  • In this session on curiosity driven research and creativity in science, physicist Suzie Sheehy explores how we can build knowledge and solve hard problems. She talks about how we should not dismiss ideas before they have had time to develop. She stresses the importance of collaboration and that is key for the collective in the future.
'We seem particularly bad at recognising how curiosity-driven research contributes to our ability to solve real-world problems'.
Suzie Sheehy is a physicist, science communicator and academic at the University of Oxford and University of Melbourne. Her research addresses both curiosity-driven and applied areas and is currently focused on developing new particle accelerators for applications in medicine.
