If you have a SJCAM 4000/5000 or a SJCAM Clone and you're looking for more battery life, I have the perfect recommendation for you. The original battery is 900mAh getting you around 1 hour 20 minutes of recording time at the highest setting 1080p 30fps. An aftermarket company called XCSource carries 1100mAh batteries that fits all SJCam and SJCam clones and promises to give you longer battery life. SJCam authorized dealers do not recommend getting these batteries and claimed they are fake gimmicks. This test, however, shows otherwise. I am able to get nearly 2 hours of recording time with the new batteries. The kit comes with a charger as well and two batteries for only $15 dollar. A very good investment as my camera never came with a separate charger anyways. Unfortunately, there are also other types of action cameras out there and SJCam look-alikes. Their batteries are a slightly different dimension and this video will not be applicable to you (as the battery will not fit properly). The dimensions of the battery are listed in the video. If you have the same dimension, go ahead and order yourself an XCSource. I am extremely pleased with the results. I will first test the new batteries by taking their weight. After which I will use the same camera with the same setting to test the length of recording time for 2x 900mAh batteries and 2x1100mAh batteries. Results will be provided at the end. XCSource seems to have GoPro batteries too. Unfortunately I don't have a GoPro myself so I can not comment on their performance. However, if you're looking for more recording life this is the battery to get!

Bro does the stock 900mah really last 1 hours 30 minutes at 1080p 30 fps on full charge? I get only 1 hour at 1080p 30 fps, how do you manage to get 1 hour 30 minutes?
Whether the lens have to focus and adjust to different lighting may affect power consumption.
I tested on cycling 1080p 30 fps only last about 1 hour, now looking for better battery, by the way, anyone here knows the common website to get this XCSOURCE 1100mAh battery ?
@@FIFTYmil The lens doesnt do anything. Its just a static lens. No focus, no exposition control.
Xcsource batteries are just a scam . I've had it 2 of them both had bump after 3rd charges. Its just a waste of money .
Hi :) can u do one measurement for me. Which width is between + and - contact on your battery. I have aee cam with original aee battery and i want to buy some charger for it. and i am interested if aae battery can fit to sjcam charger. Width at aee battery is 4mm . if I am doing measurement from - side to plus side its 5mm. if it is in middle of contact its 4mm. Thanks for your answer :)
+ and - terminal are about 7mm apart, with a extra terminal in between. Dimensions of the battery is 30x33x11mm. Hope that helps!
Would it every be possible to connect two batteries to double the time?
900???? You say gets an hour and a half, I have two action cameras with the 1050mAh and I get 30 minutes before they die and they are the same cameras You have there and also 3.7 Lithium Ions
Could be likely bad lithium cells in your battery.

Just leave it there, it’s function is to make it easy for you to pull the battery out.
Not dumb at all! The tab is for you to pull the battery out of the camera easier.

While some cameras share similar battery, it is unlikely those ones you listed use the same battery. Unfortunately I don't have either of those cameras to give you further information but you might try to ask that on a eken/yi/ormgo forum. As long as the shape of the battery and the voltage and terminals are correct they may fit.
ohh i see, one more question, can i use any charger to charge the action cam? because i can see the charger of the actin cam and the samsung samartphone are similar. are there any harm of side effect such as overcharge issue?
Normally the charging is governed by the camera and not the cable used. I use my cables interchangeably to charge my devices, provided that the output is correct

cresshead I bought the motorcycle case that allows you to run a USB cable out the side securely. I run it to a battery bank in my check pocket and get unlimited battery especially for snowmobiling. I found the batteries in winter will barely last 5 mins
