Im fixin to try and do an 06 wide glide. Thanks for the vid. The latin community got the Harleys right. I want to build my own. Just couldnt get over the 13 and 14 inch tires on their cars that were domestic and big. With the Harley they went big tire. Thats what works for me. My lowriders, while I respect the thought process, always had big wheels tucked under. We all know the cholo bike and the lowrider are from the cool assed latins. Glad your here. Seen what the cubans did with less? Thats cool shit to. Anyway my fellow human being, god bless, happy life.
Bro I just came across your channel. I have many bikes in my life but i really like the cholo looke I’m not a cholo lol . But if I where to do one and I’m very serious about doing one it definitely would be this color. And part you put on this bike 👍 . That’s something funny I was born in Queens New York left there at two weeks old move to Florida. And just sold my CVO road glide to the same shop I dealt with Paul known him for years you bought that that deluxe from I live 10 minutes from there, crazy
I love the detail on the bike it’s beautiful and the video presentation plays on the emotions in so many way. It excites, motivates, and man your heat gun scene... 🤣hillarious!!! I also know the frustration in putting it together, losing valuable time when you can be living the dream. But we know it’s a labor of love.
Yea im in the middle of a street glide build myself. Gonna finish the cosmetics this yr. And hopefully next yr. Im going all in on engine performance mods.
I am about to buy a road king myself and was going to do 18” bars and was wondering which bars do you like better, the gangster bars on the soft tail or the straight bars on the road king?
Hi . Thanks for the video, very interesting. I would like to ask you for advice. I am 6ft 3in and have a low seat. I choose handelbars between 16 and 18 inches. which one would you recommend? I doubt that the 18 inch handlebar will look nice, very high when the bike is standing, there will be no harmony. thanks for the answer .
Hi I really enjoyed your video. Use to have a Deluxe traded in for Ultra Classic electra Gilde about five years ago. I have been thinking about buying another one and doing all the works myself. Thank you you inspired me. Just wanted a list of the parts that you bought. Thank you again.
Thanks Matt, I appreciate your support. The list is gigantic, and still growing. In this film I used 16" carlini gangsters 1.25" thick. Carlini 2 inch risers, solid metal bushings and magnum stainless braided cables. As for just about everything else I described it in a film I made around this time last year. I'll send you the link

I want to get the Carlinis 16" Gangster apes as well, then I need some Riderights rims and tires and I think my bike is all good, so I just have a little more to go.
I couldn't tell you, I'm about 5'11" and I went 16" with 2" inch risers. It really depends on your seat height, your triple tree height and your personal comfort. One ape forum guy had good advice, he said "have a size that seems logical, then get one 2" taller". For me 14" would have been more comfortable, but 16" makes me feel like a badass. Needless to say, I'm glad I went with the 16. Fuck comfort, save that for the couch
Hey man, great vids. How tall are you? I’m looking at 16” apes at 5’10” with an average reach. Dig the riding position you have there and wanted to see how close it would be.
I have a question for you, when you bought those bars did they come with the cables and wiring or did you buy those separately? And if so where did you get them from. Thinking about trying the same thing on my bike. Thanks and the bike look great by the way!
Hey man beautiful bike I have an '07 and I wanna put Gangster bars 14" on it and I'm also interested in the wheels you have too. Would mind sending me the specs or part numbers for cables and wheels. Thx man good luck
You can get the cables on magnum's website. They sell all the cables and wires as a kit for the size bars you want and model you have. Those wheels are long gone now, sold them last year. But that configuration I had was 21x3.5 16x3.5. Watch the video I did on the new wheels, I go into real depth about them.
Risers are usually pretty easy. Just don't tighten them fully until the bars are in place (for alignment reasons). If you're going to change your riser bushing than this is the perfect time to do so. I personally went with solid metal bushings which I definitely recommend with apes. They'll really keep your bars feeling locked in place. The old ones usually pop out with a flathead, new ones can be thumb pushed into place. It's pretty easy my man, you'll be fine. I thought the hardest part was setting up the cables, and snaking wires through the bars.
I have a question for you actually it’s more of me asking your opinion. How do you think the 18” Carlini gangster apes with their lo pro riser would compare to the 16” with the 2” riser you have? I’m about your height and am trying to decide between the two set ups and was just looking for your thoughts. Thank you btw your video intros are badass Hollywood Movie comparable!
Thanks man. So I'm sure you did the math already, mine being 18" total and the setup you're thinking about would be 19.25". My opinion for my height - 19.25" would be really cool if it was around-town riding. But longer rides/trips 3+hours would start to be a chore. You also need to factor in your seat and suspension setup. A stock seat sits about an inch higher than a bare bones seat. And if you have a low front end and your rear is close to stock height then it changes the angle of your arms when they're extended to the bars (its subtle but noticeable) I hope I helped to shine some light. But I'd recommend to try riding a friends bike which has apes to get a feel of what might work for you.
I'm in the process of putting bars on. Does your bike have abs? If so how did you bleed your system after line install? I can't find any info (looked fir days). I would prefer not to have to take it to harley and get charged an arm and leg.
Don't take it to harley, this is easy. (Trying to remember from memory) There is a black plastic cap on your front caliper. Remove it to expose the drain bolt. Get an oil pan and place it under the drain bolt. Remove the drain bolt Remove the brake reservoir cap on your handlebars. Start squeezing the front brake lever slowly over and over to get fluid to flow out of the drain on your caliper. Do that until the fluid starts coming out without any gurgling from the air. That means the air is out of your lines. Tighten up the drain bolt/plastic cap, top off the fluid in the reservoir, re-secure the reservoir cap and you're all done. ***Test the brakes in your driveway/garage before you go out on the road***
