Thank you for this. Super simple. Ordered the part from Amazon and replaced it less than 10 min. Next, I'm going to replace the speaker and upgrade the ram.

@@ItsBinhRepaired There are versions of this laptop with 4 GB of RAM. I have this version. I meant whether it's this samsung RAM model or not. I want to improve this laptop, expand RAM. (I write with the help of a translator, so it may not be clear when reading.)

Hi, I'm a noob at these things. Can you please suggest what ram to use that is compatible? Does ddr4 and MHz matter and should match the soldered one etc.

In that case you should watch the entire video from start to finish. Also, this one already had a 16gb stick. I don't know if you can find anything higher.

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad 460s and though not a comp tech I took back off to look at the ram and noticed it says 4gb ram, but when I go onto computer specs about, it says I have 8gb ram. I want to upgrade to 16gb. bit confused as to why it says under the bonnet 4gb ram when I would assume it should say 8gb ram??

I wonder if you could add a 1x32gb. it comes w/ 4 or 8 soldered and the manual says you can add 16 to get 20 or 24. when the manual was written there was no 1x32 and the chipset is supposed to be able to handle 32 maximum
