I was SO ready for Loomis in a "death metal" band, like his featured solo on Bloodshot Dawn "Battle For The Omniverse", which was EPIC to say the least! Instead, he's only been getting 5-20 second solos while Amott has begun ripping off One... I didn't need to hear the sequel called "Two" on "Handshake With Hell". ..and he writes nothing but verse-chorus structured songs :(
Jeff is the biggest Scandinavian gangster to ever pick up a guitar! Jeff would show AE up and they know it. I don’t think they deserve him! Full time job with Alex Webster maybe? But pulling him from Cannibal is not realistic unfortunately. He is Cannibal. I’m not sure what bass player you get that being said. But put the first album on CD for Hel’s sake!
1:29 Shredding time! 2:18 Melodic shredding time! Seriously, this man keeps in "guitar-shape" (1:52 & 2:44 & 3:01!!!) despite playing "Smoke On The Water" downtuned with Arch Enemy. Meanwhile I stopped practicing, using University as an excuse.. Now I want to get back in the game! Fingers crossed for a 3rd solo album or Conquering Dystopia 2.0 soon, Jeff!
I gotta know what pick ups he's using in that guitar. I know they're not his signature pick ups just by looking at them. The pedal sounds gnarly but the guitar has to sound good itself to get an epic tone like that!
Amott not letting this man write for AE is criminal and will only hurt the band rather than JL himself. The man's a living legend in heavy music.
Right right, many people also speak about this
