I own several authentic pieces from LV and have seen several fake/good replicas, the lining, the hardware (espcially zippers) and the stitching are the typical dead giveaways between the real thing and a fake, the exterior material can be tough at times to distinguish, but the fake material always seems to feel less supple, more plasticky. The colour on the fake one in this video is unusually bad, an easy giveaway.
I bought my LV Michael Backpack from the LV Flagship Store in NYC. I noticed that your backpack doesnt have a "lip" covering the zipper teeth on the top zipper, like mine does. I bought mine a long time ago, I think when they first came out.... after the first price increase. When did you buy yours? Did LV make a change in the design of the bag... did they add or delete the "lip" on the bag?
Bought mine in 2016 bro, the one I've got is the updated model. LV made a few changes to the newer ones which is why you've noticed those design differences.
If it's in leather, it's called embossed or hot stamped. Not "engraved" or "carved" as it's not wood, stone or metal

That’s a really bad fake. I’ve seen some really good fakes, but the HARDWARE always gives it away. The fakes can never get the zipper pulls hardware correct, they always look cheap.
