If you’re going to make a brush cutter video that describes how well it works, you absolutely should lift up the unit and show the arrangement of the cutting blades. Does the unit have 1, 2, or more blades? Are they mounted as blades or flails on a disk? This is important information for a potential brush cutter buyer.
I have owned this Blue Diamond Extreme Duty for a little over a year and can confirm it is an incredible implement for trail making, clearing, and widening. You didn't mention that the rotary cutter is reversible. As you can see from the blades, they cut in both directions which extends the life of the blades. If you are careful about sharpening all four blades evenly to retain balance, the blades last a long time.
Good stuff right here man, never saw your channel before. I have the Blue diamond severe duty for many of the same reasons!! Hope to catch you some more down the road thanks.
Good video and vet is living the dream...a dog lake and I saw a deer feeder in the background. I have a Deere 333g with hi flo and have the extreme cutter in hi flo version. That thing is a beast and can cut alfalfa and lay down a nice cut. But still eat brush and trees for lunch.
I used to clear land with a D8 with a Rhone blade (I heard it was named after where it was invented, Rhome, GA) and the blade had cutting edge that let you drop it on top of the ground and cut flush. Worked great on big stuff but little stuff would sometimes bend over and it would leave a sharp stob sticking up, some short but some 10 feet long and sharp as a punji stake. We called them flags. You had to watch out for the long ones because they could lean at an angle that made them hard to see and they could come through the cage into the cab and impale you, especially when you were backing up. Still remember some close calls.
PAPA want's to fish on his lake! A good fire will take care of that! I need to connect with that guy, got to love breakfast. Garden 2021, let's get it going! That is a Chomper!
Man, that Blue Diamond does one heck of a job. Thanks for sharing this. Question: Does Blue Diamond have a cutter for the FEL on a tractor? Enjoyed a full-watch. NEW SUBSCRIBER!! 👍🏽🙂
