A Jennifer video!! How’s your back/ how you feeling now? I did a combi read with The Beesting so didn’t notice the punctuation thing with Imelda.I felt the same as you with This Other Eden. I DNF’ed Western lane too! Always good to hear your thoughts even if one was on killer rats 🐀😱😱😱😉

Haha, those killer rats were great fun! I hope The Bee Sting wins 🤞 I'm feeling much better thanks, not 100% but much improved! It's nice to be back 😁

Hiding behind your fingers 😂 well that goes to show how good the movie was. I just read Halloween Party last month. Fun!

I think Halloween Party is one of Christie's darker books, good though. The movie A Haunting in Venice bears no resemblance to it other than being set at Halloween 🤷

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who watched parts of A Haunting in Venice through my fingers!
I'm with you on The Whistling. I did read it all and it was...fine. I read it early in my spooky season reading and I think that it probably wouldn't have been successful for me if I had read it after reading some other (better) books.
So, I did not DNF Western Lane, but I wish I had. I kept thinking, "Something has got to happen, right?" Wrong. Oh well...at least it was short!

Haha, yes, A Haunting in Venice was pretty scary!
Sounds like I didn't miss too much with Western Lane then, I was getting the feeling that the rest of the book would continue in the same vein and I had so many other books staring at me 😂

Haha, but I'd defo pick up the next in the series, I didn't realise how entertaining killer rats could be! 🐀
Thank you and we are really liking our new home, now that the stress of the move is passing 🙈

How are the kitties settling in to the new house?

We just have the one cat, she seems pretty settled, we introduced her to the house slowly, so just downstairs to start with, I think we are all settling in pretty well 😊

Our buddy read was so fun! Definitely a lack of lesbians though. I keep seeing The Bee Sting everywhere so I guess I need to read it! 😊 Have you read Taylor Adam's book No Exit? It's fast and over the top too, although the ending was a bit far fetched. Ooh, I'm bummed The Hole wasn't very good. I've got that on my tbr. I'm glad you are getting settled in the new house and I hope you are feeling better.

Yes, I did enjoy No Exit and agree it was a bit OTT. Enjoyable and action packed though! Lots of people do like The Hole so maybe I'm an outlier on that one, hopefully you'll like it. Our buddy read was great fun 😊 I wonder if The Bee Sting will win the Booker, I hope so but the one I want to win never does!
