- Not being highly competetive I left the assualt of the incline to others and just had a full day and evening recording movements around Birmingham.
(Plus a side trip to the WCML to capture 44871 on 'The Cheshireman').
Thankfully the day went well for both loco's so all credit to Vintage Trains and Network Rail for making it happen.
Also, as he couldn't get to see these pair performing live, I'd like to wish Alan Macdonald a very happy 70th birthday for last Wednesday and hope he enjoyed his celebrations today.
Some stunning footage there Brian, loved those night shots of the duchess at the end....what a great day for you....Best wishes....Bob
Thankyou Bob, it was a good finish to a very busy day and I know that like me you enjoy these night shots.
Best Wishes, Brian.
Brian, A busy day and whilst you didn't join the masses at the Lickey Bank you provided excellent coverage of everything else. I hadn't realised you were lurking on the bridge at the Hawthorns and you're a brave man videoing in the dark at Small Heath. Regards, John
Certainly was John and thanks for your kind comment. Seems we were all running about in circles and yet missing each other. Never had a problem at SH apart from the noise of 'boy racers' and fireworks. The lighting is good as it's on motion sensors!! Regards, Brian.
Great footage Brian. The after dark shots were very atmospheric! Cheers, Rob
Thanks Rob, you know me mate, always happy to go out at night when the 'AK 47' operators have gone home.... Lol. Cheers, Brian.
Great video Brian. Cheers, Jake.
Cheers Jake.
Nice footage. I was at small Heath for clun castle
Thanks Kev, I see you had a busy day too.
Amazing video Brian and I love some of the shots especially the opening ones from the Hawthornes!! It was nice to meet up as well!
Kind regards Tom
Much appreciated Tom, not a bad day really. Yes, was nice to meet you mate and no doubt we will cross paths again sometime. Take care,
Brian.
