I used to work here when I was barely 16 going into my Jr year of HS. Many kids my age. What a great job. There used to be a place called Thrillvlle next door. Suzan, I’m pretty sure you were the one who hired alll of us, but we used to get in a car with 6-7 boys and girls and we would drive across the parking lot and ride “The Ripper” until one of our friends called over and said we needed to come back. Parking lot duty sucked but I have great memories about that also. Great place to for kids to work. Great place for families to visit.
I haven’t been to enchanted forest since the 1990’s. The water show was my favorite part. It’s changed sooo much but considering its humble beginnings, I’m so happy it’s still around. Thanks so much for sharing this video!
I remember looking forward to going here every year when I was younger, it’s such a fun place with the amazing haunted house, Indian caves and surreal themed walkthrough
Fun fact about Enchanted Forest, all of the music you hear throughout the park was composed in house by Susan Vaslev, daughter of Roger Tofte who built the park. This makes Enchanted Forest one of the only theme parks in America that doesn’t have to pay music royalties.
The buttons on the railroad were my favorite as a kid, when they’re working they make a BUNCH of different parts of the environment interactable. The main one I remember was you could make the windmill turn.
Great video! I haven't been there since I was a kid, but I remember vividly much of what you covered! The dwarves mine and the haunted house were my favorites. Thanks!
I am finally going again tomorrow. Your video is awesome quality and showing the gift shop is a + 14:17 he use to be in western town and would talk and draw gun. I think he said got you or something
Wow. They have added a ton of rides and attractions since the last time I was there, and altered many of the existing ones. Back then, the Ice Mountain Bobsleds were the only ride. They were still building the Medieval village and had just opened the Jolly Roger Inn, with its coloured-lights water show. Western Town was one of my favourite parts of the park. The shooting gallery was fun. You used to be able to duel with that gunslinger in the museum. He was hard to beat on the difficult level. I would highly recommend this park to anyone with kids. Thanks for the nostalgic tour.
I used to go here all the time. I live closer to it these days and have fond memories. The Gravity marble machine was my best memory of it beside the roller coaster
I love this place! The haunted house terrified me as a kid. I’m so happy it’s still here. The wildfires in 2020 were hard on the family who own The Enchanted Forest. I hope they’re doing okay now.
I used to go to this park with my grandma in the early 70s, my favorite part is the old west town where you can walk down an old west town street and play in a replica of an 1800s cavalry fortress!
I took my sons when they were super little. Most Of the stuff was closed when we had gone. My youngest was only 2 at the time, so their ages were 2, 5, and 7 my youngest still remembers going on the Log ride. They are Now, 34, 31, and 28 We plan on going again next summer, God willing. :) My parents took my sisters and I when we were little as well.
LOVE THIS PLACE.. I went there the first year it opened and have been there many times since. I even worked there as a Clown on their MILLIONTH GUEST DAY,
Enchanted Forest was my first theme park way back in the '70s, several years before Ice Mountain or the English Village existed. I will always love this park. Although I have several years of ride op experience at Oaks Park in Portland, Enchanted Forest is still the superior park in Oregon.
I used to love this place when I was younger I wanna go so bad now that I’m older and revisit but I live in Washington now and my cars shit I don’t wanna break down on my way
Former employee for enchanted forest here, we actually discourage bringing children in strollers, wheelchairs, or mobility scooters, as the entire park is built on a giant hill. There are many parts of the park where it would be physically impossible to wheel yourself up the hill, and if you did start rolling, you'd pick up speed fast, and would be dangerous. We do offer a golf cart driven by a employee if someone needs, however.
You know they say it’s haunted cuz rumors go around that it was built on an old Indian battle ground and I believe it cuz I’ve seen things in those Indian tunnels it was black like pitched black this isn’t fake I think it’s a very very rare scene. Thanks for reading

LOVE that they have an accordion player in the park...great to see that representation. Doesn't hurt that he's handsome too 😂

Grew up in oregon and went here at least once a year great memories

That is neat
So much charm packed into this park, beautiful landscaping too.

52 years old and I still get my kids together every year for a trip here.we've been going the last 26 years.
Great video! I haven't been there since I was a kid, but I remember vividly much of what you covered! The dwarves mine and the haunted house were my favorites. Thanks!
It almost went out of business during the covid shut downs. But the community supported a gofundme to help keep the park going.
Really I go here every year
@@LilHuddyOffical Its been a few years for me. Though now my daughter is old enough we plan on going.
I've been going to Enchanted for over 30 years. The haunted house still gives me the creeps. The tilted house is my favorite.
Always drove by here when I was a kid always wanted to go never went so hopefully this video by the end I will go there one day lol

Underrated family owned amusement park close to Portland and Salem.
Fun!

Three generations of my family have been there! It's a fantastic place!
That brought back memories of our visit to Enchanted Forest back in 2019, when we did our West Coast road trip. Ice Mountain Bobsled was great!
I was last here in 1979. Amazing how it's held up.
Yo this brings back some childhood memories
I worked there! They are still going strong :)

I have driven by, looks like a cute place!

My all time favorite
Great place to take kids of all ages
Love the video and the positive views on the park you got a like and a new sub
Grew up in Albany, would go here every year
Does anyone remember Thrillville, that was right next to The Enchanted Forest??
Yeah, never got to go there
"Now put the gun in the holster, and when I say, 'Draw,' draw.... Draw!"
I remembered that I went there.
my whole childhood lol
Haven’t seen remote control boats in forever.

cool place
The last time i was there, it was in the 80's.
Enchanted Forest should have outside food vendor trucks for the parking lot.
Not enough was said about the log flume. I really do think it's one of the better log flumes in the country. The last place you'd expect it.
I'm so excited to go with the family. Does anyone knoon average what the wait time is for rides?
I used to love this place when I was younger I wanna go so bad now that I’m older and revisit but I live in Washington now and my cars shit I don’t wanna break down on my way
I was on this vid I think
We have been there in September 1st
Enchanted Forest would be more practical if they had strollers for the children and Walkers or mobility scooters available for the seniors.

Enchanted Forest should have chainsaw sculptures of various animals.
I didn't see any food service in your video, was there some?
There was. They sell pizza in the fountain show area and one or two more food stands.
@@IntheLoopPodcast Thank you
This park is haunted too. Ghost Adventures did a whole show on this park.
Came here to say this! The Haunted House is supposedly actually haunted!
They upgraded the haunted house so much at this exact place
Apparently we had another theme park called pixie land but it had to be closed
