- Finance Entrepreneur Dr Roger Gewolb discusses the “shocking” footage released by families of Israeli hostages.
The families of five female Israeli soldiers held hostage by Hamas have released a graphic video showing their abduction.
They labelled it a damning testament to the nation’s failure to bring home the hostages.
“The worst parts of that video which are really horrific have been removed,” Dr Gewolb told Sky News host Gabriella Power.
“It is really shocking.
“Hopefully it will bring the hostages to the attention of all the people who are demanding a ceasefire and the rest.”
Women should be worried about the future of their freedom if this Islamic movement continues.

One of the differences between Israel and Hamas is that Israel didn't want this war, and still doesn't. Nobody wanted it. Everybody is traumatized by it. And everything that Israel is doing is to ensure that it never happens again. Because the only way for it to never happen again is if hamas ceases to be. Every other option will just lead to more suffering and deathes in the future, on both sides. And for that to happen Israel is trying to dismantle hamas and target the terrorists, but its very hard to avoid civilian casualties when the terrorists use their own people as humen shields. Another difference between the two is that Israel at least tries to protect its people, while hamas actually does every effort to put its own people in harm's way just to make Israel look as bad as possible.
And also, Israel does make efforts to decrease harm to gazan civilians. I know that there are people who claim that Israel doesn't do enough to decrease harm to gazan civilians, but:
1. It's very hard to protect the other side's civilians when the other side itself uses its own civilians as human shields and stills aid from them.
2. I don't think it's possible to judge and say Israel is not doing enough effort to protect gazan civilians, because I don't think any other country has ever been in Israel's place and had to protect both its people and the enemy's people during war with an enemy who actually makes it even harder to protect its own people by using them as humen shields. When judging efforts its not enough to look only at the results. Failure to achieve a good result is not always due to lack of effort. Sometimes there are other factors. And in this case, there definitely are.

Well said folks. I’m N. Irish and lived through 30 years of terrorism. I have many horrible memories. I wish these students would do proper research. They are foolish beyond the pale.

It "ordered" Israel to discontinue its Rafah offensive because of harm occurring to Palestinians taking refuge in Rafah. Polls of Palestinians show 70% of Palestinians approve the atrocities of 10/7 and at least that percentage approve the arson kites, cars ramming into bus stops , explosive laden balloons sent to Israeli kindergartens, and the tens of thousands of rockets fired into Israel by Hamas, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and Palestinian supporters in Iraq. Ordering Israel to stop its fighting the attempts to destroy it is just plain stupid. What kind of drugs are these judges taking?
Maybe you do not know the differences between DEFENSE and OFFENSE. The first one is ok, the second one not. It’s pretty easy to understand, as you can see all the world understand it.
