Chovy is just insane. He plays extremely aggresively and forces the enemy jungler to focus on him, and then he just outfarms the enemy laner while getting camped. And if the jungler/mid communication is not the best, he outright wins 1 v 2 lanes. This guy's just different.
pro players are a different breed. it's insane to think that challenger players are a part of the top 0.1% and then these pro players are just 100 times better than them
funnily enough I think the best example of his excellent landing on Asol is Game 2 of the 2024 LCK spring grand finals. He is against faker's orianna and I remember him forcing the orianna to back and tp to lane either at level 2 based just from W+Q trading patterns
@@TheShadow7771It is a known mechanic that riot has designed that way. First patch rework Asol used to have no CD on tapping Q, and it lead to all kind of weird plays (stacking kassa E, getting quite a lot of damage from the support item that gave your ally's abilities bonus on-hit while building tank Asol, etc). Now, like the video mentioned, tapping Q has a 3s cd. It can be reset only by using W, which has a huge cd and is the only way of escape (plus additional damage) of Asol.
it is, they're removing it next patch. It's an exploit they thought was fine after they added a shorter 'cancelled ability' CD to it but now they're removing that as well and making it use the mana.
Honestly I wouldn't even have thought that opening play was possible. He does R, E, Zhonya's in less time than my ping, lol. If I tried to do that I'd get blown up before E finishes casting just from connection delay.
same goes for corki, tristana and vayne on top. riot seems to have hard time understanding that hard scaling, late game hyper carries shouldnt be lane bullies. on top of having strong early levels, because his q dmg is overloaded, aurelion has high mobility, great teamfight control and late game he walks around with bruiser level of health thanks to the items he builds, and his empowered ult hits everyone in the circle, which is also a dumb mechanic. people (rightfully) flame ksante for being the most overloaded, but after his nerfs, aurelion takes that stop hands down. failed rework just like akali and irelia, turning interesting champion into demi god with no flaws
@@Xabeutta couple of things. For one Asol isn’t a natural lane bully. He gets bullied in lane by more champs than he can theoretically bully by a large margin. Having a strong level 1 doesn’t makes someone a lane bully. Asol kit isn’t overloaded. People called Ksante kit overloaded because he could do a laundry list of different things between the stun, multiple dashes, push, damage reduction, unstoppable, a slow on Q, a shield, etc. Asol kit is very simple and straight forward without a bunch of extra things added on. Also acting like Aurelion Sol has no flaws just isn’t true. The most glaring being that to be an effective champion you have to either be a statue or moving in a straight line, Asol can be completely deleted he’s not very tanky, and his landing phase is very a abusable. Also Asol has can get a good amount of health but he has nowhere near the amount of sustain bruisers have if they even somewhat care about not getting one shot.
Fizz wasn't mentioned as a counter but he is the #1 counter to Aurelion Sol. Even the world's best Sol players wouldn't stand a chance against a first time Fizz.
Just wanted to let anyone seeing this now know that Chovy is currently going presence of mind cutdown secondary, e level 2, not trading as aggressively due to the lack of bone plating.
Champion is a scaling monster but also a level 1 powerhouse, if you try to fight him to prevent him from scaling, he gets stacks by trading back, and he doesn't need to build mana, instead rushing a 2600G utility item that also makes him tanky. Great design !
With manaflow band and tp in every game a sol can just barely recharge playing this aggresively, i would argue that its a little silly the q-tap doesnt burn much mana that could be changed to bring this entire playstyle in line but this was an issue ever since the rework since without q tap sol is so immobile it might be unplayable in the early levels and just result in inverse buffs from removing it. Also taking HP raw runes is this somehow hidden trick at the moment since everyone likes to take the scaling runes that don't affect early game when that is super important at the moment
yeah, no. go and try aurelion sol by yourself in a high elo lobby and see how hard it actually is to manage your mana without a mana item. Chovy bein' good does not equal a broken champion.
