Bro, I'm a Mexican American born and raised in East Los Angeles. I've seen many Bikes by real cholos in my time. But this is definitely one of the better looking ones I've seen in a while.

I also have shotgun shocks but on my 03 Road King and love pulling up to places and watching people turnaround looking for the bike releasing the air and when they see my bike getting dumping I get the thumbs up and smiles.... Great video......just got back from Sturgis and got the itch for an upgrade on my 07 Softail Heritage was thinking about which air ride to install, going with Shotgun and was a little concerned about the install but you made it crystal clear... thanks John... Going to order mine this week.
Great product from a great company! I have one on my 15 deluxe had it for years had an issue with it once they 100% warrantied it and didnt charge me for the labor! Highly Recommend!

Great film JT I just installed the same shock great product.. Easy install and awesome harness mine went in a little different to yours being the 07 Deluxe compressor mounts to the underside of the trans..Still working out the best ride height and rebound but lovin the slammed look you can get..look forward to a review after you have a heap of miles on it. What size riser did you get for your gangsters? Can I use the stock risers that are on the bike? Hope you don’t mind me asking.
You can use stock risers only if you get tapered bars to accommodate the smaller mounting diameter of the risers. My recommendation would be to get new risers, it'll look a lot better. Mine are 2"

I've got shotgun shocks on my 2007 cholo heritage. You are correct about the ride, its amazingly smooth when you got it setup for your personal preference. I typically only mess with the front toggle switch, I find its easier to get back to my personal ride stiffness. Ill dump the front switch when I park, takes about 30sec or so to air back up when I leave. Great video and tutorial, I subscribed after watching a few of your videos. Great content and sick ass bike bro.

Haha thanks dude. Getting everything all at once sounds good, but in reality it's so much more rewarding when it happens slowly. I've said this before, enjoy the build process because once it's over, it's over.

They simplified it for the M8's. Single shock under the seat instead of 2 which is nice. New York to Myrtle beach and back without a single issue.

I need these soooo bad. My Texas Chopper is 2 3/4" from the ground and I drag frame on the right turns and kickstand on the left ones. Hell, I had to buy an ultra low profile pancake jack just to get my front wheel off. Up to 3 more inches of ride height would be a dream.
I wanted to go with shotgun but they are backordered at least 4 to 5 weeks. I bought Legend. I got a great price and will be installing them this week sometime.

I put Shotguns on my Softie about 6 or 7 years ago. No problems. It's great to switch from slammed to plush on the Hwy.

I’ve been waiting for this video for awhile, I knew it was coming and you nailed it John. So informative and detailed as well as adding your dope film touches. What made you go with shotgun instead of SAS? I’m just curious, seems like the SAS would be a much easier instal.
Thanks man, yeah SAS sounded really promising with their built-in compressor, but I read that because it's built-in they had to sacrifice the size of the compressor leading to much slower pressure build up times. Also, they just didn't have the reputation and support that shotgun had.
My research indicated that if you want the best, then shotgun is the way to go.

I have air ride on one of my bikes, I picked up a new compressor from JD a year ago and have not yet installed it. It’s nice to have adjustable rear suspension on the fly, especially when you hit the twisties. Then there’s the cool factor when you park it.👍
Nah no deal, I didn't tell him I was going to do a film on it. Probably should have though.
And no problem with clearance with the new fender. Fenders are made by pickard.
The fork cans are made by drag specialties and are 2" over stock. I touched on that in the fork lowering film. I may change things up on the front end though.

Thanks bro, my best advice would be to literally scour the internet for pictures and videos and get a really "clear" idea of how you want yours to look like.
Personally, I changed my mind a few times during the course of this build and it cost me thousands of dollars to replace parts that I already replaced. For example, this bike has had 4 exhaust systems in the last 3 years, 3 intakes, 3 floorboards. Just to name a few

Nice Vicla. Need that front air ride. Use your crash bar As the air tank so you don’t have to wait to build air pressure. Your up and down switches would look and feel better on your handle bars next to your switch housings. Either way your bike is Bad Ass.
Tried front air ride, didn't like it so I went back to the monotubes and made my own custom drop at about 2.5". The switches are going to change, but I've got plans for that maybe next winter.

Another beauty bro. I installed them in mine last october. I jus recently snapped a bracket on compressor....jd and sara sending replacement all the way to me here in Australia. Tbh, very reliable other than that. May i suggest a hogfoot centre stand. It will close gap between tarmac and frame but it will sit centre

Bike is beautiful man. I have a ‘12 deluxe, same paint, at what you called the intermediate cholo stage, and im afraid Your channel as the videos progess are gonna cost me ALOT more money lol. There needs to be some sort of east coast cholo style bike club. Not many this style around the northeast(im from Mass).
