You really upped the brutality on this one bro. Slam death metal is arguably the heaviest expression of metal possible. Your intuitive feel for how the riff variates shows why Spellcraft is gold. You UNDERSTAND song writing - not serving up riff soup.
I like that you made sure to really pinpoint the importance of songwriting. A lot of modern slam bands seem to rely solely on power chord riffs and fail to mix in things such as tremolo picking
@@TheDistortionPrinciple Definitely, Suffocation, Deeds of Flesh, Defeated Sanity, know how to actually write songs, the best type of BDM riffs in my opinion are power chords combined with tremolo picking as well as single notes.
Would like to work on a solo but I don't have a guitar with a whammy bar. Yet! I do but the strap fell off and I cracked the neck. Had that guitar since I was 14. I am 50 now.😢 This requires some dive bombs
Great video those riffs have that resurrection vibe going which makes me want to drink the urine from my dog I feel insane when I do this but I like it

Heck yeah badass riffs
Thanks bro!
Sick! You rock! 🤘🏻
Thanks!
I always thought a riff that has a pinch harmonic sounds pretty cool. And yeah it sounded cool when you doubled it.
Hell yea. Thanks!

Yep! Bands like suffo who arguably created that style of riff always mixed it up

Cool riffs! I really like the chorus part. Going to fire up the Valvestate tonight after work and jam along.
Its gonna sound so good on that! I need to hunt one down at some point
@@TheDistortionPrincipleYep! That was fun. The Valvestate captured the sound of your shirt. Thanks!

Best subgenre of death metal in my opinion, C sharp is the ideal BDM tuning if you ask me
Agreed! Iommi gave us all such a great tuning for death and doom
Hey bro, nice video, nice riff, nice explanation. Salutes from São Paulo!
Thanks glad you dig it!
I really like your guitar. What's the model?
