This film is an admirable attempt by Errol Flynn to say something of value before he died. He wrote for The Bulletin when he was a young man in Sydney and his first desire was to become a writer. In this semi-documentary he combined his journalistic skills he used after visiting Spain as a correspondent in The Spanish Civil War with his name as a film star and it is a quite interesting little film of his views and sentiments. He said his short film " The Cruise of The Zaca " gave him more pleasure than Robin Hood. " Cuban Rebel Girls " is an interesting insight into the evolution of a man who said, " They said I had lost my looks. At last I was taken seriously and they could see I had something in my head - not just a pretty face who cried ' Forward men! ' and jumped on that 'ol horse or carried a sword and wore a garter and green tights as in Robin Hood.' " Despite its low budget the film is quite good and has merit as long as you're not looking for the old typecast Errol Flynn who realized his writing quest by writing the script. I like it. Most of us have never even made an attempt, and the woman who plays the aristocrat revolutionary gunrunner is quite moving - a good scene where she escapes across the top of the buildings and later when she is executed. Has its moments.
forgot he was doing a movie... he outed himself and his cover so... heart failure time, the precursor to the red scarf. Hoover said, "Cuban Rebel what?!!!"
The reprobate that died as he lived..A man completely lacking human decency. Unable to return to his original home due to his unbelievably corrupt behavior...Anyone disagree? Oh yeah,he looked good while being a total devil... This is not a troll...This is sadly true 😔. He "authored" his life's story titled:my wicked ways...He was an astute disciple of Aliester Crowley...
Errol is actually a fantastic narrator

At the end Errol a Hollywood great was making "B" films.
Some of which are better than his A films IMO
Flynn looked so bad. He was only 49 here.
Drugs and alcohol my friend
iamblackgambit meaning don’t do both. It’s really not that hard. But now drugs are being legalized and cigarettes have evolved into vaping.
His rape scandal, which he wasnt guilty of. But it hurt his career. Really sad.
