I think this is one of the most understandable videos I've seen on this subject. Great job as always!
My color grading is my weak spot when editing. Thanks for this one! 😍
You NEED to do more of these! I’ve watched so many tutorials on color grading and correction but yours was far more interesting for some reason. MORE MORE MORE!
Whoa, didn't know about that second scope for the colors. It makes everything so much easier to understand in a composition. I'd love some more color grading tutorials. Some really good stuff.
I use scopes and have always done it that way. I use old screens so they are not as accurate as you said. I saw Potato Jet's video aswell. I will invest in a good color grading monitor later. My clients have not complained about the colors so far, so that's good. I sometimes just drop the scopes if it's a quick project. Great tip with the colors. I havent used that tric with isolating the skin before. This will make it a lot easier :-)
I never knew all of these information about the video scopes.
I appreciate all the tutorials you work so hard to share with the world.
Great content, keep it up!
Thanks Jordy. Yes please more vector scopes/waves/color correction tutorials please. There's not a lot out there on this that is as clearly explained as you do. I like how you explain what to look for when using the scopes. Awesome!
Oh hey! Nice Monitor ;)
😁
pototao !jet! has really gone !up!
Hey! Look at the kid from Up :D sir Tomatojet😁
La mayo jet
This was so useful for my recent project. I was having difficulty pulling off that exact look of the blue an orange. Please do more
i really never knew about the isolating skin tones and the skin tone line at the scope. this video really helps a LOT!
so grateful for this tutorial! awesome!
Very useful! I've watch lots of color-grading tutorials and this is the first time I've seen the skin-tone tip.
This video is well colour graded when you used lumetric scopes
I love this 😍😍
I’ve always wondered what those wheels were for. Great tutorial! I’m looking forward to more
I´ve been learning how to color grade from youtube for two years now and I have to say I´ve always wondered why only a handful of youtubers use the scopes for the color and exposure.. Since I have a really bad monitor which colors can´t be relied on, I had to force myself to depend on the scopes. It´s not fun, but gets the job done and (almost) always looks good. I recommend using the clip in black and white mode when adjusting the exposure and contrast, it´s way more easier to judge the footage by eye. I would also try to separate the skintones from the rest of the footage, that way you can have better control of the overall color grade and get more accurate skintones.
Finally a good explanation on lumetri and vector scopes! Thanks a million cinecom! 🙌🏻
i really enjoy this video , thank you so much Jordy for sharing about video scopes .. this channel deserve more subs!
This is a very good tutorial hahaha! Seriously, I liked the way you talked about it, I got a new look about the scopes and how to use them correctly. Thank you so much. Greetings from Brazil!
YES! I've been meaning to learn more about color grading. Please make more!
This was my first time learning about scopes, and it is really helpful!
Thanks, Jordy! I just bought a new PC and now I will be able to start color grading. These videos will help me start!
Great Vid. Always helps to know how to use those scopes even if you have a filmconvert or something that can color grade all your shots. Very helpful information!
This is super useful. Especially that last bit. Do more!
Nice ,your tutorial always help me
Great video Jordi. Before I started using scopes I'd find that video I edited on my pc would look really saturated when viewed on my home TV. Using scopes helped fix that.
I learn so much from you guys thanks for all the great content
love this vdo! Thank you, you guys are so great!
hope you might set up a programme for more "technical" tutorials.
Great video. Please do more of this tutorial stuff like explaining color grading and such basic but not so intuitive things!
Great explanation, the skin tones part is pure gold👌👌
Please, we want more tutorials like this! :)
Defintally want to see some more of this content, your content rocks thanks
Thank you for the masking skin tip. I would definitely like to see more that kind of stuff :)
Great video! Nice, clean and loved the tip about skintones!
Best editors that makes editing simple. Keep up the good work.
Well done Zordy. Really good one.so easy to understand.
Thank you :) finally, someone explained it short and so that I get it
More of this type of video pleases
Keep it up. I inspire by you jordy.
Thanks so much for this the video i never knew i needed, is a gamechanger!
Never really fully understood colour grading and been carrying it out by eye on a laptop which at most is likely only intended for making word/text doucments resulting in very poor video that may have been recorded on a potato!
As student high spec monitors are beyond my budget so this is a perfect solution to get quality video results for minor corrections until i can afford the proper hardware from my projects!
I watch a tones of tutorials about teal and orange without damage skin tunes. U learn me under 10 min all about it. U are god of video bro! Regards from Poland!
Oh that monitor has me drooling! Maybe it’s finally time to give up my HP Dreamcolor!
Yes please more, lots more, many more, all the mores. But seriously you guys are the ONLY ones (that I have come across) that explain things without trying to sell me on some program you made (that doesn't explain things any better than they did in their original UA-cam video). So Thank You for caring more about sharing your knowledge with us and not trying to line your pockets. XD
Wow! Super helpful! Thankyou!
That tip with the mask for the skin tones is awesome 👌
Yeah. That's right, but you don't use PP anymore😜
@@CameraStudio but I can use this Trick in every other program to 😜
Great tutorial...never knew about the scopes to correct vids
Got it,, Thanks guys, again and again, you solved my (our) problems,,, and congratulations on your Asus sponsor by the way,,,
Awesome bro thanks for sharing!
Please more for color grading!!! This helps me a lot!!! Love the videos
Well, helpful 🥰 thanks Cinecom!
Its very useful. Good tips!
I'd love to see a more in-depth tutorial of the scopes and how to properly use them. Thanks!
Very interesting, I've only dabbled into photo CC but I definitely should check out how to colorgrade my shots!

Thank you, looking forward to part 2.
First...Cinecom u guys are the best editors i known yet....love ur vids guys...keep up the good work....
Great video very helpful
so dope. thank you!
Another great tutorial. It would be useful though to see a more detailed tutorial on color grading covering differences in doing that on Mac/Windows as well as differences in exporting it to different platforms next time. In other words, the fundamental rules of color grading to make the footage look equally great anywhere. Thanks!
Great lesson!
thanks bro for this tutorial it really helps
Hi Jordy! Great video. I would love to see more about correcting the white balance depending on the scene when there are various colors through out the image and the scopes are very unbalanced. And when the scene is with a creative look, how to maintain correct white balance?
Thanks for giving us this tips
Great advice I'm definitely going to incorporate these tips into my work flow!! I personally feel like the highlights on his face are slightly blown out. Maybe need a softer key light?
Amazing tips! 👌
Great explanation!
Thanks for the great video! What camera did you use for the Instagram photoshoot in the end? Was it the Sony A6500?
Dude that's one of the most useful tutorials I've ever come across by chance
Definitely more advanced color grading tutorials like this one!
Awesome! Make more videos about the scopes!!
Really Help Full . ..
Very helpful video, yeah please do a part 2!
Thanks.. I wanna learn more about color grading👀👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Yes, more details plss love your videos :)
Jordy do you use premiere to make your hair look so good? Honestly!
Love you
very important information thankew jordy
I always look at the weather to decide if i need a jacket or not... though i hate cold weather, so if it's not summer, most likely, I'm bringing a jacket... just which one... Great video, been trying to learn color grading lately, have been getting the hang of the scopes, which has improved my content(except my livestreams, they still need a lot of work)... thanks for the tips, take it easy...
this video was insanely helpful
Can you please make a skill share vid covering the whole thing? Thank you!!! Love your work, I have learned so much from you guys and have so much recreating your copycat fridays
Great video! Thanks for the help. I shoot way too much on my iPhone XS and it makes skin tones look horrendous... and obviously not a great codec to color-grade. But I also have a Blackmagic Camera that I shoot a lot of Pro Res video in and am always looking to up my color-grading game!
You guys 🤘🤘!! Thanks for this video.
Really helpful
awesome video as usual
Thank you!!
Another amazing video
Now i know how to color correct to match skin tone. Great!!
great, thanks!
Damn Jordy! Why haven't we seen this skin tone hack anywhere else? More advanced videos like this please :D
Ohhh, I'm a total scopes guy. I've become super reliant on them, and can see how my work improved. Not for everyone, like you said, but I sure love them Lol!
Thank you!
wow this is awesome I want you to talk more on the scope in retro mode please
What do you think about doing your WB on a 18% grey card instead of a white card ? Some peoples say that grey card is for exposer other that the grey card is more near from the skin tones and give you better results, but what is the reality ?
Thanks!!!
Which version you use premiere?
Which is the main difference between YUV and HSL vectorscope?
More videos on Video Scopes.......eagerly waiting for it
with what program is it calibrated?
Very amazing 👌
There are some folks that think color correction and color grading are the same thing and can be used interchangeably, but they're not. Correcting means adjusting levels for proper technical and distribution use. I use scopes whenever I have to deliver professional high-level work to production houses, that way they can't pull a fast one on me with "this is not properly corrected", then I show them my levels and scope settings and tell them if they can send me better settings/levels I will give them a discount, and that never happens, they back off. Grading means give the video a style or certain look for artistic purposes not technical ones; and for that I only use the scopes at the very end of the process when I have arrived at a final look and want to keep note of the settings I used, but just for my own reference.
From Angola, I love you guys!!!
Thank you
