- On Monday April 22nd, the global motorsport icons of Valentino Rossi and Kyle Busch made a pilgrimage to Charlotte Motor Speedway, North Carolina and set about fulfilling a personal dream as well as some awesome history for the sport of NASCAR.

What makes VR so great is that he is very fast in any vehicle and these guys would be very slow on a GP bike.

What this vid didn't say was that Rossi set a lap time that would've seen him qualify in the Top 15 for a race. Considering he has never been in the car or oval that's more than impressive. He also set a lap time just over a second off Schumacher's lap time in a Ferrari F1 car and he also rallies.
The subtitles are an insult to Valentino we can understand him perfectly without them.

A stock car is a real handful to drive vs any road car, you can't just point where you want and get back on the gas. A lot cruder power curve, more weight, plus less suspension, downforce and tires, you'll see a lot of the time that they have to play with the steering and the throttle a lot to maintain control as they basically float around the track, it's pretty intense.
It's a perfect balance of stable and unstable.
If he retires from MotoGP he should really join NASCAR and maybe do some rallying and Isle of Man TT .He is already a legend on two wheels, hope he becomes a legend in four wheels too.And for some of you complaining, it is much easier for a biker to driver a car than for a driver to ride a bike. Maybe some drivers dont even know how to ride.

timone1002 Yes I know but race pace is totally different, you have to overtake,manage tyres and fuel and how to set up and develop your car. Rossi has no experience in that.
actually he has great experience in that, rossi is the master of a fast race pcae and keeping tires good while overpassing. understandig grip level and duration is not that hard when you ahve excellent feel, and know what the car is doing, which rossi does, and thats why they were trying to get him to switch
True it says no lap time but if you look on Wikipedia it says his average speed is 185.43 MPH. An easy way to figure the time is 3600X1.5(length of charlotte) then divide it by the 185.43. That equals to a time of 29.121 seconds that would place him somewhere in the mid teens for nationwide series qualifying.
rossi also tested the ferrari f1 car, and after one day in the car he was 1 second off of fernando alonzo, and ferari tried to get him to switch to f1, but he refused because f1 is too boring.. lol, love rossi

Checkin the last onboard lap,he did a 29.5 seconds(approx) lap, for a 183 mph of avarage speed.. not bad at all considering that the spring test saw the 15th place at 28.6..!! Amazing Vale

That's not a competitive lap, he didn't even brake. At Charlotte you have to use your brakes in the corners

What is your definition of a real motor-sport driver? Kyle Busch is one the best drivers in the world. Two Formula 1 teams wanted him to come test there cars in hopes he would change to Formula 1. He declined and decided to stay in Nascar. As you know F1 teams don't just ask any driver to join there team. Stewart on the other hand has one championships in Sprint Cars, Open wheel cars, and stock cars. When Jeff Gordon tested with Williams his times were competitive, especially for his first time.
