Kinda cool, but doesn't really answer the question, why. Why organic parts load bearing, why are they there, why are they exposed. I think what separates art from the likes of Half Life 2 and something cool people make up, is that Half Life 2 stuff continues making sense if you look at it closer and have thoughts about it. It's kinda like with paintings - the paintings of the greats work better the longer you look at them, AI stuff works best if you don't look at it longer than few seconds
Agree 100%, but in this case I feel like it's supposed to be made from bodypart(s) of some powerful creature with added tech to make it a weildable weapon. The flesh is likely supposed to be way tougher than human flesh and still contains bones and muscle that would give it structure. Adding to much tech and load bearing metal could mess with the purpose of the flesh and would be unnessecary if it's tough enough on itself. I'm not sure about the metal casing on the bottom parts, they could be there to cover up the spots where it was attached to something larger before and keeping it from either regenerating or preventing the excretion of whatever 'energy' is used as the projectile, like covering unwanted vents. Just some thoughts on how this design could still make sense when looked at closer.
this gun is very warframe style.
