How to restore your headlights
Check out how I restored these nasty headlights. The process can be done at home with some elbow grease. You might use a drill for the sanding, however I am doing it by hand.
I advice you to use a headlight restoration kit to get what you need for the job.

Learn to restore headlights in 2 minutes
Переглядів 2,3 тис.3 місяці тому
This 2 minute video will show you how I restored these yellow headlights and made them look like new again. It took me a bit more than an hour to do and it wasn't difficult at all. I am not saying this is the best method or the only one. There are several methods you can use to restore headlights, this is one of them. One thing is certain- there is no permanent solution for restoring headlights...

These headlights were pretty yellow. They have some haze from the inside, most likely they are not sealed properly. After sanding and polishing they came out nice. You can learn how I did them in the video. You can just use a headlight restoration kit if you don't want to buy everything separately The pad I use - amzn.to/3vFac9Z The compound I use - amzn.to/3xpa1Aa Cerakote Headlight restoratio...

In this video I will be showing you how to restore these headlights and make them look like brand new again. You will be surprised by the result. You can easily do this at home. These are the worst one I've restored so far. So if these can come out like that, chances are yours can be just as good. That's if the problem isn't from the inside. But it doesn't hurt trying. You can just use a headli...

How long is every grit step? and what if i dont have a polishing machine?
It takes 3 to 5 minutes. You can polish the headlights with microfibre cloth by hand if u don’t have a machine.
WOW, poor coffee on your new headlights and clean it off! GENIUS!😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
ua-cam.com/video/fZ8uaWq5NeU/v-deo.html
nice work!
Thanks!
In your opinion is clear coat the better option or is buffing the way to go?
I would say polish the headlight and then wrap it with paint protection film to protect it.
Do we want to put clear coat on to protect the head light ?
Yes, it’s recommended to protect them, so they last longer. Use ppf or headlight coating for best results.
"This tutorial is a game-changer! My headlights were severely oxidized, but after following these instructions, they look like they just rolled off the showroom floor. The key lesson I took away from this video is the power of DIY solutions. With a little time and effort, anyone can achieve professional-quality results at home. This video has not only saved me money but also boosted my confidence in tackling car maintenance tasks. Thank you for such a valuable resource!"
Sandpapers sales 📈
ピカール知らんのか?
nice result. I used meguir's plastic x, just polished it without sanding(im too lazy). I'm satisfied with the result but the oxidation will reappear after a few months. so how long does the wax protect your headlights?
Mine were done almost a year ago and are still looking nice
800 grit Ver , 1200grit Hor, 1500 Grit Vert, 2000 Grit Hori, 2500 Grit Ver
I find it comical the majority of comments are just nitpicking or complaining about something instead of just saying... Good job.
Thank you! A lot can be said but i feel like not everyone wants to understand why I am doing more sanding steps or why I am not using 2k clear coat.
Where can you buy all the fine grit sandpaper. 1000,1200,1500,2000,2500???
A paint supply store for automobiles
was that 7 or 8 types on sandpaper?
Amazing 🤩
I j7st us3 a rag with a drop of breakfluid. Clear headlines in 2 minutes or kess. 😂
Never tried that, will try it on scrap lense and see what happens 😂
ua-cam.com/video/vizPwN7_TiY/v-deo.htmlsi=F8f_iu1vbQD-SCoX One wipe...1 min
Most of us think the job is 4 minute due to title. Way too much prep & restore. Just go with the toothpaste for a 6-12 month job. Tape if your messy.
You cant get this result with a toothpaste
What Wax?
What compound?
some of the sanding can be skip
Yes, I agree
Smaller steps requires less sanding. 1.5x grit size steps is optimal I think.
Better to use T-cut, no problem and done in a couple of minutes
Keren..
Might have been easier to jus buy another car 😂
By using small increases of grit size, you don’t need to sand a lot. I find it’s much less work to use small increments because large increments requires a lot more sanding. The sanding should take much more than 10 minutes.
I see, I see 👵
No UV protection. Lens will cloud up in a year.
Just saw another video where the guy used mothers mag polish and was finished in 2 minutes. No brainer..............
Have used mothers too, then clear coat.
Nice...good job
Thank you! :)
3 hours and a boat-load of money to get this done!
Boat load .you just not good with money
@@renogunzddragon1900🏆🏆🏆🤑🤑🤑😆😂🤣
I'm looking for the Crackhead technique the man did on my car. Idk what he did to get my headlights so sparkling but I know I don't want to pay him $20 a light 😂 this too much😂
Then cw circular with 300 grit, then ccw circular with 600 grit, then ovally with 1200 grit, then opposte ovally with 1500 grit, then triangular with 500 grit, then . . . BS.
Man aint nobody doing all of tht. 4 minutes my ass . 4 minute vid sped up smh 🤦🏿
A Headlights Cleaner from ABRO 3 minutes .
Bs
8 hours to do and 4 minutes to admire😁
It took me hour and a half 🙂
Wow, this is very useful, bro, thanks for sharing the tips
Glad it was helpful!
What if the problem is the inner part?
Then you will have to open the headlight and clean it from inside. Seen a video where a dude cleans the inside with a microfibre towel and 2 magnets. Havent tried that yet tho
wow...
Took me 5 minutes with some oven cleaner paste (vim) then hosed it off.
I have to try that
8 hours of the work shown in 4 minutes 😂
Why the F would you say 4 min knowing that you are talking sh&t. Can't trust anything you show. If you can lie, you can steal.
Then go and buy new headlights. 😂
Too much work buy new ones easier
Easier if you pay someone to do it, but for sure not cheaper haha
The new matrix headlights will set you back well over $2000 each.
Great results welldone, The only criticism is to many sanding step's? When you consider a 3M restoration kit (Dry sanding) as only 3 steps? Which gives equal results as yours🤔👍
Everything is Planted
Toothpaste works better and faster
Might be faster, but I don’t think it’s better
Bullcrap
You were doing good until you put that wax on the lights. Wax does NOTHING to protect the plastic from more UV damage.
Just need sand to up to 800 grit wet sand, then 3 coats of clear. Cut and polish your clear, then protect your clear coat with your favourite sealer.
What Nonsense!!
@@keithroberts5611 Agree.
The time is sped up
Of course it’s sped up. That’s to save you time watching the video.
