@xander4346. I think you mean they’re not waterproof because the down puffers are made from Moncler's water-resistant lacquered nylon. So they are water resistant. I do believe they have 100% waterproof in their Moncler Grenoble collection. But even with Canada Goose you have to buy specific models to get 100% waterproof. Take the Canada Goose Langford Parka for $1,575 CAD, for example it’s just water resistant. The reason is most part is in winter jackets are not meant for the rain so they only need to be water resistant. If you want waterproof, you get a rain jacket not a parka. And the reason for this is if it’s below freezing 0°C or 32°F, then you’re not gonna be getting wet and it’s not gonna be raining. It’s gonna be dry. Or doesn’t rain when you’re in freezing temperatures where you need a parka. Look at all Arctic and Antarctica expeditions as well as all high peak mountaineering they don’t wear waterproof parkas. Now you can still get them, but it’s not really necessary. It can just be water resistant if it does snow below freezing. But if it’s -10°C down to say -40°C you’re not gonna care about waterproof you won’t need it. Because it won’t be raining and the snow will not be wet either it will be dry and everything will be frozen. And if you’re wearing it out in the rain, you shouldn’t be wearing Parker because it’s typically gonna be way too warm for a parka if it’s raining.
