If someone is absolutely not going to budge on traditional, non-native grasses, we would recommend making a smaller area that can be absolutely SURROUNDED by low-maintenance, low-water, pollinator friendly plants. Buffalo grass is a pretty fantastic grass that is native for most of the US, but we get it, sometimes Maliks just can't be swayed. In that case, minimizing the amount of grass being used is my biggest recommendation!
