There should have been an Easter Egg where if both players choose Kazuya, the Tekken announcer comes on instead and says: " GET READY FOR THE NEXT BATTLE".

They didn't need to do Kazuya mirrors. They could've very well done Terry vs Pac-Man.
But they didn't.
They both knew what the audience wanted. They both knew what we have all came to see.

I was just thinking the other day how much I'd love to see these guys ditto. That was awesome
I counted 28 electrics in game 1, 30 electrics in game 2, 20 electrics in game 3, and 37 electrics in game 4. A combined total of 115 electrics in this set, assuming I counted correctly.
EWGFs or electric moves. Or something else (I don’t okay Kazuya)

I really wish Riddles would believe more in Kazuya, I know he values consistency but look at this crazy set! It could’ve even been a game 5 but he dropped the electric at the end there.

I love Kazuya mirrors, they're just so memey. You basically just get to take turns showing off how cool your combos are to the other person, not to mention cheesy dodging and grab/ewgf clanking when you both go for the same move.

At the last game last stock, one Kazuya punished another Kazuya's mashing with side B, which was a secret solution for him.
This was definitely the best smash set I’ve seen in a while. No lame camping/zoning, just straight up brawling

Plz remember Canada isn’t as rich with Smash talent. We only have 35 million people in the entire country and Riddles is from a place with maybe 5 million people around him.
His city is 2 million people (at bessst), and the surrounding areas have like… another couple million combined.
For instance, Dabuz has around 30-40 million people just in his vicinity; there are a lot of killers in Tristate.
We won’t know how good riddles is for another year or two, imo.

@ 8:30 Riddles one hit away to take the game but Tea just dance around that move and attack back the same move and Riddles land on the platform after a footstool for which Tea followed up to kill him with a combo finisher. That exchange was flawless.
The way Tea just stands there at 8:43 like a Dawg is the most hype thing to me.
In front of his opponent who many were considering the best Kazuya, crazy.

dude that last combo was nuts. tea had been fishing for that all set and riddles kept doing getup attack. at the last moment yea finally adapted and used the side b to stun to finish it. absolutely crazy

You love to see NA’s best Kazuya vs Japan’s best. Riddles had some opportunities that he dropped (unfortunately) but he still played super well against Tea, but Tea is just too good.

That last footstool stock was perfect. These games are so explosive, the stocks are flying so fasr. I like how they both nod their heads when the other gets a stock. Much respect between these two.
I was in the public, the last stock with the foot stole combo was one of the most insane moment in smash, the crowd was crazy after that

I was looking forward to the match between tricky Tea Kazuya and Riddles Kazuya, but again both chose Kazuya and the match ended quickly.

With the options Tea goes for, it makes it seem like he only ever memes on elite smash for practice
At this moment Riddles has his Joker moment dropped Kazuya harder than gravity for Steve.
I dont know how the matchups are, but tea could have easily switched to pacman, and riddles could have easily switched to one of his many other characters, but i respect that they didnt.
We need a restaurant where we can enjoy a meal while watching the tea and Riddles matches.
My favourite set since Big D v Cosmos. Watching two of the finest Kazuya's just trying to out zero-to-death the other was so entertaining.

Rewatching this set, and finally noticing the intense conditioning tea had on riddles. Riddles final get up attack whiffed cause he kept doing it all set. Tea had him in checkmate asf.
Tea is the only person I respect when he uses the Golden Kazuya Skin

I don't think he feels too bad. The MU is pretty volatile. Anyone can just die if they guess right, and Tea's Kazuya almost beat Leo. So he's very good with the character to say the least.

There is no balance issue when both using the same character .
Peak Kazuya is using EWGF after your opponent but still beating theirs out because of i-frames.
If you had told me at any point before right now that the best set in all of smash would have kazuya in it, I’d be skeptical. But TWO?? And the two BEST in the WORLD?? That’s exciting. And by god, was this set amazing. They need to do Salty Suites where these guys play each other once a year at minimum. I’m declaring it now, this is the best set of smash ultimate so far, period.
Riddles could have counter picked to Terry. But he didn’t. He gave us all the show we wanted, even if it meant losing.
Some things are more important than winning. Like having fun and putting on a good show. And in the end, that’s what fighting games are all about. Good on you Riddles.
Also I’m actually shocked Tea won. Riddles is THE FGC character master and Tea beat him at his own game. Mad respect to Tea as well. Please come to more American tournaments.
