Fantastic trip Mike, amazing what can be done on a small bike, thanks for sharing. ps, I've subscribed 😂
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the videos.
Another brilliant film, Mike. This has been another great trip on your wee Cub which I love. I look forward to your next trip. Take us along. I went over the Bealach back in April on my '59 BSA C15, an awesome 250cc, just a week before Mr Douglas whipped out my prostate! ☹️ Feeling good now but not quite the man I was
Thanks Hugh. I'm working on the next videos as I write this. I hope you start feeling better soon.
Great, brought back happy memories, I love taking ny bike up to Scotland, Thanks Mike and Company
Thanks Jeff. Glad you enjoyed the videos.
Just smashed the 4 episodes dynamite man.
Nice one! Glad you've enjoyed the trip!
Just finished watching - great vid again mate!
Thanks Rob.
I lost the very tiny lens surround on my dji mini 2 in a passing place when it had an enthusiastic landing on the road to Iona. I went back 2 weeks later and found it. Bingo.
That's a turn if good luck! I think I lost the back of my case on the Torridon road. I've met Tobermory Cat a few times and even taken him back to Browns to get a tick pulled out his head!
@@yodagoat The lens cover was pinky finger nail sized....so chuffed to find it. Re Tobermory Cat - think you met a cat named Ledaig from Browns. Tobermory Cat was a viral I made back in 2011. It was base a parody on celebrity....based on Trump. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tobermory_Cat Understand the confusion. Like people thought they'd been to Balamory....fictional stuff and reality get mixed up etc.
uno dei posti più belli della Scozia, e il campeggio di Tim e uno dei miei preferiti
I think you need to get a Monkey bike and stop mucking about.
Beautiful scenery,I believe some of the oldest rocks on planet Earth are in the North West coast and Hebrides.Nice music also.
They are indeed. You can climb it to Knockan cragg just north east of Ullapool and see the geology.
@@yodagoat Returning from Iona ,the view toward Mull, lava layers are very much in evidence .❤️
Cracking wee series of films. Just binge watched them all.
Have to admit to calling it The Applecross Pass in my recent film title, but only because it rhymed with ass 😂
I did use Bealach na Ba in my voiceover though 👍
Glad you liked the videos! I've got more coming.
Greeat series, Mike! I know that one day I'm coming back to Scotland.
We really are lucky to have what we do on our doorstep.
Epic series bud.
Thanks! Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.
I love your videos. I very done the NC500 on a bigger bike but I have so much fun on my C90 Cub. Is that a standard engine or a Lifan? Many thanks. Keep 'er lit.
It's a horrible Lifan in it at the moment but I've got the original engine and a mint, freshly rebuilt Honda engine for it.
5:23 for the Win! Only last night I was looking at including Skye in my LEJOG trip (Callanish) - then you go 'n say 'Skye's always wet! 🤦♂
Callanish is on Lewis! Skye is often wet and is crazy busy with tourists at times. If you get it quiet on a nice day it's still beautiful.
Amazing series, enthralling to watch, with some beautiful music too 👌🏻. Why have I never ridden up to Scotland ? I must be completely daft or something. Will be putting this right in 2024 on several occasions. All my work leave is already taken up, but I have 5 days off blocks every 3 weeks, so I could do with maybe picking your brains on some basic route planning to fit stuff in during these small chunks. Really really top stuff Mike, thanks for sharing !
There's still a few spaces left for the Sunart Wildcat Rally! Come up to that!
I’d completely love to come up for that. But I’m off to the Isle of Man with the Monkey cultists on the same day. Viva ! 😂
Ha ha! Viva indeed! I'll keep an eye out for the video.
@@yodagoat As usual, I’ll be the one running away from the camera trying his very best not to get Viva’d. I find a half hearted raise of one arm usually satisfies and pacifies. 😂
Joking aside, the trip is brilliant, and the guys are all tremendous fun. Exploring some of the Highlands is next on my to do list after that. 👍
@@Karl3642 ha ha! "Not to get viva'd" 😂
Is your cub a standard 90cc engine or have you upgraded it? It just seems to do top speeds fully laden!
It's a horrible 110cc pit bike engine in it just now, but I've got the proper Honda one as well. Load never really seemed to affect top speed too much surprisingly.
Are we allowed to call it the "Pass of the Cattle'? Great trip that. When we were at the highest point of Bealach Na Ba a couple of years or so ago it was mid June - blowing a hoolie and 6°C ffs!
You need to be careful you don't get blown off sometimes! 😂
Hiya, after Lochcarron what was that single track road leading to the Ballach. Then what ferry did you jump on ?
Bealach
Hi John. That was the Applecross coastal route. It goes from Shieldaig to Applecross via Kenmore on the coast. The ferry was the Corran Ferry, same one you'd take to go to the Sunart Wildcat Rally (only a few spaces remaining, plug plug plug 😂)
Cheers. Aye I’ll defo do that Rally one day, canny next year sadly. Great routes as per
Ye ken yer back roads like
@@johncrawford2304 they're the best roads!
Ermm bob Jenny and Mikey have disappeared 🤣
Mikey went on a rampage and stole all their beer. They went home when Mikey threatened to give everyone in Lochcarron a Chinese burn.
How daRe you even use that phrase regarding that pass !! TWICE !!
Ha ha! 😂😂
Mike do you split up with your mates and ride alone, meeting them at the camp site??
Sometimes! But this time they went home. I filmed a bit of them leaving but the GoPro must have went a bit mental cos I didn't get the footage! 😂
@@yodagoat Great stuff....
It's sometimes much easier to just meet up at the campsite, especially if I'm stopping to film stuff, take photos and change batteries etc. Sometimes the guys stop with me and sometimes they do their own things.
@@yodagoat Agreed mate - love your stuff though ! But you won't catch me camping!
You just need good stuff. My camping matt is as comfortable as any bed. Having the tent means you can sleep practically anywhere, far better than a bed someone likely wanked in the night before!😂
Just don't forget your piss bottle (or en suite as we call it)
Great video.
Thanks Chris!
