You ought to test one of those portable camp stove wind windscreens along with this. They have shiny aluminum panels that unfold into a circle. You can completely enclose the stove or flame for cooking or leave it open on one side like a parabolic reflector to concentrate the light and heat back to you

I would use one of those depending on how much smoke there is as I have COPD. I would use it on the patio in the evening. Watching a small fire or camp fire is so relaxing and is mesmerizing just staring at the glowing embers. Where are they available and how much do they cost?

Considering that in some areas there are cold dank seasons where it rains most days, dry wood may be hard to find and everyone starts to feel cold and clammy. This could save such camp out opportunities from becoming miserable disasters.

I bet that would be easy to make using one of those round cookie tins like you always see during Christmas and going to a hobby store buy blocks of candle making wax unscented then cut up your own chunks and chips of good smelling wood. Melt the wax pour it in the can then drop in your wood chunks and chips and let harden! BOOM!! ALL DONE!!
