@@xSkwintzmy bad, but from what i see the entire concept of his playstyle is what’s on the video, that being sorc boots rammus instead of the usual ninja tabii’s and to add the proxying for an ideal 12cs/m which i’m unsure if it was the common way to play rammus before.
Considering that every role plays adc champs right now, top rammus seems like a legitimate option if malphite is banned

ADC is only weak bot without levels. An equally leveled ADC is nigh unstoppable.
Especially when you don't have to rely on a support.

It's still a niche bug anyways, the amount of champs that doesn't "usually" need flash are very little and most of them aren't played that much.

AP Jax is actually pretty strong in some cases depending on team comps, AP irelia is pretty much just super troll unless you get full build
@tristancaldalt2942 and Irelking tried it out once already for a lark and said it was trash iirc, so I highly doubt anyone in KR will feel like trying it unless they are just a massive Baus fan that was inspired or something...which I guess is what happened here, but this is actually playable.
Ap jax is decent. Its like an asassin build. But AP irelia? Thats "limit testing"
Ap Irelia gets a 112% physical dmg reduction on her W at full build
If you're good at irelia, AD irelia is better imo especially at the one item bork powerspike. Ap irelia plays completely differently, so the best irelia players dislike it. It has very good nuke potential with a few items and charged up w clears waves incredibly fast if you w max, making early game proxies possible.

Back when wits end used to heal I took that mid with sorcs and thornmail to be a menace to all the ad assassins
He has on hit damage from passive too so wits end was so good on him for dps
there was a time when Wit end also stole magic resistance i imagine that on rammus being busted

Baus played a part in it but personally I think the main reason is because Rammus is strong when everyone and their mother picks ranged top or adc mid as safe picks/counterpicks

It should also be mentioned that hitting the enemy in their own wave makes their minions turn to focus you. Using W-e on the enemy in their own wave for the aftershock armor helps a ton with waveclear if you cant proxy

Rammus top has always been good it's a niche counter pick. Going into a lucian is great but if you get a gwen its OVER.
Not really you just have to hard proxy, depending on team comp you are going to still be super useful
Rammus top is not something u pick for good lane matchups, u pick it for the team, to counter the enemy team as a whole, if top matchup is unplayable u just proxy.
Gwen also not the worst matchup, Darius, Morde or cassio should all be a lot harder to deal with
I swear NA players are already ahead of the curve on countering this.
I havent been allowed to proxy in so many games and they never kill themselves like in most of these clips.
Every single video like this is unironically recorded in Plastic 4 MMR, even in silver players don't die to Rammus like that.
Who doesnt let you proxy? If its jungler then you should jungle track better. If its mid the your mid should push and use this advantage somehow. If its top then hes losing waves and you should execute before he arrives (or run and make him lose time)
@PinkeySuavo I'm primarily referring to level one. You're right though, sometimes proxying isn't the play and you just have to accept lost cs.
wanna add something, katarina R now proc thornmail and rammus w, so basically you can kill katarina when she spinning ( even if she build ap, its still proc)

Olaf is very good into Rammus, his E deals a lot of true damage and he can ignore at least one rammus taunt. Rammus can run away from him with Q but if Olaf builds MR and Steraks rammus cannot fight him directly, Olaf will lower his armor (thus his damage output) with Q, and shred through him with true damage that refreshes on auto attacking

Wdym, olaf is great against rammus. Not a huge HP stacker : Olaf's E is powerful ; Olaf's R : can ignore the taunt, and refresh his R with his Q, shred armor with Q and black cleaver. Might even be considered as a couterpick

Genuine question: I watched the whole video looking for how he "perfects" Baus' Rammus but I just saw what Baus does on every Rammus game, did I miss something?

Definitely less deaths, it seems like baus prioritizes gold, tempo, bounties, tower plates
While this guy plays more defensive with W until bramble vest, then goes for better trades, baits, gank setup
I think baus actually better at a lot of this stuff, but he just doesn’t track jungle and plays to get cs.
He did nothing really. The enemy team completely ignored him proxy farming.
He also has appeared on some videos that introduces users who play in a unique way before.
FYI, his broadcast ID means degenerate death, a name that fits well with Sion he usually plays.

gwen early is weak to proxy and if she guards it all rammus has to do is eat 1 full charge q with aftershock and after that she dies to W... she counters armor tanks but not against rammus laning
People still think in 2024 that any autoattacker can be a counter to Rammus. Gwen will die from 2 EW of Rammus, esp after she gets Nashors. Also she has NO tool to stop Rammus from disengage, and Rammus in Q can dodge all of her R shots. Except for DPS mages that are good at waveclear and not rely on autoattacks ( Ryze, Cassio) or juggernauts ( Darius, Morde etc.) no other champ is a real counter so to say. As Baus said when you play Rammus you just have to accept that you will die early, somtimes a lot. But when you get thornmail + get to proxy it is so over for enemy. Even if you not beat him 1v1 you'll always have prio over him and in 9/10 situation be more useful in teamfights
@@antosqa7343 you can go mercs with gwen, taunt doesn't do enough to one shot her at any stages and she will heal most back once Conqueror is proc + charged Q and R.
You're also giving Gwen a free laning phase which is her weakest stage, while having both weaker sidelane and arguably teamfighting. If anything the only thing that makes Gwen a bad pick into Rammus right now, it's the prevalance of range champs in most roles mainly marksman + mages jungle, otherwise into 3 or more melee comps Gwen absolutely destroys them at 3 items.

Saw this video last week, was super interested. Not 3 hours after watching it a guy tried playing it against me. Knowing what his goal was I completely made him irrelevant that game by having my jungle dive with me lvl 1 to kill hem them proceeded to proxy farm and force him SO far behind
The intro is wild because even though I'ma Yuumi OTP in Iron fucking 3 even I know to just fucking wait for the spike animation to end you can't be serious with these clips; Asian players really just do not give a sheit about, just about any non human champion.. its wild how often they know little to nothing about non-human champs.

If Rammus can't proxy, Darius is a counter as well. I know from experience (playing Darius and going so far up in lane that Rammus is a non-factor later).
I get that in many of these examples Rammus can chase with Q even if they gain some distance, but why are so many of them just randomly auto-ing Rammus when they only have 1hp instead of wasting Rammus's time while looking for possible escapes? Also, I know Trundle isn't exactly a common pick, but it should probably be listed in counters since Trundle will drop Rammus's armor into negatives with ult.

Gwen is also a hard counter, although the atk speed she gets would be useful to kill her, she is able to buffer the Taunt with her Q, negating the damage and dealing magic dmg and true damage, which hard kills rammus. She also scales super well

Baus's main problem is people know it's him. Once you know it's him it's easy to shut down.
When a random person does it and it's unexpected, it's way more effective.
Whenever i'd spot an enemy comp with 2+ autoattackers, i'd always pick Rammus in the jg, sometimes top or mid too. He is some of the most fun counterpicking u'll ever have. If you spot an enemy Yasuo, Trynd, Yi, Jinx, Twitch, etc. Pick Rammus and watch them kill themselves on you.If they try to ignore u they lose, if they dont ignore u they also lose xd

Whenever i meet rammus as kayle, i go riftmaker instead of nashor first with dorans ring. Using your brain is needed when playing into rammus. You cant just "ogabuga im stronk 1v9 auto-attacking champion" you gotta invent. Like the lucian, if he went ap lucian it's actually more value than he would get from being ad, i feel like rammus is the perfect ego checker champion, and it punishes players with bigger ego's.

i started watch bausffs and use this rammus top lane on wild rift, and sometime worth and sometimes not worth, cuz the thormnail not get much damage on wild rift, i hope that item can get buffed

I often destroy Rammus top just by playing a champion that can clear the wave without losing hp and has a better clash power I recently destroy challenger rammus proxy top with my teemo it's the same concept as to how you fight singed and sion
