Restoring destroyed headlights

- In this video I will be showing you how to restore these headlights and make them look like brand new again. You will be surprised by the result. You can easily do this at home. These are the worst one I've restored so far. So if these can come out like that, chances are yours can be just as good. That's if the problem isn't from the inside. But it doesn't hurt trying.
You can just use a headlight restoration kit if you don't want to buy everything separately
The pad I use - amzn.to/3vFac9Z
The compound I use - amzn.to/3xpa1Aa
Cerakote Headlight restoration kit - amzn.to/49qustR
Meguiar's headlight coating - amzn.to/3vFac9Z
3M kit used with a drill - amzn.to/3vFoqaU
Good drill if you need one - amzn.to/3vN6eft
Soft interface pad if you don't have a drill - amzn.to/3EpV7d6

Vrhunski rad . Bravo za majstora !
Hvala 🙂
Great results welldone, The only criticism is to many sanding step's? When you consider a 3M restoration kit (Dry sanding) as only 3 steps? Which gives equal results as yours🤔👍
Good
Just need sand to up to 800 grit wet sand, then 3 coats of clear. Cut and polish your clear, then protect your clear coat with your favourite sealer.
What Nonsense!!
@@keithroberts5611 Agree.
CAN THIS ALL BE DONE WITH CLOSE RESULTS WITHOUT BUFFERS, ETC?
ALSO, COULD YOU LIST THE PROUDUCTS USED? THANKS. GREAT VIDEO.
You can do it by hand, but the results might not be as good as using machine
Thanks, you will need glass cleaner, microfiber towels, soapy water, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, polishing compound with a drill and something to seal the headlights with.
All you need is a dril with round buffing pad and rubbing compound. I find Mother's chrome polish works the best and each headlight takes less than 5 minutes and sorat some uv protection spray or some polish wax.
This might work with slightly hazy headlight, but trust me, it wont be effective on repairing the headlight from the video.
You can spend all weekend doing that
Buffing alone willnot remove old warn out clearcoat!!??
They never last long.
Except if you apply long lasting ceramic coating or ppf
Sadly, there is no permanent solutuion..
@@btnw8 exactly there no permanent car,you just need to cav maximum precaution
@@btnw8Quite right the only thing we all should do is slow down headlight degradation by after care, IE every time the car is washed either by hand or carwash, Dry the lens and apply a protective layer, I use Turtle wax which have uv blocker added, A small amount smeared evenly over each lens, Leave for 5min's and a light over buff by hand works wonders!!
@@keithroberts5611 The reason for the many sanding steps is the 2k clearcoat. When trying to get off 2k clear you have to start with low grit sandpaper. If you try sanding it with 800, the sandpaper just slides over like its newspaper. But when you start with coarse grit, you have to refine the scratches from the sandpaper and gradually increase the grit. Otherwise you will end up with scratches in the final result or might not even get good clarity.
your going to destroy your headlights with anything below 800 smh
I would say its dangerous below 400. It really depends on the headlight, but you will need at least 400 if you want to take off 2k clear coat, trust me
@@btnw8it all depends how thick the 2k clear was applied, As a rule of thumb p320 is recommended to remove all 2k down to the surface of the polycarbonate, Then go higher, And never apply 2k 💩 in the first place!!
Pessimo lavoro durata pessima 😂😂
Please explain your negative comment??? We would all like to know???
Is good work, but you have to apply wax 3-4 times a year..andredany is an asshole
