Welcome to Walt Disney's private apartment. This is Walt Disney's private apartment. Thanks for coming to Walt Disney's private apartment. I just love to be inside Walt Disney's private apartment.
Wait, are you saying this is Walt Disney's private apartment? Thank you for welcoming to Walt Disney's private apartment. I look forward to watching the video on Walt Disney's private apartment.
My old friend, RIP, Frank Dennison, built this apartment. Frank was featured in "Band of Brothers" as a Army Airborne Engineer at the battle of the bulge.
Well, let's be real here, folks. This was indeed Walt's private apartment AT THE PARK, but he was rarely there. Walt was too busy living in up in the many different mansions he owned and living the luxurious lifestyle. However, this whole "this was his private apartment and he weeped as he realized his dreams came true" is all about of the "Disney illusion" that's all bull crap anyways.
Walt Disney = A LEGEND! Walt Disney was superhuman…Dare I say it,he is my greatest hero and inspiration…I grew up watching his movies, going to his theme parks and most of all living my childhood to the absolute fullest! Disney and Disneyland wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for his imaginations and him always believing in his dreams! Bless Walt for bringing so much joy to many children and families around the world and especially to me! :-)
This tour guide is extremely good at his job. I've known I'd be excited as hell to be a guest in that apartment ever since I learned that its existence has been preserved, and when I finally get to see it I hope I have a guide that knows, acutely, how big of a deal this is and how meaningful it is to certain fans of Walt Disney.
This was walt Disney’s private apartment when they first opened the park he wanted to watch all the guests and overlook the park to see the happiness in the park.
There... is ... so... much...happening... in ... this -dude says Walt disney’s private apartment like 300+ times - Steven Spielberg may or may not be apart of the tour group -one woman starts crying And on top of all this the camera zooming in on everyone like an episode of the office 😩😂
Google photos of him inside that apartment you will notice almost everything has been replaced aside from a handful of things and even those I question. Basically yeah it was his apartment but its been heavily "Disney'd". The furniture does not match up, the curtains do not match, the lamps, and I also suspect carpet has been changed as well. Only thing that's the same is the stuff they cant rip out and put new stuff in.
Tour guide was wrong about the musical box. It's called a Regina Corona and plays discs, not cylinders, and they can be changed out. The phonograph also played voices along with music, whereas musical boxes only played music.
My Favorite Walt Disney Quote, "I hope we never loose sight of one thing...That is was all started by a mouse." R.I.P. Mr. Disney. when I visited Disneyland as an older child I do not think I knew that there was an apartment up there. I do not remember seeing the lamp on. I remember checking out the fire station though.
***** No I am not getting deep! I just do not like people who point out such minor things as a spelling mistake. So I made a spelling error. Who are you with the spelling police?
Walt is looking down saying " Come on dude, enough with my private apartment"! " they paid an extra 100 bones to come see my stuff!" Not to hear you say "Walts personal apartment" a hundred times!
Great video. They didn’t show the bathroom with the cool original bulbs that still work. Also, they didn’t show the patio that extends over the restrooms.
The only mistake made by the tour guide is that the lamp was never used to let cast members know that Walt was in the apartment. After all if Walt was sleeping in the apartment why would he have the lamp in in the room? The way the cast members were told that Walt was in the apartment was the firehouse doors were closed so that no guests would be able to go into the firehouse and disturb Walt upstairs. The lamp today is only on as an inspiration that the spirit of Walt is still alive today.
Actually Walt did use the lamp, it did notify cast members but most importantly the guest that he was in the park. Walt also knew that the Cast Members would work harder if he was in the park and you are indeed right it is still used as inspiration
Jacob Vanover I’m not sure what you are claiming here but to be clear the lamp was never used to notify anyone, cast members or guests, that Walt was in residence. The only notification was if the firehouse doors were closed or not. The lamp, being on since his death was only meant to be signifying that his spirit was still alive in the hopes to inspire cast members to take care of his Park.
Walt Disney himself referred to Disneyland as the magic kingdom as well many times and you can still refer to the park as the magic kingdom as long as it is used as "The Magic Kingdom of Disneyland" or "Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom of Disneyland." Sadly too many people who work at Disneyland today no longer follow this rule of thumb anymore. In Florida it is just Magic Kingdom Park.
We had a private tour back in early 2008 free muahah and there were no velvet ropes and got a picture by the light etc and the balcony .. Video too.. oh, at Walt Disney's Private Apartment so you know where it was. ;)
They hve the lamp on above firestation in Orlando, but unfortunatly, Walt never got to see his dream come to life. But the WDI team built it, built EPCOT Center (what I will always call it) and much more. And more to come! Thanks for the upload. How do you get a pass to get to take that tour a D'land?
elwingy Absolutely but with Walt being dead about 50 years a light bulb would be able to survive that long given there's the centennial light which is allegedly 115 years old

Christopher Thomas 😂
Oh, you beat me to it. Nice.
What makes you think that? :)
Hahahhaahhaha
I always cry when I hear the story about the lamp. That's the first thing I go to visit when my family goes to Disneyland. Walt Disney was awesome!
he was also racist
@@semperfidelious1888 Racism still exists. I love Disneyland.

Yeah he really did an amazing job!
Am I the only one today crying watching this video and on top of that feeling Walt's spirit around me ?
Wow. Walt Disney, thank you for being such an amazing man.

I loved having the opportunity to view this apartment when I was a tour guide in Guest Relations. Btw, good job Tyler!!!
A very emotional place to be.
I swear the guy with the beard and mickey shirt is warren spector the designer of epic mickey.
Hear me out. This might be real crazy. But I think that's Walt Disney's private apartment

Thank you so much for this most interesting tour, led by such a nice, sensitive (and so good-looking) guide!
I´m glad he will, hugs on the hottie and thanks for the kind feedback!
Idk how I feel that the cameraman kept panning to those 2 guys
my favorite part of the park. And always will be.
Rest in powerful peace Walter Elias Disney 🙏

I'm taking this tour next month! I'm so excited
how?
Welcome to Walt Disney's Private Apartment. :3
LOL! Getting all emotional @ 7:11
Pretty pathetic tbh.
How Walt would have done it: “Behold, my stuff.”
Thank you for uploading this video of *Roy Disney's* vacation cottage.
+Donny Tucker Oh my, someone's salty
I heard that the reason that the light is in 24/7 because a worker turned off the light and as she was leaving the light started to flicker on and off
Yaboi Sugarnips I would be scared if that happened at firs than I'd use it to communicate lol
Jacob Vanover of
I'd leave lol
the other reason they keep the lamp on is to please Walt Disney ghost
That a dream to go there I love to see that
Henceforth, Walt Disney's Private Apartment will be my safeword.

take a shot every time he says private apartment or walt disney
Great video. They didn’t show the bathroom with the cool original bulbs that still work. Also, they didn’t show the patio that extends over the restrooms.
I have watch this video four times and took a drink every time he said walt disney private apartment
Wait... is Walt Disney's apartment private?
not anymore
Ur 6 years older congrats
He's doing the Disney point. :)
I was waiting to hear about the lamp, nice video.
One question. Was this apartment private and if so who was it privately owned by?! Nothing in this video informs me of that. Dying to know.
I think this is the one he haunts and they can’t keep his lamp light off.
This is so cool :) I went to Disneyland a few years ago and I didn't even know this exists :/
What am I here watching again? "Walt Disney's Private Apartment" - Tour Guide for like the 20th time. Oh I see now.
I wonder if Walt had one off the wrist in there stood looking at the public with a tear rolling down his cheek...
I did saw this video in safari and I saw a picture of them Roy Disney with his son and his daughters

yes you would need to book the walk with walt tour in order to see it
Someone can make a drinking game out of how many times this guy says welcome to Walt Disney’s private apartment! 😂 🍻
Thanks for clearing that up.
how many hidden mickeys are inside the apartment?
I’m confused. Is this Walt Disney’s private apartment?

This week one will be checking back into the firehouse on sandy drive. The return
how exactly is the lamp on 365 days a year and full 24 hrs a day? Dont they ever have to change light bulbs?
+elwingy probably
+elwingy Depends on the lightbulb used. They do quite well when not turned on and off.
HaydenMcM1 i dont think that any light bulb exists that does not need to be changed eventually...
elwingy Absolutely but with Walt being dead about 50 years a light bulb would be able to survive that long given there's the centennial light which is allegedly 115 years old
It's a candle it's actually they actually just put that in about 2 years
Walt's Privates Apartment.
was always drawn to the firehouse as a kid, who knew walt disneys private apartment was up there
I’ve been on the same “Walk Through Walt Disney’s Footsteps” tour. I can confirm that this is Walt’s apartment above the firehouse.
What would have made that private apartment cooler is if walt woulda had a fireman pole to slide down into the fire station below 🤪😜😂😂
Me @ 5:43 - "gurl, getcha hand off the wingback chair! Rude" *eye roll*
@PersonNamedJulia that's Warreb Spector creative director of epic mickey and Deus Ex
