@@ags8507if the tower shot comes out it will still follow her though. she still has to time it properly to completely dodge the tower shot. also abilities that break tower aggro aren’t unheard of. camille ult, fizz e, elise e, maokai w, etc. plus viego is a very unique case and is coded differently than most untargetability effects. he would be insanely broken if he could dive and get a free tower dodge on every reset. it would be pretty much impossible to not get a double kill every time you went bot. so he’s not really comparable to aurora
One frustrating thing I've seen same Aurora players do is that they go laundry's/blackfire first item, then because of how her Q works, they draw out the recast until the last possible second to get the most burn damage out.
yeah that's what you do when you get any form of burn cuz it increases damage by quite a bit (even with fated ashes it's like extra 25-30 damage per q)
you should keep q as long as possible anyways cus its stronger depending on missing health (unless you arent dealing damage anymore cause enemy ran away)

From what ive got from spamming her for a full day: ROA doesn’t really feel the best in terms of damage, I’ve been going blackfire torch first and this gives you more damage while helping waveclear. Cosmic drive seems to be a core item on her and I’ve tried building it second but again, you lose out on a good amount of damage by not taking liandrys second. Cosmic drive 3rd is a must and I think lich bane is another strong item on her. Electrocute is definitely the go to keystone but in match ups where you need to kite more, phase rush is better than fleet in my opinion. Electrocute scales the best imo and helps you burst people after lane phase
A lot of the time its more about staying alive longer than it is about doing damage. since you cant do damage if you die. and RoA has a great return on investment in survivability considering she does good enough damage early to survive without needing to build damage. and you get full wave clear by level 7 if you didnt botch your early game. I do think blackfire torch is better if the whole enemy team is squishy and you really need to outburst. Or you're going to be splitting against immobile bruisers. But if you are going to be skirmishing it might not be worth unless you're willing to try and perfectly outplay everyone.
yeah ROA feels miserable tbh. i understand the intention of building it for survivability and doing a hit and run type playstyle, but i feel like the rest of her kit isn’t strong enough to justify taking multiple rotations to kill someone, especially in the lategame.
So far the best build I've done is ring start, first recall tear them first item cosmic 2nd archangel and you do plenty of damage. She is a terrible burst mage tbh

A good trick is that if you tp to the other side with ult, and kill the enemy, then you can W into the wall easier than moving since W resets on takedown, making it easier to escape. Good for dives.
Hey Dobby, there are currently only 3 grandmaster cho gath players in the world, one of them is close to hitting challenger, it would be interesting if you made a video on them or the one close to challenger(sakuritou). They all have different builds and playstyles, which makes an analysis even more interesting.

I play aurora mid but like a one shot mage, malignace, sonyas, lich bane and rabadons, i have 100% winrate in 11 games, so i think is decent even if i am low elo

A Fair Warning to those who want to play aurora, riot are reworking her in 14.23, changing all of her abilities for the worst, losing her gameplay identity. they are turning her into a regular boring ass burst mage with no hard cc, low damage, low mobility, Auto recast Q, No W Reset, More MS on W but Long Cooldown, Can't Trap Enemies in Ult No More, Now Ult Slow like thresh Ult but Bigger, Ult Lost its team fight potential. Q and E are 900 range now but you still have to get close to your enemy to use your passive healing which they also removed the passive MS speed as well. So Now She feels awkward to play. Aurora is 4 month in is now getting a rework. good job. Looking forward to playing her but Rip Aurora..
I just don’t like they allowed her to go invisible. She does damage, is tanky, has dashes, can go invisible, and her ULT is a game changer with the cooldown of a Lux ULT. I don’t get why they couldn’t give her a main ability and other abilities that just slightly help it like most older champs.
