Yes!!! Male and female rabbits are so different! I got two males and one female and she’s so moody 😅
@@Abigail.G. rabbits are very social animals!! They normally live in groups, so it’s better for them to have a friend. However they both need to be neutered and/or sprayed and you need to slowly bond them. They could fight each other to death if they’re not neutered/sprayed, and same goes if you put them together without slowly bonding them. I got three rabbits and my oldest one Bugs has been by himself his whole life, so it’ll take probably months to bond him with my other ones. Please please do research and watch videos on this if you haven’t already
@@Abigail.G. You don't need a separate video on this,. There is already tons of information on the European rabbits, which is where all pet rabbits originated at one point of time or another that they are Social animals and should have a companion rabbit.
Ooh, my honey-bun died this May and I haven't been able to bring myself to watch these videos ever since, but I'm glad I clicked this, I almost forgot how sweet and lovely this channel was for rabbit owners!!

My bunny loves the sound of his hay being opened up 🥰
We have over 5 bunnies over here(divided in 3 different groups) and one of them is deaf(our veterinarian confirmed that). He was rescued from the streets of Sao Paulo city, so we are not sure if he was born like that or lost his hearing skills during the time he was living alone. He misses a lot of all those sounds you mentioned which is pretty sad, however his loving girlfriend Pink, always goes and nudge him(if he is sleeping somewhere) to let him know that there are food or vegetable coming

My last little rabbit, a lovely little Netherland Dwarf called Spike, would come running every time I got out the uke and started strumming and singing. He'd sit quietly in front of me listening. My best audience. My current bun a real character called Harvey, couldn't care less lol
My rabbit loved the sound of Heavy Rock or Heavy Metal!!! Every time I played a video with that kind of music, she came jumping in front of the telly and laid down to listen

Yesterday I got a text from a friend saying they have had 2 pet bunnies living in their yard for a few weeks. They asked the neighbor if they belonged to him and he said they were his but he didn’t want them so he let them go. The neighbor also said if he kept seeing the rabbits around he was going to shoot them.
I got both bunnies home and settled last night but noticed that one was probably pregnant.
She gave birth to 9 babies today.
Long story short I have 1 mom, 9 babies, and one dad(in a separate pen) at my house and all the shelters are full.
I also have 2 rabbits of my own.
I’m going to have my hands full for a bit lol.
Totally worth it❤🐇
Omg 😳 we also have 2 bunnies from a neighbors yard, another neighbor let them go and said if they come back he will eat them. No one will take the two I rescued, no shelter, nothing from facebook, I’m terrified they will have babies like yours. 😬 I swear this is proof we live in hell. Who lets these poor bunnies out to suffer and die?

@@emmajane8663 If you have an animal welfare group or shelter near you, please call them to take the rabbits. They are in a better position to care for them and find them homes.

Oh wow, that's crazy! I used to go to a barn (that got tore down-) and a flemish giant had 8 babies. We took 2 of them when they got weaned, they're both gone now sadly. Before the barn closed we took 2 more, we still have 1 and the other passed away a little over 2 years ago along with one of the first 2. We also took another bunny then that was bonded with the other 2. So we've had half of all the babies, they were flemish giant/lionhead mix but some of them didn't have the lionhead fur, the 1 we have now does, and they were basically just a little bigger than a lionhead but not as big as a flemish giant. A couple months ago my aunt found an albino lionhead in her yard and she didn't know how to take care of one so now we have her, so we have 3 bunnies now.
My bunny’s favorite sound is the front door opening when I get home from work. She knows I’ll be filling her bowl with yummies before I even put my keys away 👍🏽🐰🐰👀♥️
My rabbits absolutely love playing with the jingle bell ornaments from our Christmas tree. Also, Im not sure what it is but there is something about when I change the litter, one of my bunnies loves being right in the middle of it. I wonder now if its the sound of fresh hay or bedding coming out of the bag!
I had a Rex dwarf rabbit that would also hang around when the litter was changed. I chalked it up to curiosity.
My two puff balls do that too. I think they know fresh hay is coming. They LOVE when I clean their litter.

My rabbit's fav sound is his name "Cottontail", clicking my tongue, and he gets excited when I open the frig. I never feed him anything while standing there, but he knows I'm preparing his breakfast. My previous bunny used to get so excited when the blender turned on. He knew he would be getting a bit of my smoothie haha.
We lost our Bunny Boy almost 2 years ago, and he used to looove listening to me practice piano. We also had a few songs that he loved (Bunny Boy, to the tune of Danny Boy for example) and he'd go absolutely wild when we sang them at him. Miss his face.

She loves her treat box and the fridge opening at salad time. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of music I love and she seems to like it too, even though it’s not classical. She’ll even start falling asleep to it.
My guinea pig loved hip hop music. I put my headphones on him as a joke and when I tried to take them away he followed. And then he would run up when he heard it!
My son's old bunny (the one who died over a year ago now) loved to listen to my son play his computer games and would sit under hit feet or put himself where he could see the screen at other times. The new bunnies (we adopted them only after a mourning period when he felt ready) so far seem to love the sound of the veggie bags. As time goes by I expect to see them under my son's chair when he plays his game listening to the game music and keyboard taps.

Hi! Last September, I realized with winter coming, and having spent my whole summer playing ukulele for the squirrels and chipmunks and finding the bunnies who hang out in my yard seem to enjoy it, too, I did what any sane person would do. I called the local bunny rescue and asked if I could come sing for the bunnies. After auditioning, I’m now holding a position as Bunny Bard at the bunny rescue a few miles down the road. The bunnies very much enjoy having me hang out with them and practice my ukulele. I also pivot and help out when they need an extra hand here and there. And it’s come in handy every now and then just to have an extra set of eyes on things. But the thing is… I know some stuff about animals in general, but very little about bunnies😂 I’ve been using your videos to learn about my new friends and learn to better connect with them. I’m having so much fun and enjoying learning about my furry new friends. Your content is fantastic, and I really appreciate all the information you put out here.
My rabbits get excited everytime I open the draw that their treats are in.
They love being talked to, they always pur chatter their teeth while I'm petting and talking to them.

I sing to my bunnies and they always perk up their ears when I’m just singing to random music. But also the cookie jar xD It’s a carrot that says bunny treats on it that we keep oxbow cookie treats in it. Myboy learned to pull the lid off himself. He gets very excited when he hears the tink of ceramic on ceramic.

Interesting how you use tongue clicks to train Lennon. Was the click itself sufficient or was there some following action if she kept chewing the baseboards?
Funny also how different bunnies respond to sounds at different rates. My old bunny learned several voice commands at an early age, but my youngest bunny only just learned his name after years.
Naila LOVES the sound of bags she will do ANYTHING to hear that sound. Mainly because of the pellets.

My big boy looks at me all alert like every time he hears someone coming up the stairs. He must be thinking you want me to get em or you? Also, This sadly makes me think of how I use to sing to my other bunny. Tell me what does it feel like in heaven? I just thought it sounded soothing & I did sing her to sleep w/ it. But I didn't know she'd leave so soon. Now everytime I hear that song, I'm gonna think of her

I was on the phone one time, and my rabbit came bouncing in the room. They don't understand technology, and he thought I was talking to him! Clever bunny.
My bunnies like the sound of my voice saying “Let’s go to the play room”. They jump up and twist and turn so quickly. They make me laugh .
I’ve just got a little girl rabbit, she lives in a hutch inside. She does have a playpen the only problem is that she can easily jump over it and escape out of it so that’s why we keep her in her hutch, do you have any suggestions of what I should do?
How high are the sides of your pen? My playpen 30 inches high, and my tiny 5 year old bunny can still jump it from the floor😅
We had that issue with ours. I now let him run around the house for 10-15 min in the morning. He seems to get his energy out and then is more content to be in his enclosure for the rest of the day.

Lol, most of these, especially anything related to food makes my Buddy very excited. If I say the word “treat”, he’ll stop whatever he’s doing, and look me right in the eye, like “Hooman better not be teasing Buddy again.” 😂💖
I have now had my rabbits for two weeks. The are around 4 months and they love there special whistle that I made for them :) we are just about to very slowly introduce them to veg
My bunnies love the CD for Rocky horror picture show😂 it was one of the only CDs I had on their first bonfire night and I played it on repeat for hours while the fireworks were going off, and everytime theres loud noises outside, the CD comes back out, the time warp is one of my faves and I think they can tell because they hop and jump around❤
Snuggles' reacts to the sound of the cutlery when you pull the draw out because he's hopeful for a slice of banana haha likewise the cupboard where we keep the bananas! He also responds to kiss sounds and can make the kiss sound back - he comes running to smooch and receive smooches. When he is anxious or upset he calms down when we play the gospels of mark Matthew Luke and John of a particular narrator that has a nice tone that really expresses Jesus's compassion - so when Snuggles is upset we sometimes ask him do you want us to put Jesus on. I figure well maybe Snuggles knows more than we think, perhaps animals know their Creator and are soothed by His words? Also I have read other people play them at night and it puts a calm in their house and helps children settle and sleep. I know they calm me as well and I often nod off listening!
That's really special that your bunny responds this way the gospels being read! Thank you for sharing this! We found it especially interesting as we've noticed our rabbit doing the same thing when we listen to the scriptures being narrated. We've thought about the same things you have on this. We do feel that animals know their creator and maybe they do sense something when they hear His words bring spoken. Thanks again for sharing this!

@@tanawest154 it's probably nothing to do with the gospel being read, but the person reading it, the same person could probably read anything and the rabbit would respond the same way.
Hi there, could you please share which specific narrator reading the Gospels you listen to? I used to play classic music to my late bun and she liked it alot. My new bunnies i play hymns and other praise and worship music and they like that too. Every creation doea glorify Our Creator as the Bible says so! I'm hoping the narrators voice can also help me to feel less anxious at times. GOD bless you 🌻

The narrator is Stephen Johnson and you can listen to it for free on UA-cam I'll try to paste the links. I also listen to scripture songs performed by Esther Mui and they are so peaceful and beautiful - they are available to listen to for free on UA-cam as well. They were different to me at first but now they are my absolute favourites for us to listen to and good for bunny ears too ☺️ I often wake up and have them playing in my heart and mind-sometimes through the night. Once the Holy Spirit gave me a combination of two scripture songs she does - it was like the bride singing to the bridegroom , Jesus singing some verses from the gospel of John and His bride singing in turn back to Him from the Psalms like Psalm 119:140-142! Sadly I havE no musical talent to share what the Lord gave me that morning ( besides best I spare the poor bunny from hearing my out of tune singing haha) oh thank you so very much for your reply to my comment it has made my day and I'm now overflowing with joy!

This is so interesting! A few of these I've already done to get their attention and didn't really realize a lot of bunnies like it. Mine seem to like bag crinkling, pellets pouring and when I click my tongue. It's so cute when they're curious and into something like that.

Shaking the treat bag is a definite attention getter. As for music, my bunnies disliked anything with a bass beat; it would make them thump as if there was danger lurking about.
What a great way to end my night, thank you Lorelei! Thanks to your ideas I bought a glass container for my little guy's treats. He's really smart! If I move near the treat jar and I pick it up the mere sound of the glass moving on the wooden table is enough for him to pop out and demand treats haha. ^_^

When I making a popping noise. It’s mimics when they’re relaxed and they making a low popping sound with their noise. Also I do three teeth munch sounds. They much three and I then respond with three. Communications ❤️

My bun loves when I sing song his name. He always comes running. He knows the sound of the refrigerator opening because he knows his vegies are in there and of course the sound of pellets and treat bags. He also likes it when I do a quiet giggle when he's grooming me..I think he thinks it's an oink. I can see in his eyes he's thinking oohh I got just the right spot and licks faster lol. Glad to know he likes to make me as happy as I make him!
Just listen to this. My bunnies like all these sounds. They especially know that the refrigerator opening is important whenever they hear the crisper drawer open with all the vegetables in it. They enjoy it when I eat vegetables with them. So do I. It helps me relate to them.

My bunny loves all the sounds in your list plus the sound of the front door being opened. It means Mom’s home or mom’s food order has arrived and maybe there will be a treat for her too. (I don’t feed her human fast food but sometimes will give her some greens to enjoy while I eat)

I got my rabbit about a month ago and they love hearing the plastic bag of their treats shaking or being opened!
With my trio definitely the crinkly bag and sound of the treat jar. And I think they recognize the sound when I open the door to the back deck. I have a covered screened in porch and when the temperature is appropriate I’ll leave that door open for them to enjoy some fresh air. Once I open the door they are all there pretty immediately.

My 2 bunnies love the sound of the refrigerator door and also get very excited when I even say "salad time"! They are such little fiends about it, they even get excited when they hear me crunching on veggies! They both love soft music, but my girl, Fiona, is a huge fan of Enya, especially- and when she is relaxed and stretched out, her crazy little brother, Finnigan, will actually mellow out and lay next to her. 🥰
