This has got to be my favorite TED talk yet. Let's get a TED LAUGHs as a special segment. I love everything about this concept it is very refreshing!!! Truth is POWER and laughing extends your life expectancy.
@@kaimcguire5086 It is this methodology that helped me get through grammar school and push forward to be the awesome person that I am today. Great minds think alike :) ♡
Great speech! I enjoyed every minute of it, and it’s so refreshing to hear something other than the push harder, work more, deplete yourself and ignore the things in life that make you happy and make life fun. I think America does have it all wrong, we work our lives away, never getting rich, and losing all that truly matters in this life. Nobody ever says on their death bed that they wished they would have worked harder, spent more time at the office, etc. If you live, laugh, and love, you win!
I have a similar list of priorities in life. Attitude, relationships, health, money. In descending order. This guy has attitude for sure, positive of course. He's also very funny.
Excessive motivation secretes 'to do' hormone more than it needs and takes you away from the normal happy things of life but its important to focus on what you have . This guy taught that don't be too serious ,you cannot have all. Thumbs up and chill
This is awesome! How I interpret this Ted Talk, is that "Ok man, I'm about to tell you the difference between the expectation of the American Dream vs the reality of the American Dream." How cool is that? Seriously! Take a moment to think about this whole "Expectation vs Reality" of the American Dream, and It'll make you think in a new perspective.
Gave a listen and an 'auld upturned thumb haha.. That's not that bad mate, especially if it's really only your second attempt at putting down a track. Should definitely stick at it. Nice one.
@@montrayjones1947 Haha. I need to learn to comment later in the video. It's funny, because my six year old, just today, said his friend, Bobby is richer than us because they have 3 ceiling fans and we only have one.
@@montrayjones1947 he's probably younger than Faith. I think she's about 47 and he's probably closer to 42. I'm just estimating. This was such a good talk. I want to reevaluate my life and buy his books!

5:35 I love his revelation that he and William Shakespeare were the greatest writers in human history thanks to their iambic pentameter.

That accurately describes Kentucky. The only way out is DEATH. It's a giant women's prison. If you try to.leave, you get threatened.
