- Penguins are flightless birds found living throughout the southern hemisphere (though one species just barely makes it into the northern hemisphere, too!). Penguins are typically black and white in color with dark backs and light stomachs which help them to blend in with the water while they swim due to counter-shading. There are approximately 189 penguin species depending on who you ask and these range from the largest penguins, the emperor penguins, to the smallest, the little blue penguins. These funny birds walk upright due to their rump-positioned rear legs but they can also get around by sliding on their bellies.
Scientific Name: Family - Spheniscidae
Range: mostly southern hemisphere oceans and coastlines
Size: 1.5 to 3.8 feet (46-115cm)
Diet: fish, krill, squids, etc.
Lifespan: 5 to 25+ years depending on the species

I learned a lot from this video. Please do a Tiger (specifically the Bengal Tiger)
Pingu the penguin is from the eponymous tv show.
There's also Pen Pen from Neon Genesis Evangelion!
There are also three extant tribes of penguins:
Spheniscini (contains Spheniscus and Eudyptula)
Eudyptini (contains Eudyptes and Megadyptes)
Aptenodytini (contains Aptenodytes and Pygoscelis)
Yeah, they're all cute! Gotta love 'em.
I think my favorite are the Crested Penguins, also., though the Brushtails are pretty cool.
Thanks for the video!
The brushtails always make me think of someone scooping them up and dipping their booties in paint - not that I would condone said behavior 😊
My favorite are the fairy penguins. So smol! So cute!
Ahh yes! They're so adorable!!
My favorite penguin group are the great penguins.
So BIG 💜
ive never seen those little blue penguins before omg they are so cute
Tiny birds are the best!
Favorite penguin? I'd have to say "Little (Blue) Penguins".
Nice video 👍
Thanks for watching! 😊
Are going to talk about the other penguin species for their own episodes?
We'll talk about the individual species eventually but we wanted to give a basic overview of all the species as a point of reference 😊
👍
