Humming Breathwork is a calming breathing practice that soothes the nervous system and helps to connect us with our truest inner nature. Bhramari is the Sanskrit word for “bee,” and this pranayama is so named because of the humming sound produced at the back of the throat during the practice-like the gentle humming of a bee.

I get covid end i did humming in hospital every day and at six day my PCR result negativ ...thx God and this channel.... i haved speed recovery from covid.....i hope you all ok and GB u all
The PCR-test cannot measure or diagnose infectious diseases. Massive MASSIVE amount of false positive. It is the greatest abuse and scam in modern history. Hope you are well
I'm so happy for you ❤
wasn't covid. the tests cannot test for something that haven't been proven to exist in isolation.
Neither can PCR-tests test for infectious disease.
Wim Hof and this channel save my life I got covid in the summer of 2020 but it never got into my lungs because I've been doing these exercises for a year and a half! Oh I admit I felt like hell but being a 64-year-old diabetic who smoked for 45 years I did out pretty good!

Since covid came on the seen I've been preparing my body to deal with the eventuality of catching it, nightly humming and nasal breaths with 90 second holds. I've gone from 30 second breath holds to 2 minutes. Currently have the delta variant and having no breathing problems, I account this to my daily lung workouts and the vaccine, definitely the vaccine!
I've been doing this every day for quite a while. Now I've got covid and hoping it will help me to recover quicker. I definitely feel better while I'm humming!
Definitely cleared up my sinuses so beneficial.
Atleast you acknowledged that it is Bramhari Pranayam. Not like wim hoff who copied Yogic breathing from India and named it Wim hoff breathing. All Pranayam/ breathwork originated from India. Thankyou for wonderful video.
Thank you, my wife thought I'd gone crazy humming while washing up, but I can breathe better so wow, thank you
You’re welcome 😊
@@TAKEADEEPBREATH how does this work for sinuses?
Thank you so much. This breathwork in particular helps clear my sinuses, dizziness, and anxiety!
Your channel is a blessing. Thanks a lot!
I love that humming together with you! My humming is a bit longer, perhaps because I push my belly out. I learned that exercise from my musicteacher. It helps to hold the note. Later I learned that we naturally hum to ground or to connect to ourselves or to the source. My tomcat loves that humming 😉. Btw humming helps to heal too.
Wonderful! Thanks @blue
Thanks for the tip about the belly.
I come half way his humming. Makes me worried!
Wow i heard you speak about this in the interview and tried it and bam you put up a video! Thank you so much!

We can cure anxiety and depression also by doing humming
I practice your alternate nostril exercise. Now I’m trying this one. Thank you kind soul for making our lives better! 🤎🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🤎
Hi Mike, is there any way you could upload a bhramari recording like this to Spotify? I’d really appreciate it. 🙏🏽 xx
Thanks again for your great videos. How is it going with the new podcast?
All good thanks Lex, just trying to get episode one onto the Itunes store as we speak, and got some more guests lined up. hope you are well, thanks for taking the time to leave a nice comment.
It's more effective and powerful without taking a deep inhale...
Yeah, I was going to say, I understand why he's put a sound effect in for the inhale, but from what I understand (from James Nestor's book Breath and other sources) it's better if the inhale is silent.
Are you humming from your nose or from your mouth. Love your teachings.Greeting from Denmark
How long do you need to train before get the same pace as in video ?
I can't breathe so slow, I am suffocating.
Just follow your own pace. The purpose is to slow down, not to reach a certain goal.
My generally cold feet get hot doing your breathing exercises.
That's a sign of achieving cardiopulmonary coherence.
Is necessary to hold after breathing in? Thanks, you do a wonderful work!
Never do it while standing and hold breath..
I fell on my elbows
@@human1505 Pranayama is always supposed to be done while being seated. 😅 It will shift your brain waves very fast that's why it's supposed to be done prior to meditation.
My voice is croupy and I can’t hardly talk, I started yoga back in August and started to learn how to a series of pranayamas.
Why do I feel more excited than calm during and after the exercise?
Chest or clavicular breathing.
sir big love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳
Do this Breathing controls stress and Anxiety?
Off course, Watch swami ramdev every morning from india. You seem to have missed it …
I hope you don't mind me asking, am I breathing out as I hum or holding, then breathe out, breathe in etc? Thank you so much for all that you do, its fantastic!😁 🌻🦋❤️
The humming is the out breath.
@andreassterkens2303 Thank you, 😁😘I guessed it was, I wanted to make sure, lol!! I'm already getting better at it, it's amazing! 🌻
I inhale though my nose ,hold my breath an hum as long as I can , then release slowly though my mouth, Am I doing this correctly?? , thank you
Reporters should always present the data from where they getting the questions. How many Australians ? What percentage of the total population?
Are inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth or exhaling through the nose?
As I practiced this and listened to the audio, it struck me how closely it resembles the sound of snoring, and wondered if snoring might be the body’s attempt to hum and improve NO?!
Could you explain why this particular exercise helps with sinus problems more than other type of breathing patterns. Thanks
I fear he can't. He seems to be quite intuitive though.
I've found singing ( vibration trough sound) also beneficial.
Vibration changes the sedimentation of fluids, making them more homogeneous. If a fluid is more homogeneous, it's easier to pour and go through crevasses. This is why you should vibrate concrete when it's pour into a mold, for example.
This principle extrapolated to you sinus cavities, means the vibration you are generating through humming, makes the mucus fluid much easier you move, therefore it gets better redistributed.
Greetings from Mexico mis amigos ✌️
@@carlosr.villanueva7714 great explanation :)
Studies have found that humming can increase nitric oxide in the nasal passageways which has been shown to help open airways and blood vessels as well.
If i do this humming exercise my mouth goes a little bit open for a sec sometimes is this a problem ?
its ok to hum out of you nose (exhale) the power is in the inhale back through the nose :-) this way you get to suck in all the nice nitric oxide. exhale humming out the mouth is still nice and relaxing.

I like this breathing exercise. I can not hold the breath as long as you - this will get better with practice?
so you have your mouth open or close?
Keep your mouth close throughout
So, is the humming done while exhaling?
yes

Wow ! Wow ! Wow ! Amazing...my sinuses for the first time for the last 10years feel almost normal..I can BREATHE .I am going to continue .Thank you 💖💖💖
I want to know inbengali
Why can’t I inhale long? I go 1 second less than go. 3 seconds maximum. Feel a sort of tenderness in my back
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnice
So weird, I can't breathe in half as much/long as the person in the video, but can hum twice as long. I finish by the time he is halfway with his second hum. Is this good or bad?
Just discovered this channel, following!
That is usually the case, especially if you are humming really slowly...as you get stronger your in-breath will be longer...try some of the other exercises like the Wim Hom on this channel.
It is what it is, it's your current state. It depends on your goals.
Just keep up the good work, set some priorities and work towards them. Good luck my man 🤙
James Nestor's (amazing) book Breath has an exercise where you exhale for as long as possible to strengthen the diaphragm. The idea is to count to ten over and over out loud as you exhale, doing it to the point where it becomes uncomfortable. This is something he did with an experienced practitioner who spent some time kneading his ribs and diaphragm to free them up beforehand, but I just did it myself and it worked well and felt great. The strong suggestion is that exhalation is actually much more important overall than inhalation (though obviously you can't have one without the other).
It's actually great.
I'm sick of seeing a Biden commercial on every video clip its disgusting.
Seems like u need to take a deep breath 😉😉
@@XoJuliannaOx1 I do! Just tired of all the political ads. So I'm Just Venting
