It's probably the HARDEST thing you'll ever do. It's hard to step.out of yourself and be unbiased

Agreed. Id love to hear his story, how he came to be doing this, I’ve studied trauma with the greats, learned from my own experience and he is so ccherent and structured and practical

These lessons all deserve a much larger audience. So much of what he says is a dead ringer of relatability. Listening makes me feel safe.

Maybe its a good thing for all of us that things are just the way they're supposed to be. In you g to try to enjoy the moment, but you are 100% Correct. Tim Fletcher is the BEST thing on You Tube right now. He is a breath of fresh air and finally acknowledges how painful and burdensome life can be. Complex Trauma is finally out in the open and it is very REAL!

I clicked on this expecting nothing, but the lesson of about not trusting in trust but trusting in God is profound.

Incredibly competent man, first of all. Applause again from me. I think I sometimes misunderstand the target audience though, I do not have a drinking problem etc and sometimes it seems like that is who he is talking to? I come from more of the Complex Trauma side of things.

I wish there was an advisory on videos, that are going to be giving examples of people who have been abusive to others, within the same framework as non-abusive people.
It messes with my head, I don't want to be involved in their healing journey, I've been dragged into it all my life.. ie this person who has 'lied their face off'. (who is abusive with a chronically poor character..)
I find it really difficult when I'm listening to videos looking for answers for me, and suddenly the example is of a character-type that has abused me.

Dr Brene Browns definition of trust
    Boundaries
    Reliability
    Accountability
    Vault
    Integrity
    Non-judgement
    Generosity in assumptions
I started using this measuring stick to evaluate relationships
Then decide how close to allow the person
I dont think its smart to trust blindly
The other needs to be trustworthy
We need to be selective who we allow close to us

I thought this conference would help me find ways to trust again after complex trauma, but instead it teaches the abused how to earn people's trust? Assuming all abused people are now abusers in their own way and are not reliable?

The only one you can really trust is God. If I trust anyone less than that, I do it with reservation.
