Another great way to put the pillow in is using the buttons or snaps from the shirt as the opening to stuff it. I loved your tutorial. Thanks for sharing!!!
Very Nice 🙂 When I made one from my husband shirt, I sewed the bottom closed and put the pillow in thru the shirt front, then buttoned it closed. I like how you got the collar to fit. Thanks ❤
I am a beginner in quilting and I think I am doing pretty well but wanted to make a pillow for the girls for Christmas with a emblem on it from their fathers shirt so now with this tutorial I can make the pillows thank you so so much for this.
I am glad you liked the tutorial. I am so sorry for your loss. I bet your siblings will love having a memory shirt. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Nathalie. Glad you were able to take some time off. I took some time off too from my Mission Sewing Team. I needed a break in January. We are supposed to meet on Monday and Tuesday, but we are in the midst of another blizzard with ice tonight and tomorrow. So I called everyone and told them to stay home and sew. It's safer that way. I pray this finds you well. Take care. Blessings.
Hey, Carol! It's good to hear from you. Yuck on the blizzard. In Texas, 2" is a blizzard. We sure are wimps when it comes to snow and ice! Now that I have had some time up it's hard to get going again! I think I might be like a cool engine and might need a jump start! LOL! The family is all good here! Blessings to you, dear one. And to your sewing team!!!
I've never been here before. This is interesting. I'd like the make one. Dont know if I can. I'm trying to even thread my machine...which I havent been able to do it.
I just made a pillow using this tutorial and it turned out pretty great for a first shot - do you have a tutorial for the envelope pillow you mentioned? Thanks!

My dad passed away in October. Mom hasn’t got rid of this clothes yet. So...I slyly threw 5 of his shirts in my suitcase this morning as I left her house after a visit.

Great suggestion. Thanks!!!

Love the way you did collar area. Thanks for sharing
I'm glad you liked the collar detail!
I like how you did your collar. You can see all around and open the buttons and put pillow through the opening.
Oh that's a great idea. I wish I had thought of that!!!

Phyllis, thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. That is a good idea to go thru the front.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. The best collar idea I have seen yet.
Thanks, Debbie!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial!!! LOVE how you did the collar!
You are so welcome!

Awesome!!! I am so happy that I could help you in your stitching journey
Thank you very much for showing me how to include the collar. My dad just passed away in April and will be doing this to his shirts for my siblings.
I am glad you liked the tutorial. I am so sorry for your loss. I bet your siblings will love having a memory shirt. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I loved this video. Thank you very much. My friend's husband passed away two weeks ago and I would love to do this for their three teenage children.
I am so blessed that you liked the video. These make such special treasures!
This was easy to make with the collar. I had a sample shirt to try and make this pillow. Great tutorial.
And also if it's a button shirt you can use button front to open the shirt so you don't hand sew the bottom.
Thank you!!!
That's a great idea!!!

Sounds so easy. Hope I do it justice as I’m making three for my g’daughters from their sweet Papa for Christmas.
Oh, I bet they will love that!!!

I am so glad you stopped by! I hope you can get your machine threaded!
Depending where you are located, you can always call a fabric shop. Someone should be able to help walk you through threading the machine.

Thank you so much. ❤️
Brianna, you are welcome
Glad you liked it@

Glad it was helpful!
Hi Maria from UK,what size was your placemats for the zipper pouch please ?
Hello, Maria from the UK. The placemats are 12" x 18". I hope this helps.
Do you see down the opening placket where the buttons are in the front? Thank you
Because I used a pillow form I did not stitch the placket. If you use poly-fill, you will need to stitch it closed. I hope this helps!
@@mywithallmyart Thank you!!
Thank you for this
You're welcome!
wondered why u don't just use the buttons to open n put pillow into?
You sure can do that it you want to!
I made pillows for my siblings. But I put a photo of my mom wearing her items as she stood with each of her kids.
Oh that is so sweet! I bet they loved that!
Why didn't you sew the bottom and put the pillow form in by unbuttoning the shirt?
Great idea!
Why didn’t you sew it all the way around and open the buttons and stuff it that way? Eliminate the hand sewing!
I guess I could have done that but I didn't want the button area to open up.
