I would rate this movie along with Star Trek IV and The Day The Earth Stood Still as being the most positive-minded when it comes to the portrayal of extraterrestrials and the message being presented by them to the people of Earth. It definitely shows that fear is the default state of Man's way of looking at matters be it toward extraterrestrials or himself and his fellow creatures, and that a new way of thinking is required in order to live life as he is meant to do so, that is to say, a decent, more enlightened and beneficent way to live with his fellow creatures here on Earth as well as those who live out in the vast depths of outer space. Only then can Man truly call himself a civilized and advanced being. And who is to say that extraterrestrials aren't among us right now making use of materials here on Earth to benefit both themselves, and trying to create a better existence for mankind as a whole!!!

This movie came out the year I was born and I didn't even know it existed, the funny thing about seeing this movie is it shows real truth because about 6 years ago I saw 3 glowing yellowish orbs fly low over my home each one came from a different direction and each one disappeared in the same spot in the sky, the sky was a clear beautiful blue day no clouds at all and it was about 2:30 pm. I still don't know what to think and I have an awful lot of unanswered questions.
@@NextWorldVR , years ago in the early 80s my mother saw one she said it was right over the back yard as if it was going to land she said it was shaped like a boomerang and had lights running along the bottom and it made no sound.
I think that sci-fi story is mainly classified as 1) discussion on precise physics and its expectation 2) discussion on sociology on an unusual condition (world of 'What if"). This movie is 2nd type sci-fi and much better than I expected!
I sure like the cars...and pick-up trucks...from those years, they had a lot of style and personality. I especially like the Station Wagons. I am 71 and these 1950's sci-fi movies were part of my childhood. This is one of the better ones. It wasn't about battles in space and disruptor beams; which are fun to watch, but how we might and probably will react to facing an extraterrestrial being. Today, we have had Congress hold hearings with military 'whistleblowers' with inside information about the frequent UAP's. It sounds promising, but I think we are still a long way from 'officially' acknowledging extraterrestrial craft in our skies. And this is why these older sci-fi movies about the "what if and when" of E.T.'s are interesting to watch and ponder.
Very good, thanks for having this available. Like others I missed it when watching all those old sci-fi movies. People were a little casual about an anti-gravity sphere from space showing up, but it certainly was sensitive and very pro-science. Also, it was fun!

Keep your cosmic borders open, humanity. There are no alien threats to be found in the fraternity of the heavens all around you. Fear is a foolish state. All lives are your kin, whether on this planet or among the stars. Now take care of your brothers and sisters struggling to find hope and refuge on your native shores,. Brothers and sisters of the earth, there is room for everyone in space. We are here to heal, as you should be alongside us. And so you will, in days not far off.
He learned almost too late that man is a feeling creature... and because of it, the greatest in the universe. He learned too late for himself that men have to find their own way, to make their own mistakes. There can't be any gift of perfection from outside ourselves. And when men seek such perfection... they find only death... fire... loss... disillusionment... the end of everything that's gone forward. Men have always sought an end to the toil and misery, but it can't be given, it has to be achieved. There is hope, but it has to come from inside, from Man himself.
True, there IS room for everyone in space. Why, right about now, I can think of a LOT of people who would find plenty of room in space. Floating around. Breathing free as it were.
I was thinking today, what would be really cool would be to have an episode from Star Trek, or the Orville, reference this movie, have the Cosmic Man return. Or have it sooner and the Cosmic Man returns to find Timmy and astronaut. There's a lot of old scifi shows that would lend to this "return theme".
Typical. Military must be going out of their minds to know they are primitive compared to advanced outworlders The reason for coverup is obvious ~ fragile ego.

I saw one of the Triangle Ships, very close... a light under each corner,... So silent. HOVERING slowly...
@@NextWorldVR , years ago in the early 80s my mother saw one she said it was right over the back yard as if it was going to land she said it was shaped like a boomerang and had lights running along the bottom and it made no sound.
"Real truth?? "... hmmm,
" "still don't know what to think" lot of unanswered questions"

LOVED THIS MOVIE
And this is why these older sci-fi movies about the "what if and when" of E.T.'s
are interesting to watch and ponder.
Very good, thanks for having this available. Like others I missed it when watching all those old sci-fi movies. People were a little casual about an anti-gravity sphere from space showing up, but it certainly was sensitive and very pro-science. Also, it was fun!
At 30 minutes the doctor is at his desk making calculations with a slide ruler. Used them in school before personal calculators.
Enjoyed this ! Thank you .
Excelente filme recomendo, sou inscrito nesse canal é muito bom mesmo e amo filmes desse gênero, melhor ainda legendados em português!

1:02:54 I seriously thought the eyes were just painted on his glasses. I was quite shocked when they blinked!
🤣🤣🤣 Yes, they look painted on the glasses!
Loved it!! TY!
There's some sort of writing on the sphere General. It says... Sunkist.
Apparently the colorist should have made it orange. That would also explain why Doris Day is in this thing.
We gave up big beautiful station wagons for humongous dangerous Stupid Ugly Vehicles(suv)!

???
@@kdvinson5638I used to have a 1956 Chevy 4 door station wagon. Best damn vehicle I ever owned, and I've owned many. Gas guzzler? Possibly, but it was a blast to drive.
Congratulations for managing to live so long in a Fascist State.
For those of you who enjoy reading the "chapter markers" in this fine classic presentation...

Because if you take the mom and the moppet out of the movie, you really don't have a story, do you?
without blue book and similar things...
It is a good old movie, BUT the transcribing of the discussions was NOT exact nor correct. It was distracting the changing of what was said.
Strano. Io sapevo dell'uovo cosmico e non dell'uomo cosmico...
The "moppet"? Are you talking about the crippled boy?
Anyway, don't you just love those ancient cars from the 1950s? ( with their ridiculous suspensions bouncing all around, like a pogo stick).
I had a 1960 Plymouth convertible, back in the day-- a full-size behemoth: with no rack-and-pinion steering! How did we ever manage to stay on the road?!
I see the MCMLVIII (1958) copyright, at the beginning of the film: sixty-five years ago, already!
(I was a little older than that buck-tooth kid.)
Talk about sappy sound tracks!
(But, we liked that kind of background music, in those days.)
And what's with that sergeant's salute (in saluting the colonel, in that one scene)?
>>> British salute
>>> "marched" like a Brit, too
Yes, I know this flick came out of (i.e., was distributed in) both the USA and England...

Another awesome movie 🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥
Thanks
Excellent movie
That had to be the most low budget space ship I’ve ever seen in my life !
Early sci-fi flick. Army wants to kill anything they can't control. Cosmic man was hilarious, looked like he just climbed out off a skip/ dumpster!. Enjoyed this . Thanks all. Dave
If they'd only known how abysmally bad movies would get in the coming decades, they would have made more, back then!
Subtitle Persian films classic very good ❤❤❤❤❤thanks ❤❤❤
@Farhad.A.M Thank you so much for your comment letting us know that the Persian subtitles are really really good. Hope you can enjoy many more of our films here in CCC. Cheers!
Riiiiiight.
The professor in 50’s movies always had a white smock and horn rim glasses and carried a clipboard?
Now anyone can have a PhD on TV & the plebes believe every stupid thing they say, from fictional characters to "science & medical experts".
And they all knew karate. (reference Musk and Zuckerberg deathmatch. Some things never change.)
Awesome movies they sure don't make those types of movies like that anymore! Good storylines and plot's!!
Great . Thanks Cult Cinema
@benancegeorge5480 Thanks for being here!! 😉
I was thinking today, what would be really cool would be to have an episode from Star Trek, or the Orville, reference this movie, have the Cosmic Man return.
Or have it sooner and the Cosmic Man returns to find Timmy and astronaut.
There's a lot of old scifi shows that would lend to this "return theme".
these old movie sure remind me how we had real cars in the past. did you see the cable on the ball?
Audience sees a large, round, yellow object, and immediately gets a collective hankering for popcorn.

I love how the army man immediately wants to use the cosmic man's technology to take over the world militarily..... 😂
He’s Air Force
True story apparently 😂. According to recent whistle blowers 😮
Typical.
Military must be going out of their minds to know they are primitive compared to advanced outworlders
The reason for coverup is obvious ~ fragile ego.
It has a distinctive republican vs peace-loving scientists dialogue.
The RUSSIANS ...must not be allowed to have this technology. LOL
Good Movie
God bless
I love them classics 🥰🦄💐🍁
Boy those 50's sounded like a great time. Life was simpler, there were close family ties, crime rate was low, no celk phone, computers and internet slavery, elderly people were usually treated with respect not stashed away in an elderly home and neighborhoods were safer.
And war terrified everyone..nand blacks had segregated lives..on and on... not better.
Pre burnt out America.
