She said in one of her interviews that when she saw the cover of the book, the lyrics of the song started to play in her mind. The name is actually difficult to be translated word by word in English. It's weird, in Turkish "tek başımayım" and "yalnızım" have usually different meanings but in English they both translate as "I'm alone" maybe it is not that weird but I never thought about this before so it is weird enough for me

In my humble opinion, Şebnem (Shebnem) is one of the best female rock singer of all time not only in Turkey but world wide. Her deep feelings and sincere lyrics make her authentic and adorable. To me, she is not well known outside the Turkey because of Turkish lyrics. She is one of the best rock singers in Turkey. Turkey has got lots of rock bands in 90’s or 00’s. Nowadays some of the bands started making metal songs and Turkey got really awesome voices. Soft or heavy or strong voices. But they arent knowing so much around the world. I will feel very glad if they are knowing in the other countries:)

Everything started with t hhe band named Volvox (ergenler bilmez) but they never released an album. They continued to appear at rock bars and concerts. Şebnem was part of Volvox.

In my humble opinion, Şebnem (Shebnem) is one of the best female rock singer of all time not only in Turkey but world wide. Her deep feelings and sincere lyrics make her authentic and adorable. To me, she is not well known outside the Turkey because of Turkish lyrics. You can discover that each of her songs has its own story behind the curtains and most of them are painful real parts of her life...

Apocalyptica wanted to cover one of her songs, after they have listened her in a festival they've attended together . So, Şebnem's song "Perdeler" has been covered by Apocalyptica and took its place in her album.

Little bit of history for you. Sebnem Ferah was in a whole female rock group called Volvox. They used to play in rock bars etc, I'm ofcourse talking about over 20 years ago. When they split up Sebnem Ferah and Ozlem Tekin continued their carrier as singers.
