    Always blissful to listen to HH Vidyabhushana ji. Parthasarathy is wonderful and so are the accompanying instrumentalists. Some of the bhajans sung by HH Vidyabhushana ji were rendered differently from Pt. Venkatesh ji. Both have their own beauty. I am so fortunate to get a taste to listen our classical music. I appreciate Bharatiya Samagana Sabha for uploading such wonderful music. _/\_

    Bhakti bhikshaneeyave... I can't think of how fortunate I am to have Tyagaraja write such beautiful kriti in Telugu, and when it comes from a pristine tone of Parthasarathy garu, its pure nectar!

    Shri Purandaradasaru is the pithamaha of Karnataka sangeetha. He is Naradamsha sambootharu. The great madhwa saint Vyasarayaru called his compositions as "Purandara upanishad". He is the first and foremost in Karnataka sangeetha.

      he is called pitamaha because of the huge repertoire he has given to music

    2. There is a fear of thieves in case of bangles and necklaces,
    But for the garland of thulasi , there is no fear of any one.
    3.There is fear of worry for business and employment,
    But for the profession of begging, there are no problems whatsoever.
    4.There is the fear of decaying in case of provisions, sugar , ghee and lentils,
    But for the nectar like name of Hari there is no worry at all.
    5.Your fortune is goddess Lakshmi and our luck is Narayana,

    Majority songs are rendered in bhajan style , it should be accompanied for like a devotional bhajan.

    Without understanding the real Bhava of this Kriti, Sriram Parthasarathi started this with “सोsहम” instead of “दासोंsहम”

      No in fact in my opinion, I think it was quite apt that he started with the great Upanishadic statement “Soham” which means “That I Am” (So Aham). This is perfect in the Advaita philosophy. We are one with the Lord, yet for now, in this Dvaita stage, we are servants of the Lord. Therefore “Soham” first and then “Thava Dasoham”

    Lord! The real status of an individual does not depend on the extent of his wealth, his wishes or his mansions, and not even in the closeness to royalty. It lies only in the intensity of devotion to you in the understanding and assimilation of the essence of the VEdas and the Upanishads. Mere lip-service to the passage in the VEdas and scriptures, display of supernatural miracles, mere pretance of doing japa or practising austerities, and sacrifices conducted for fruition of one's material desires do not at all contribute to ones intrinsic status. To be ignorant of the doctrines by Lord Sri RAma in his incarnation detracts from the status of man whatever his pretensions otherwise.

    Real carnatic music emanated from purandhar das the madhva saint who gave ragaas to real Kannada sahitya in Hindustani music style and his sahitya style of singing the best style of singing taking the ragaas along with Kannada sahitya but the tamilians stole his style of music made it Taal bhad or beat controlled and carnatic music became avroh music low pitch shit tharnananan a shit egample balmurali always singing in avrroh non sense no pitch nothing now where can we find the mid path between Hindustani where one line sahitya sufficient for a raag but very varying pitch from lowest to highest you can find that mid path in purandhar Sangeet where sahitya is Pradhan but raag and all pitches from aavroh to madhyanha to aaroh are present in Hindustani music style these Tamil mucisian singing some tharnananan copying from carnatic music originally purandhar das evolved music non sense don't believe they are controlled by tabla and accompaniments no vocal voice non sense doesn't give the heater any pleasure at all let them retire in grace
