
Because look that the opponents xD
United and Chelsea not only wont take 3rd position but in this mess could struggle again to play in europe
Tottenham should be very improved in defense to be that high
Newcastle and Villa could fight for 4th but 3rd place will not very realistic
Who do you see getting 3rd place then?
First 3 seem absolutely locked
The issue is who gets 4th place
@@sphong0610 True I should have said most of their best players but everyone knew he was leaving the moment his release clause was leaked.
I have a feeling United will shock many people this season. Minimum is top 4
I don’t
Spurs fan here, feel this list is pin point.
People just overrate Ipswich they spent 100 mil euros and still people saying they have a world class manger😅
In-shaa-allah man city will win the league title again💞💫💫 💞💫💙💙
Newcastle had more injury issues than Brentford
Love you pep 💙love you city💙💞💫.
I'll take a 5th prediction as a Villa fan. I've already seen about 7 bazillion predictions Villa will come 8th. So tired of everyone just assuming we will drop off so much. I still think we can get top 4 again, but we'll see what the season holds.
Absolutely the most arguments are that villa will struggle having to deal with Europe but you finished 4th with conference league.I think 5th is about right and that will still be a good season for Villa.I think pound for pound with Klopp gone Emery is the second best manager in the league he's done amazing
Saying villa will finish 8th is kind, think they will be about 11th
I’d love to know the 2-3 better managers than Unai Emery.
Gary O'Neil, Marco Silva, Thomas Frank, Julien lopetegui, there's at least 4 for you 👍
@@danmilne2222LOL
Right now - Pep & Arteta.
@@joethomlinson_ Pep is for sure, I just don’t believe Artetas resume matches up. Even head to head, Emery tactically schooled them both last season. More than reasonable to prefer Arteta though, as long as we can agree there isn’t a 3rd better manager.
Love the Pumas representation 🐾😼
As an everton fan i am greatfull but i not sure if i agree with your placment of everton
Think United could make a late push, as a liverpool fan I think they're pretty good and play good football, they just need to stabilize with the injuries they now have...
Also, if Arsenal don't win it this year, they won't for at least another 2, city have these 3 years cycles, this is now year 3 of the cycle...
My top 6 prediction
1 Arsenal
2 City
3 Liverpool
4 Chelsea
5 Newcastle
6 Tottenham
Arsenal to go out of title race come game week 9, mark my words.
😂😂yea ima come back to this pussio
watching this immediately after losing to leicester makes it sting so much more
A draw, but I understand it feeling like a loss.
Fucking hell, no way Chelsea is finishing 6th
Joe, what a kit son. Respect.
I think Everton and Spurs will finish lower Joe. Overall though decent selection.
For the sake of the premier league I hope at least 1 of the 3 promoted teams stay up
its great to see people believing in arsenal :') I hope we can live up to it!! coyg!!
In my opinion Liverpool isn’t even rush top 4 new coach decrease of a Salah not very exciting about Eliott which I found little bit overatted and they summers window is pretty anonymous

Keep in mind they can only play eleven players at any given moment. If they could play 45 at once you might be right.
I think both Man City and Arsenal form will drop this season Idk maybe because I think this season is going to be more competitive 🤷♂
Mentioned everyone else’s injury crisis besides Chelsea’s
I don’t actually understand how Newcastle can be so low they have many important players back from injury like Botman and d still have elite player in every line especially Bruno and Isak lets see if Gordon gonna stay but even if he left Newcastle gonna be top 6 at least
Loving the new channel bro. How did you do with your predictions last year?
Rubbish!
The most outrageous pick of this video is 100% Everton. Very high
did you actually listen to what he said?
I can't see any championship promotees staying in the Premier league in the next few years at least.
What is the reason for so many people predicting Forest will easily stay up? They'll be no better than last season in my opinion and it only takes one promoted team doing better than last season (all 3 promoted teams being relegated has only happened twice in the PL era) for them to be in real trouble.
99% have said Forest will be relegated without any research like yourself 👍🏻
It won’t be easy but 13-16 should be achievable.
Reasons for Forest to stay up?
Settled squad for the 1st time in the Prem, got rid of deadwood and fringe players. Kept all their best players at this point.
Players like CHO, Elanga, Murillo, Danillo now in their 2nd full season and have high ceilings to keep improving 👍🏻
Sangare was injured & unsettled most of last season. He’s looked like a beast in pre-season & is an elite No.6 ready to prove it 👍🏻
Recruited well with Elliot Anderson and Milenkovic who will improve first 11. Goals conceded from set pieces was the main reason for being at bottom and Milenkovic should help with that. Scoring from set pieces was terrible, now with Elliot Anderson on it, really exciting!
Can’t be as bad as last season with PSR, ref and VAR disgrace !
And the other thing no one talked about was AFCON with 6 1st team players unavailable for a number of weeks including 3 of their best back 4 and then 3 out of 6 came back injured as well.
How’s that for you? 🤷🏻♂️
@@RobinHood-us7sg a fair assessment, well put. Thanks
West ham are really a scary team. Top 6 teams beware!!!
Cheers Joe, i reckon pretty much the same i do think arsenal will do it aswell
Im an arsenal fan and I am really pessimistic this season for some reason. I don't know if it's because I'm expecting a burnout or that I think we haven't signed a midfielder with the only link being merino (and I think their are better options on the market). Hopefully I'm proven wrong and the premier league dissolve man city as a club for all their financial bullshit
Someone's dine there homework good job
interesting Forest in 14th position about the prediction some of us have us at. I think given the squad improvements and reducing our numbers and pre-season 12th. However not a lot in it.
Forest to finish 12th? Don't think so, bottom three this time
@@danmilne2222from what research? And don’t say last 2 seasons 🤦🏻♂️ that’s like saying Chelsea winning the league because they have spent the most money or have the biggest squad. Lazy 😉

That selection with no Liverpool in the top four and United third, Chelsea sixth has just completely destroyed your credibility.

Douglas Luiz is 5 times the player Onana is
wouldn’t say he’s a better player but he’s definitely better at defending
@@trickleteeth3425 douglas luiz was horrible since christmas
Idk if it's an improvement or not because they're styles are completely different. Luiz was a playmaker but onana will just out strength everyone in the midfield
I’d take Douglas over Onana any day like and I’m a fan of neither teams they played for
100% agreed with ur list expect leicester man they are not getting relegated thers no way
Chelsea winning the league this season
Everton 11th seriously? 😂 Not a chance there finishing above Bournemouth, Wolves and especially Brighton. Newcastle comfortably above villa as well

Im a toffee i think 11th is to low i think we will finish about 8th maybe even getting Europe if yo think im mad thats your opinion.
SpursY are not strong enough to cover injuries with the cup runs which cant be as bad as last year AND the Europa which could go well beyond the group stage.56-58 points is all I can see them getting against the other managers who KNOW the TH gameplay and will exploit the thin defensive capabilities. They will CONCEDE against set pieces!....City and GOONS should be top 2....3/4 between liverPool Villa United Newcastle Chelsea.
Villa's expected points since mid January were 15th in the league, 9th by actual points. It's not just the UCL being more difficult, but their form was genuinely mid table or worse. I see that continuing, even though I like a lot of their business.
Villa's form has been in the top 4 over the period of Emery's appointment
