This triggers a happy nerve as a First Nation Ojibway( Chippewa) riding a West bound freight train from MN to Spokane, WA....dope toking all the way!
good choice in tunes, I found this video because I was looking for different perspectives on the song Falling Grace. That was a lovely performance
This kind of stuff makes me really excited about your upcoming demo!!!
A solo demo!? Glad I saw this comment
That is some insanely precise hammer on and pull offs
Kiesel are so lucky to have someone of your caliber. Do you play multiscale at all, if so what are your thoughts for lead playing?
That guitar is: 🔥
🔥🔥🔥
Hey! New fresh upload!
Was this inspired by Alex Jung's "someone"? It's more comping, which I like
Hope to play like this after jazz school!
Do you have tabs for this in your patreon?
In your playing, I can see how your melodic decisions are made with respect to an existing harmonic context: start with chords, construct melody on top of that like you describe in your recent videos.
But what I really don't understand is in the construction of chords. How do you not only chose which chords, which voicings, which order do they go in, and then on top of all that, rhythm between the changes so they're not just falling on the the quarter, or on the bar every time?
Forgot to mention, beautiful effortless playing!
thanks for your comment! This is a song by Steve Swallow. So the chords change and the melody are based on the orinial tune, but I use this information to improvise around that by adding or variing chords, voicings and melodies.
Another perspective: follow your ear and don't be afraid to just play it as you "hear" it (internally)
