    I never heard of Ninjor in Masters of the Universe and I was an 80s kid (tomboy of a lil girl that loved MOTU & GI Joe) but he might have came along after I'd moved on to Joe's. I'm just glad to see old toys given new life, a home and loved again.

    I have to admit, one thing I enjoy about Toy Polloi-- besides the nostalgia-- is the calm, straightforward way things are explained. And some of the music's not bad, either. 🙂

    Nice to see a restoration on a more unusual MotU figure. Those robes are quite something. Great job recreating them!

    This has been an astoundingly good restoration. Lots of different issues to be fixed, and great ingenuity on all of them. I wish I could give you 20 likes instead of just one because they would be more than deserved!

      Always love a cloak/ cape/ robe episode, and those nun chucks are brilliant , I need to come up with an idea for making a Blake’s 7 weapon for my Avon custom and things like this help me to keep brainstorming 👍

      Oh cool. An Avon custom sounds great! The Blake's 7 weapons were pretty unique looking from what I remember. Like a wand. Maybe Lego is a good starting point. Some of the early Lego space weapons looked quite similar.

    I had a friend from years ago who felt that having both Ninjor and Jitsu as villains but had no heroic counterpart was unfair. So he took a head from Fisto and put it on the body of Prince Adam then had his grandmother make him a white with blue version of Ninjor's outfit. Basically creating a uber muscular version of a white ninja Chuck Norris. 😁

    I pulled up an image of the vintage nunchucks and, except for the chain, it's a dead ringer. AWESOME job! My friend's 10 y-o is starting to 3d print replacement missiles and such for vintage action figures. I shared this vid so she can try her hand at making these chucks too! Thanks!!

  • @grotgrusson5124
    @grotgrusson5124 Рік тому

    If I am not misstaken, there actuall is a strip, almost like that double sided tape you used, that response to heat (a iron), and sorts of became a "glue stripe".
    Nice video as always.

    So rather than double sided tape, have you considered "Hem Adhesive"? I'm actually surprised you don't use it for a lot of things. It's a thin hot melt fabric sizing, real cheap, I'd recommend it.

    I know you've done hundreds of leg changes, but I still can't help (after watching you do it several times) but think that using a metal screw driver is a good way to tear the rubber. I feel like you should be using like a wood chopstick, or a plastic device.

    A few years back, I asked about the possibility of a how-to for reproducing Scare Glow's cape, but you said you needed a sample to work from to make a pattern. Unfortunately, I don't have a Vintage Scare Glow any more, but some patterns have shown up online, and I've sussed out through trial-and-error that the main portion of his cape is made from a fabric that can be found online as "chiffon fabric stretch material," in purple, while his collar appears to be made from the same pseudo-velvety fabric (in purple) as Prince Adam's vest. Is that any help?
