I'm in the middle of deleting my truck right now and could not believe the soot on everything. My MAP sensor looked like a solid piece of coal. I'm trying to figure out if I can clean it properly with senor cleaner. I took my shop-vac and tooth brush to clean off my grid heater. I had no idea it was this bad.
I believe that sensor is a manifold absolute pressure sensor. Always use CRC mass air flow sensor cleaner.
That is a map sensor. Covered in soot because the wonderful EPA mandated egr on diesels

Mine covered as well , but 621,000k miles and deleted at 39,000 miles
I believe the lightning bolt light is the throttle control system.
What scanner are you using?
Did you figure this out? My truck has a p1106 and my boost will cut out when it randomly pops up. Did your boost cut out with that code?
