I am inspired! I have been wingsuiting from cliffs for 13 years and flying RC gliders for most of my life. It's time to fly real gliders. I am signing up for the course at Cu Nim in Black Diamond Alberta, Canada this summer. 🤘👍
What a dream. These things are amazing in Flight Simulator, but they're even more majestic here... you really get the sense of speed better in an actual video. I'm a paramotor pilot, so I don't think I'll ever be flying this fast, but man, I'd love to share a sky that clear.
very nice commentary, it's nice to be able to share this video with people around me and know their questions will be answered :) You were the first glider-youtuber I watched and inspired me to start big time! I love that after all these years and hours in the air you still don't take these moments for granted. It's truly magical, like a dream.
Bruno, I was flying in Ontario last week. The red fall trees were simply amazing to see from a glider.... but I'd trade my 'more spectacular' scenery for your ridge lift any day....
I'm trying to patient, Really, I am. I've refrained from commenting or saying anything at all, but my ADHD Brain has had enough of waiting! God Damn it man where are all these video's you spoke about sharing??? Just last weekend I got my Butt into a Glider for the first time in 22 years & My Gosh I miss it! (Was a DG1000) I know life gets in the way as it has for me but damn it Bruno! I miss your video's (Yes I re watch many) Not the same thing!
Haha you are flattering. I’m sorry but at least know that there will be good stuff coming. Sorry it is just taking so long for me to get around to editing. I fly for fun and just happen to video while I do it. I don’t fly to video. The hard part is spending the many hours battling editing to then share it. Cheers and thanks for the kind words!!! Congrats on getting up in the 1000! Fun glider.
Im trying to remember the movie in the eighties that used this exact beeping sound fx. I keep thinking War Games, but I don’t remember, but that’s the exact sound fx.
This is one of the most incredible videos I've seen in a while. I first saw your stunt show, and what a show it was.. I could sip coffee to this. I'm looking up the glider and I still don't understand how this is able to fly so efficiently. Physics are *insane!* It takes some bravado to get in that seat all by yourself and confidently gliiiide around in the air.. Incredible. Subbed.
Amazing - thank you for sharing your flight and for your narration - always really interesting and i’m just so impressed by the way you make gliding look effortless....
I took two Korean gentlemen up for glider flights a few weeks ago. I was told that flying in a glider is not something accessible to them in SK. Too bad. The view is breathtaking.
@@davesgliding (translated) Only a few paragliders fly because the military confrontation has lasted so long(since 1953) . also, It's hard to find a wide plain with an easy landing potential. ^^
Thank you Bruno for sharing your beautiful experience. As you said you are lucky to have the possibility of flying! Let's show us how you catch the lift needed for coming home!! I'm so curious! Ciao ciao from Italy
cool video i found your channel from the big air show video i recently got that game aerofly 2022 and it has a glider you can fly i think i learned some tips on how to fly a glider from your video and your talking thanks for uploading
Did you find thermal lift soon after the filming cut off or did you meander down the ridge further? Great looking Cumulus clouds but they seemed too far Lee of the ridge?
I found a thermal soon after that took me high enough to comfortably make it back home and you are correct, the clouds were too far to the east on the lee side to work unless I climbed high to get over to them. I could have but wanted to get home to take my wife out on a date. :)
Beautiful! Your vario sounds different. Is it just a new setting you changed, or is it a new variometer? Also, how strong does the wind need to be for that ridge to work like that? It doesn't look that steep, so I would imagine it would take quite a bit of wind to make it work.
Hey Bruno, when your in a glider with the vent closed, how much is the wind/air noise? We only hear what the mic creates and I've always wonder about how noisy it really is.
Good question. This season I finally figured out how to seal my canopy correctly so it is pretty quiet when I close my vent. That said, it gets hot quick so I pretty much always have at least a little vent open with more noise.
Hi Danny - You bet. About 10 years ago a few friends and I flew Hurricane for an extended weekend. Here is one of the videos: ua-cam.com/video/GGkUwlK0NvA/v-deo.html Take a look, I have a few other videos posted from that trip too.
Best of both worlds, gliding endlessly on the ridge lift and oozing over colours of the fall, looks like heaven to me.

What a beautiful day!
Ah, the joyous sound of a vario chirping.
You're a magician with that glider, awesome video, thank you for sharing.
Yeah, that's really pretty. Thanks for sharing your view.

Those are some strong words my friend. You will need to prove more spectacular with either pics or a video. Haha

@@BrunoVassel Ha ha thanks. Yeah I get it all takes time & effort. It is appreciated. Cheers
The impunity with which you fly makes this look so nonchalant, even though it takes expert level talent to do this!
Thanks for sharing, I watch your videos when I want to relax
Thanks for the ride along Bruno, very enjoyable as always.
Majestic experience.

Beautiful... 😊
Great to see you again up there in your happy place. Gotta see Utah someday.
It's the start of firearm hunting now, right after the archery guys.
Amazing - thank you for sharing your flight and for your narration - always really interesting and i’m just so impressed by the way you make gliding look effortless....
Very pretty! That's what I'm missing in Boulder - being on the lee side of the Rockies we rarely get to fly down low close to the ridges. Beautiful!
So great to have new videos from you. Thanks, the colors are amazing.
Thanks Bruno
I’m impressed how quiet the 27 is.
WOW Bruno!
Spectacular view. Used to fly gliders many years ago and this just make me jallous. Wish you many happy landings 🤙😎
So good!

Was that you over Alta yesterday around 4pm? I was riding a bike up there and I just stopped and stared for a few minutes dreaming of flying.
I love flying my glider in MSFS 2020
I wish there was a part 3
You said 'privileged' Well I'm very happy you take the time to share your privilege - thank you really enjoy your videos.
Everytime I watch his video's I consider moving to Utah. But then again, we have the Alps here in Europe
It would be cool if you posted your flight tracks if possible. Then we could follow you at home in our simulators!

Bruno, You seem to be more interested in Slope Soaring. Do you attempt Wave soaring, also?
With the camera angle I keep expecting to hear Bob Hope’s voice.
Beautiful!

Great catch! My V7 vario suddenly quit making sounds so this is my Butterfly vario you now hear. I prefer the V7.

Have you tried Gliding in Hurricane, UT?
3 airports 1 Commercial - 1 Private - 1 General

wish I could see the flight until the landing.
Looked like marginal conditions to me, but not for Bruno. always enjoy the flights from the pseudo back seat.
What plane is that
How do you stream while flying? Are you close enough to 5G towers or do you have a satellite data connection?
Great footage and comments, our Bob Ross of Gliding😉
Regular 3/4/5G data network, works when low enough (those antennas emit/receive mostly horizontally).
