I work at a nissan dealership and have done these recalls. From a workshop side they're really easy to do and take about 10 minutes to complete. We've had this issue for a while with the AC compressor pulley wearing through the hose. Some hoses sit really close and others aren't anywhere near it. With regards to the repair, the original way to fix it was to replace the hose with a new one that had a mesh sleeve over it to protect it from wear, and I think the cable tie repair is better. At first glance it seems like a cheap and tacky repair, but cable ties on hoses are a pretty common way of securing them. From what I know, there's nothing wrong with the hose it's just a clearence issue, you just have to make sure the technician who does the repair drills the hole to the right size, because if it's too big the hose will pop back off.
Yup sounds right & as you say its an industry standard to secure pipes using these clips. Still it enabled him to make another vid claiming he sorted the problem years ago & then started waffling on about pressure & pumps blah blah, god knows why people are taken in by his channel ?
Watched loads of you're videos, top man helping Navara and 4x4 owners!!! I was watching mighty car mods and noticed Marty also says shazzis :D in Australia mate!! Had to comment it!! Thanks for all you're content mate
Mine failed in Croatia, nightmare getting home using Warranty recovery as new hose going to take 10 days to get. Once recovered to UK hose replaced under warranty, new hose was supplied sheathed with woven nylon over sleeve and metal bracket retaining to radiator.
Haha 😂 somebody got butt hurt 😭 over Christmas why don’t you get off the internet and spend some time with your family you will feel much better troll are not nice people 😡😡
Do you know if the Spain built d23 has a bracket at the bottom of the lower radiator hoses? My Thailand built D23 just cooked because of this issue and Nissan Australia are saying that it’s not part of the recall because the Thailand built engines have a bracket at the bottom of the hoses where they join together… any help would be much appreciated cheers
I have a np300 and recall for this Monday, for 3.week my truck is overheating, changed 2 pumps on radiator and main one on engine, but. Still have the issues,. What would happen or am I to late with engine
i have experienced with that kind of problem the radiator hose touching the pulley and was damaged and leaked. for more than two years i leave this problem but last month the leaked has cause me problems because ivé just only repaired it with plastic epoxy. i DIY once again..and with a thorough inspection i found out that the connector between the two hoses from radiator to turbo. the position of the plastic hose connector is in the wrong way the slot was not inserted to the bracket so i changed the position..then that was it..the hose distance from the crankshaft pulley, problem solved. check your NAVI maybe we have the same problem..why recall it? just a small factory defect..
Hi mate I'm a little confused, I have a zd30 1999 nissan patrol with head problems. I have been turning this over by hand for days, can't seem to get all timing marks to line up ,before head removal . Now my way of thinking is , if your on tdc with cam lobs facing the right way , you should be able to mark the gear drives and timing chain. So long as nothing is turned and all your marks line up, it should still be timed correctly, am I on the money or way off . Any help would be greatly appreciated . Yours sincerely Keith from down under , but was born and raised in the SE18 area.
Actually all that information is incorrect. The pipe doesn't expand at all. It doesn't hit the crank pulley either. The issue is caused by the pipe not being refitted correctly and or the bolt being left out completely. The pipe actually catches on the A/C pump also.
Shaun Everard we are in contact with Nissan who explained the recall and we had a Nissan through are doors in which this had happened to it we did a video on it buddy
I have a d40 navara and it won't start or crank over I need help have you got any idea on what to fix, nats light stays on when I try to start it all fuses and relays are fine
Your family's bread is buttered by the work you supposedly do n nissans. I am supposed NIssan hasn't given you a job yet as you know so much more than their multi million dollar R&D department.
Why the hell are people still buying Nissan's. There absolute junk. The amount of zd30 and YD motors iv acquired over the years from people buying cheap 4x4s is ridiculous. There cheap for a reason..

I find that a lot of the time it’s clowns servicing them getting at oil filter taking pipe off and not reclipping it back . that ends up causing it !
That park looks beautiful.
Stunning mate
Google 'des marples , west Yorkshire engines' this guy is a joke
He’s a thieving rat. All the family involved. Steer well clear!
