"I feel bad for the girl maybe she had modeling dreams" ummm the model industry pretty crowded only like 2 percent of models make it. Most of this girls "with beauty with a twist" dont make it
Elaina me too ! That would have been me , how was she supposed to know they were real scouts ? They certainly don't look professional. And that's a very strange approach to begin with walking up to random people.
THANK YOU. Truly. I was never stood up for until I was lying in a hospital bed dying . I missed so many important moments because of anorexia. If someone had told me as a girl I would not be 27 and still fighting every day. You are a good mom
@@jamilgotcher5456 shut the fuck up , having a pretty face isn't a choice , good looking people deserve a life too!they can become whatever they want just like others , it's stupid people like u who think having a pretty face means you should be a model and crap .I mean why would someone deserve to go trough diets and shit ?screw modeling , study hard and become whatever, people DON'T have the fckn right to control other's future, even parents!so stop being a smart ass and respect other's choices .
So this guy thinks it's weird that a mother protected her children from two weird looking people who randomly approached them in a shopping mall. He needs to get a clue.
sopranosd 100 💯 exactly what I was thinking! I wouldn't have even stopped for those idiots. They don't look like professionals. They could be child abductors or something how would she know. And it's none of their business why the mom said no , maybe she wants more for her daughter than to be exploited by the modeling industry at such a young age.
sopranosd that wasn't his point but that's a good counter argument. He probably didn't consider that factor if he really only sees himself as an honest scout. His point was that (if the mom if did trust them as scouts) she instantly rejected a true offer towards a modeling life in front of a little girl who might've had the dream to be a model. Your point is stronger because that would be a natural response for most mothers, I just felt like clarifying, since I for one really didn't realize your side at first on my own. On a side note, I noticed that none of the family's faces were blurred out so I'm guessing they must've gotten their consent to be aired on tv and the scenario we saw was slightly staged. Anyways, they usually don't go around with cameras for their normal day to day.
Beth Roger They're just people who couldn't make it as models, and in stead make a living of starving young teens. The girls are probably insecure enough about them selves at that age that they don't need anyone to tell them they look too fat, when they actually are unusually skinny.. It's very conserning, and I wish there was an age limit to modeling. Doesn't seem like they realise how much impact they have on their lives.
Kitana Uetz Wtf? Are you stupid. She work for a modeling agency she’s not selling weight watchers - yes it’s sad but think about your apples to oranges comparison
Uh just like how some coaches in the NFL are overweight men? They are paid for their mind not physical attributes just like model scouts. They tell their players to lose weight and exercise all the time as well.
She’s not the one planning to become a model, yes the industry can be difficult but they have to be honest for the standards up to each agencies choice.
This is horrible, it's creating a whole culture and a whole young girl's life around how thin she is and basically telling them that their body is all that matters. No matter what the model scouts say it's pushing them too far and forcing anorexia on beautiful teenage girls who are at the most self-conscious part of their lives.
Maisie Mouse Get out of here - Just like you have certain requirements to be a professional weight lifting, boxer, Judo Wrestling, Rowing and Jockeys. Modeling is no different....
ArtaherDuron Yeah, but these girls are only teenagers! Also, those careers focus more on actual health like strength, muscle, etc. Modelling just focuses on how unhealthily skinny you can get and how long you can starve yourself for.
Boxers have been known to Limit their water and food consumption days before a weight-in, Take supplements that make them sweat or use the water out of their body, visit a sauna once a day before the weigh-in and on the day of the weigh-in most of them do not eat or drink. In order to meet the weight requirement - The down side of that is Dehydration. The effects of dehydration are reduced blood-flow to the kidneys and muscles - rapid dehydration can be fatal. Don't get me started on the Jockey's - Because the crap some of them go through would make you sick to your stomach. FYI - You start training to be a Jockey at 16 which is a teenager! As I have stated - They have certain requirements to be a professional in each of these fields - each of them have something about them that are unhealthy.
At the same time I understand that models NEED to be thin, but turning someone away for having a 24 inch waist, and telling them they need to improve is insane- Especially since that young female was already SO skinny. She'll head home wondering why she isn't thin enough and starve herself to "get there". It's sad.
I agree with you. Some models these days are too thin, not all of them. This in turn causes many people to be like them and lower the self esteem. Everybody is unique and different in terms of body and looks. So, we should all embrace it and the thing is to be fit and not be too thin
Jess Bella Right? I want to see FIT models - models with muscle. Models with SHAPE. Models that are ACTUAL athletes. Look at the British women's volleyball team. They've got thick, muscular middles and thighs that touch, but they're way healthier than these poor things.
No one is saying that ^. Most of these girls being that tall ARE naturally skinny- but naturally skinny is never enough. Because you have to be toned and have the absolute right measurements. Most natural skinny girls are skinny fat. I have a girlfriend who is 5'10 she is natural skinny but her body wouldn't be considered "model like". That's ok. What I don't like is when they turn these poor girls away after working their butts off.
I'd love to be a model but if two random people just approached me in the street asking if I wanted to join their agency, the whole thing would reek of a scam to me.
MVA Game I'm pretty sure that happened to me A few years ago I saw this lady at Costco and she was like do u want to be a model in my head I was like this is a scam and if it wasn't I'm still an ugly potato and my parents thought it was a scam too but they agreed so the lady would leave but just the other day I saw the same lady talking to another couple and they gave them the same business card
K. Oj yes they’ve been discovered but not by the big companies. IMG is one of the biggest agencies and they don’t go out looking for them. if they’re a big agency they already have so many people coming to them that going out and looking for potential clients isn’t necessary.
To everyone who has replied: Yes, they are doing their jobs, but it is ironic that they have the AUDACITY to call freakishly skinny girls TOO fat, when they themselves are the obtuse and overweight ones.
Their weight isn't relevant because they aren't the models. If you want to become a model you need to know what you're signing up for. It isn't a business of being nice.
Foreal because he's not even dressed professionally and he's overweight also big time .So is the redhead lady .They can be kidnappers or killers you never know .They're stupid.
If I was in this position I couldn't this emotionally, if adults were telling me to starve myself and exercise obsessively to get skinnier hips and thighs it would make me so insecure and sad, this is not a healthy lifestyle
This is sad, these poor girls are being trained to be anorexic. the modeling world is killing these young girls. and the sad part is we as consumers are continuing to fall for this madness.
They don't shame just any overweight person and tell them they need to lose weight. They're telling the girls the truth; if they want to be a successful supermodel, then they need to be a specific sizing. That's all they're doing.
Okay so I knew the modeling industry was harsh, but after watching this... It's made me realise just how horrible it is and all of the pressure it puts on young women. I want to be a model but I definitely don't have what it takes if a 24 inch waste isn't considered skinny enough. I think I'll just stick to the cupcakes.
I'm not saying that they should be that skinny, but it is more for being able to cut down the competition. As the scouts were saying, there is so much competition in the modelling World right now. they need some kind of guidelines, as with any job, for the girls
their sickos. ...and they aren't training like "professional athletes" ...ppl that train that way train for muscle. she says she needs to "tone her legs down" she means drop MORE weight. ...not TONE them. very depressing for them.
here's what I don't get- why are the measurements soooo important?? I think proportion is far more important. better yet, overall beauty that catches the eye. the details mean nothing if you don't have the "it" factor.
Because designers are not gonna make extra clothee for every girl. They should all fit one size. Also, very obviously, clothes look better on tall and skinny people.
+Meggie same here. despite that I have an ED and everyone is always saying I'm too skinny and I look like I'm on drugs. wtf man. its true. my waist is almost 26 inches though, so I feel like a fat cow
+Cierra Foy Thank you. In this world if you don't look like Kendall Jenner, and size 2 and smaller models you are not all that. Us girls who are not sticks are like a trend. But we are this way all the time, WE ARE NOT A TREND. My body is not trend. Ugh. We all need to uplift one another.
In fact everybody in the modelling industry, the photographer, the make-up artist, the designer, the scouts, the agents, they are all normal weight to overweight and they are all fine and yet they obsess about being thin on their models because that's going to be their revenue stream for the next forever years. They claim the reason why the models need to be so thin is because in case if they need to work in the Asian markets, they need to fit into the clothes in Asia because Asian sizes are several sizes smaller but the truth of the matter is, Asians are naturally smaller because of smaller bones. If somebody is naturally smaller boned, you won't be able to compete with them. You can starve yourself to death and you would still be fatter than them because your bones are bigger. People should really be more relaxed about modelling and treat it like the lottery, if it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, it doesn't, meanwhile eat healthy, be positive and strong and enjoy life!! There is SO MUCH more in life than modelling.
"..... Now you will say thank you mom, for not buying those cupcakes...". Are you kidding me??? 😑 Young girls should not be worrying and be criticized for their weight and what they eat. This is ridiculous.
That is not it. What these girls want is to be admired. And people are superficial, so they turn to the outside. While real beauty is at the inside. A good heart never fades.
Arrow Wtf no they don’t for fucks sake - I think it was Adrianna Lima who said that before a show, she will only eat egg smoothies during the week before. Over exercising and underrating is an eating disorder - and it’s why top athletes don’t look like models, because their physique isn’t healthy.
@@katysmith1284 Of course models don't look like top athletes, they are suppose to be lean, not buff. They exercise a ton and eat very healthy in order to gain their physique. A lot of VS models literally show their workout routine and diet like @joja (instagram account owned by 2 VS ANGELS). It's true that there are models who aren't healthy but that's not the case for every model. This is just an extreme case.
It's the ideal shape in the modelling industry because designers don't want the viewer to be distracted by the models curves but to be solely focused on the clothing.
jasmine Knipe in general people don't really find skinny tall girls attractive.they like girls with nice bodies.but I'm one of those skinny girls, but I can't really gain weight.i was always skinny and perfectly healthy.but it hurts me people bother me about how skinny I am.
Honestly, what the guy model scout says at 1:23 makes me mad...I mean, he's making the mom out to be the bad guy...With all the stuff you hear about the fashion industry being such a competitive environment, and that it promotes an unhealthy lifestyle (ie- being stick thin, no matter what it takes), can you really blame the mom for saying 'no'?? Especially since her daughter is really young. I just wish that people in charge of the modeling companies would encourage their models to be at a healthy weight. Just to prevent the development of eating disorders...It's obviously different if the model just happens to have a higher metabolism, and can't put on weight easily. Hardly ANY women are that thin, (not to mention the fact that the majority of women are not nearly as tall as models tend to be)...They need to gear fashion towards more than one body type, and not just "the 1%"...Also, side note: Neither one of the modeling scouts is exactly in 'peak physical health' themselves, according to the type of models they themselves are looking for.
Seriously, though. Who has a "21 waist? Oh right...most girls who are 7, or 4'8" tall and petite. If you are 5'10" with a "21 waist you are malnourished and need to be hospitalized.
FelitaSucitro that’s true, but it would be easier if they were younger and they were healthy so it would be easier to keep it up for when their adults.
this actually made me cry. im not skinny, definately not and i would kill for a body like that and for them to tell her shes too FAT and she has to lose more weight. What does that say about the rest of us. I just feel so bad for them, because i think they dont see how truly beautiful they are.
JustinTylerFeelsx They aren't saying that she's fat, their saying that her measurements aren't meeting the standards of the modelling industry. It's the models' job to meet the expectations, just like its a doctor's job to help people. Models aren't just some average people, they need to be different in order to be successful.
Amina Ibrag if they have to be underweight to be a model its wrong, why cant they have average sized model, because they are too fat to do it, its sad when size 12 is concidered plus size
6:18 fed me...I want some bread That's SOO sick and disgusting pushing these girls towards being skinny enough to fit in a dress to walk on a freaking runway...
brittney smith tyra banks once told that when she was strugglin with her weight at 19, cause she was "too big" for high fashion, her mom left the room, went back with a pizza and said "SCREW THEM". so she focused on commercial modeling, that requires "fuller" girls. that´s a mom that kid needs. happy means more than whatever that girl is.
"I feel bad for the girl because, maybe in her heart she had a dream to be a model, and her mother just shut it down completely." Actually, the mother is doing a great job by protecting her vulnerable young daughter from predators like these "model scouts." It's so despicable how they hold these beautiful girls to a ridiculously impossible standard, especially considering how THEY look. Telling that one girl to lose weight? Maybe they should take their own advice and see what it's like to starve.
Beauty is not pain. Beauty is believing in yourself and having enough confidence to pull off *you*. So whoever thinks that there is such thing as a girlish figure, a stick thin representation of their true selves. You don't need to be perfect to be beautiful. Modeling with these barely there girls brings down other's self esteem and I believe that there is still hope for the world if we embrace diversity in modeling or anything for that matter.
I actually pity models. They're more beautiful than 'the rest of us', but at the same time the competition is inhuman (they're mostly treated like cattle except the few who make a name for themselves) and there'll always be a model that's better or younger than them anyway. Plus, when you age (=when you're over thirty)... bye bye career. You'd have to be REALLY down to earth and have options and a personality outside of modeling not to become completely crazy...
It sucks to be "too ugly for the modeling industry". Like my friend is a model and loves to talk about her photoshoots but she's like 5ft. I'm taller, but I guess it's because IM NOT PRETTY ENOUGH. What is beauty and why am I not qualified for it?
Honestly, it's not every modeling agency that does this, just these two. I have a friend who is 5'2 and started modeling just a few months ago and he's walking his first runway in march! I wish every modeling agency had diversity to give an ACTUAL representation of the real fashion world
Is your friend walking in high fashion show? As far as I know, commercial and high fashion modeling are two different things and therefore have different standards. If you want to walk for big name disigners you have to be ultra skinny.
Ruby Ti that's not entirely true. I know a lot of people who are plus size and are EXTREMELY famous. Even curvy girls that have a ton of money. You just have to look at the right agency.
+MiMiRbMs The blonde mother that took her daughter there saying "we'll do anything"... and she's like "you're going to say thank you mum for not buying the cupcakes" and you see the girl's forced smile - pretty sure she'd rather have the cupcake and not pursue her mother's stupid dream.
The scouts said they were looking for "beauty with a twist, something different." So, really tall, really thin girls? Yeah that's a total gamechanger right there. I'm glad the models seem healthy right now, but it's a slippery slope from running 13 miles a day to taking diet pills to having a full blown eating disorder. It's really disheartening to watch girls being trained to think their bodies aren't good enough.
I'm a fashion model myself and the girl who got rejected for being "too big", would be enthusiastically accepted into any agency with those measurements. The girl who was shipped off to New York is actually on the small side for a lot of models. The industry is crazy, but those scouts are actually taking it to a much worse extreme all on their own.
This is probably telling girls that if their stomachs are not so tiny, if their legs are not so long, that they are too ugly to live their passion........ everyone is beautiful, just accept actual real people.
+Jane Fresnel Cara is from a huge aristocratic family in England that is old money and extremely connected. It's not hard to make modelling happen for someone with connections
+K Tibaijuka Actually, Cara's connections didn't help at all, really. Marc Jacob's famously called her a "dwarf" to her face and cut her from a show before she had a breakthrough surge of popularity.
This is disgusting. The world of modeling is ridiculous and corrupt. I don't know why any parent would put their child through this. And I mean, what do you get in the end? Fame, money? How about you send your child to a good school or help them do something that isn't superficial? Good for that mom that said she wasn't interested.
Britney O Good for you :) Just be confident in yourself and be confident in the fact that you can achieve your goals. Don't get pushed into an industry that's just going to tell you you're not good enough. If NASA's what you want to do, go for it :)
jim jones What's there to be jealous about? The fact that they're almost anorexic? The fact that they're always told their not good enough? I'm not hating on the models, I'm hating on the industry. You're probably "jelly" of the fact you're not dating one of these girls and trying to take out you inner anger on me.
Um, do you not remember your original comment? So you call me jealous (which is an actual word. Jelly is not) and then when I call you jealous you say that is proof that I'm jealous? How old are you? 5? Or are you some 50 year old sitting in his basement posting lame ass comments on UA-cam and laughing by himself. Hahahahaha you're so funny. Not.
Firstly, learn how to use grammar. Secondly, your comment made absolutely no sense. Yes, I did comment on this video because I had something to say. I live in a country where I have freedom of speech and I can comment whatever the hell I want. You personally attacked me on my own comment, so obviously I was going to reply. If you had posted a comment on the video itself saying that "all you girls are jelly of them hahaha" I would have ignored the comment. Now you sound like a child who continuously feels the need to say jelly as if it was an actual word in the English dictionary and trying to make me feel bad about myself.
1:17 Praise that mother!! She knows how toxic the model industry is and that her daughter would grow up constantly restricting herself and self concious.
Wow...... "Based largely on those measurements." That is terrible, the reason why so many of us are destroyed in the self-esteem department today. The one girl literally said "feed me, I want bread." I am here to tell you all you're beautiful I can't say it any better than Alessia Cara said. "You don't have to change a thing, the world can change it's heart." That is so true, go listen to the song. Society is so fucked up. But we are society. Let's change that! And top of that neither of the scouters were exactly a stick. That is self hate.
She has a 24 1/2 inch waist and she apparently itsnt small enough? I have a 25 inch waist and I was bullied for years for being very skinny, wtf do these agents want these girls to go through
I have a 23 inches waist, but I am not anorexic. My waist is just very very small and you know.. I would like to gain wait so much, but my metabolism isn't that helpful XD. I get bullied a lot because of that
It's the whole industry! And now it's going the other way with super morbidly obese women (tess holiday) being glorified. Where are the real sized women that the cloths are aimed at why arnt they being represented at all?
"thanks mom for not buying those cupcakes" that's so sad like she's shaming her daughter for eating sweets like I know the girls dream is to be a model but in moderation sweets are ok and telling your daughter she can't eat if she wants to be a model is gross :/
My question is Why do they NEED to be thin. They are models that are selling us a product. Most of the people that will be buying and using that product aren't stick figure skinny. Also do you ever think that because you tell someone "Oh your waist is 2 inches to big, you can't do what you have been training for and dreaming about your whole life." Did you ever think how much that hurts there own self image? I just hope we get to the point were anyone can be a model no matter how short or tall they are and if they are on the bigger size. God I hope this world grows the fuck up and grows some brains.
Alexandra Lucas Designers do clothes in one size, and they need to be able to fit into that one size. Fashion shows are usually 6 months before they start selling something, so they start to produce more sizes after a fashion show to see what people like.
+Alexandra Lucas As a former runway model, I can say that they literally want tall skinny girls because they "want good 'hangers' to make the clothes look fantastic". My agent used to say this. FUCKING HANGERS! -.- I stopped that shit.
"I was wondering why I am torturing myself then I got my head back on straight" noooo sweetie you got ur head twisted around! You shouldn't d have to be torturing yourself to satisfy some people. Yes modeling is something you want to do but you are getting treated like a product. For a long time I wanted to be a model and even got some call backs but when I saw all these requirements like what weight I had to be (I'm not heavy I just have "Latin" curves) I was blown away. I wasn't about to risk my health so I could fit in some Name brand dress. The modeling industry is messed up
Maybe the mom quickly shut them down because they were screaming "EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME" and then creepily going "your daughter is soooo pretty". You would think these people would be more professional
Ess you're just assuming that everyone who disagrees with the industry is overweight?? And there's been many storys of people developing anorexia when they're trying to be a model
Nah not really. They're born rich and already had connections in the industry to make it big. Their careers were bought so they didn't have to go through any of this.
the modeling business is a ruthless business they could care less if your family is on tv or if your sister is Kim k all that they care about is your size and if you can't match then that's to bad-you have to work hard to even have a chance to make it let alone get as far as Kendall has
+psxcopata san i know right... what i hate the most is when my mother or a close family member is always like "look how tall and pretty that girl is oh i wish you were that height so we could put you in modeling" i hate it this is shaming the majority girls to be tall and its little bit rare that a girl is ever that tall...
"What girl, even for a fleeting moment, hasn't dreamed of this?" me. I dunno maybe i was one of those weird kids who would've rather been at a pet store near you
nachos It's understandable that people feel bad for their fellow human being watching them be exploited and taken advantage of at a young age. Don't act like it's no big deal
XforeverlongingX if enough of these women chose not to be models due to the standards being too harsh, then modeling agencies would be forced to drop the standards down to a more sane level in order to keep enough models around. as it stands now though they don't seem to have any problem finding enough bodies. to a certain extent, these women are doing this to themselves. i'm not saying that the modeling agencies are blameless, just that it is pointless to argue with them on an emotional level. you have to hit em where it hurts, and that is in their supply of models, and thus their profits.
nachos It's also not easy when you don't have money. I just think it's overwhelming for these girls, most of which, I'd dare to say, are insecure and find this to be a way of validating themselves. Ofcourse logically though I agree they are participating in it and doing themselves harm. You're right about that.
this just awful, they are training them to become anorexics. god, it really bothers me. those girls are already so skinny and measuring their waists like that probably makes them feel like absolute shit. especially that clip with the mother and they are like oh you'd make your mom so proud when you get on a cover of a magazine as if thats what their worth is about, their looks. our society is really fucked up.
Tilly Girl It doesn't matter. You have to be consistent when you're losing weight or you'll bloat, and so they're consistently depriving themselves of food so they can lose inches because they know if they eat that piece of bread, they'll get "fat" and that's how they'll see themselves in the mirror. "Oh that sandwich made me go up a half an inch, must lose it now!" Anorexics.
Much respect to the mother who said no to making her Young daughter being a model ...whether you like it or not modeling is based on appearance it's shallow there's nothing more to it, purely based on body image no one care about the model's brain and the knowledge she has ... I respect parents who want more for their children
I can't help but think that if one of the truly famous designers were to purposefully use a selection of girls of various body types, ethnicities and heights in a high fashion runway show.... it would be a big statement and thus a huge hit in the media and all over the news. If only...
Designers tend to go for uniform looks during a show. There are plenty of "petite" models in the industry, but you won't see them walking on runways. High fashion will never be anything other than tall and lean. Runway isn't about the model. It's about the clothing/accessories.
@@puppykisses89 Most women who buy the clothes aren't as tall as the models. People always think it can't be done until it is. Rihanna (through savage fenty) has proven that it can be done.
This makes me so damn angry like come on. They're beautiful girls and you can hardly tell the difference like if we're being realistic, who gives a fuck? They all look the same height wise, weight wise and bust wise and waist wise I could go on. It's horrible. They're making regular girls feel like shit and they're making those girls feel like shit. It makes me happy that I'm not model material. I don't want to be scrutinised like that. And I can eat fries all day everyday.
Person Anon I have nothing wrong with my self-esteem. I'm happy with myself. But because a girl is 5 cm off the requirement to be a model who gives a fucking shit? Who would be able to tell the difference and what gives some older woman who most definitely doesn't meet the requirements the right to tell them they're 5 cm too fat? And honestly, good for your cousin if she can eat what she wants and can still be skinny.
+lizzie ting They are making models seem unachivable that's why. The model world is tough but there's plenty of other agencies with different types of requirements.
Oh cmon, I'm sure you're absolutely beautiful. Different people. Different bodies. Besides, these are models- they have to be skinny. But ask any guy and they will tell you, they're not into stick skinny, or at least, unnatural stick skinny.
I AM LITERALLY SO MAD RN. They want someones stomach to be 23 INCHES, to qualify????!!!! Way to make someone anorexic!! Ugh. I hate this. Especially when the red head is telling the girl then her stomach is massive.. Look at hers!! Ugh.
Two unprofessionally looking people stalk teenage girls and then ask them to stay at their house for a few days to take pictures of their bodies... Yeah, okay the parents seem to know what they're doing. Two thumbs up.
This is so sickening to me. Now I understand why so many models have eating disorders. They're constantly getting measured, they constantly hear that they need to be this small, or this tall, or whatever the fuck. Why? Why the hell does it matter? We are all humans at the end of the day, skinny or not. I would never let my child become a model.
I should make place where I can show people's natural beauty. like people with acne and bumpbs, or people who are over weight. or even girls with scars
+miracle ivey There are average people around us all day long. Not something that's going to make any money for the industry they are in. People shouldn't be so butt hurt about the modeling industry. It is what it is.
+Richard Mazur well saying things like that is part of the problem. people are willing to do things that potentially kill them to be a model or to look like one. what good does it do to keep it the way it is
This is literally the standard weight for high fashion shows it's literally a waistline of 24' or under not over. I don't think it's cute either but thats just the standard. People do not look that good so slim but if you ever watch any fashion show you'll notice almost all of them are the same size. Also victoria's secret models only look "healthier" because they are lingere models and they are supposed to have a bigger measurment in bust and hips than a normal runway model. When you construct clothes on a dress form the lingere dress forma are bustier and hippier than the ordinary dress forms.
"Her mom just shut it down completely" Um they were complete strangers...that's too risky
or pedos
It's not that risky if they have a whole camera crew following them lol
"I feel bad for the girl maybe she had modeling dreams" ummm the model industry pretty crowded only like 2 percent of models make it. Most of this girls "with beauty with a twist" dont make it
The mother at the begining of the video who refused them to recruit her daughter is the real winner.
Couldn't be closer to the truth!
Yeah! Maybe the mom was a model and knew how slimy the industry is.
exactly
True
true.
I literally applaud the mother who said no
Elaina me too ! That would have been me , how was she supposed to know they were real scouts ? They certainly don't look professional. And that's a very strange approach to begin with walking up to random people.
Elaina pimps use same tactics
Elaina exactly!
bergercookie That's the most common approach, what are you talking about. ??
I literally don't. Shattering the little girl's dreams before they could even start.
there all so tiny ? lose what? bone?
Kayla Gee Basically xD
Ikr it’s not healthy at all
The mother who turned them down on the spot did the right thing in my opinion. I would never put my daughter through this crap.
Frida 💯 fact , she wants more for her child than just to be a pretty face in a super shallow industry
And the nerve of these creeps saying they feel pity for the girl! There are so many other things to focus on in this life.
THANK YOU. Truly. I was never stood up for until I was lying in a hospital bed dying . I missed so many important moments because of anorexia. If someone had told me as a girl I would not be 27 and still fighting every day. You are a good mom
It's always the ones that say they would never put their daughter through this that have a daughter who is far from model material lol.
I'm so glad that mother didn't let her daughter be a model actually. This is a bit sad
love how the red head says 24 1/2 inch waist is huge but then she's sitting there and she doesn't even have a waist
lmao true
they look anorexic
because her job is to discover new star, she doesnt need to have a model figure to do that
The model scouts are scumbags.
They are normally fat and ugly, how ironic!
bitchass
These are the two grossest, creepiest people I have ever seen.
Agreed...
Yes
So this guy thinks it's weird that a mother protected her children from two weird looking people who randomly approached them in a shopping mall. He needs to get a clue.
Certainly!
My great aunt was chosen to be a model and as soon as she was told that she would have to lose at least 25lbs my great grandma said no.
sopranosd 100 💯 exactly what I was thinking! I wouldn't have even stopped for those idiots. They don't look like professionals. They could be child abductors or something how would she know. And it's none of their business why the mom said no , maybe she wants more for her daughter than to be exploited by the modeling industry at such a young age.
sopranosd Yeah, they could have been human traffickers for all that the mom knew. A mother's intuition is worth gold.
sopranosd that wasn't his point but that's a good counter argument. Anyways, they usually don't go around with cameras for their normal day to day.
i find it ironic how the model scouts aren't "high fashion looking"
not saying its a bad think if u aren't "high fashion looking" but they are literally tryna make the girls slim down :((((
Beth Roger I was thinking the exact same thing!!
they're promoting s destructive lifestyle such as ed's NOT TO MENTION THEY AREN'T EVEN SPRING CHICKENS THEMSELVES
Beth Roger not really. you can have a really good eye for potential models but not be very good looking yourself
The mom was like "you ain't gonna turn my kids into barbie dolls"
That would be me as a mom 😂
Mom said I could my sister wants me to and my dad said no.. Cause I got an offer to go to a modeling thing in nyc but he said no lmfao
fleur feirce oke?
+not a youtuber That's what I would have done if I had a daughter. If she'd said yes she would have been sending her kid into a really messed-up life.
+not a youtuber Good parenting.
The female scout telling them they aren't skinny enough she was fat herself. If anything she's the one who needs to drop the pounds
She’s not the one planning to become a model, yes the industry can be difficult but they have to be honest for the standards up to each agencies choice.
yes!!
ArtaherDuron That doesn't make it okay :(
Maisie Mouse thank you thank you thank you so much
The mother at the beginning is a true mom...she protected her child from years of abuse...well done mom...that's parenting done right!!!
Jess Bella But that's life, You work had for something but it doesn't mean you get the job.
I don't understand why models need to be thin like :(((( I have noooo chance
I'd love to be a model but if two random people just approached me in the street asking if I wanted to join their agency, the whole thing would reek of a scam to me.
MVA Game I'm pretty sure that happened to me
A few years ago I saw this lady at Costco and she was like do u want to be a model in my head I was like this is a scam and if it wasn't I'm still an ugly potato and my parents thought it was a scam too but they agreed so the lady would leave but just the other day I saw the same lady talking to another couple and they gave them the same business card
when they’re a big label looking for models they would never send out ppl to go to random locations. They have the models come to them.
@@brielle4558 not true. Big models have been discovered on the street actually
K. Oj yes they’ve been discovered but not by the big companies. IMG is one of the biggest agencies and they don’t go out looking for them. if they’re a big agency they already have so many people coming to them that going out and looking for potential clients isn’t necessary.
@@brielle4558 Naomi, Linda, Tyra, Kate, Joan , etc etc were all discovered in public places lol
those two have the audacity to tell girls they aren't skinny enough?
They're doing their jobs.
+iamkarenh well, their job stinks.
+Sammie O'Grady uhhhhhh.... thats how its always been.
To everyone who has replied:
Yes, they are doing their jobs, but it is ironic that they have the AUDACITY to call freakishly skinny girls TOO fat, when they themselves are the obtuse and overweight ones.
Their weight isn't relevant because they aren't the models. If you want to become a model you need to know what you're signing up for. It isn't a business of being nice.
HOW IS SHES NOT SKINNY ENOUGH? THATS FUCKING SICK. SHE IS THE SKINNIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. WTF
+Amy Glass Is your pic from a Ereri doujinshi? fufu
+Clear from California I don't know, probably, I think I found it on google though Idek. I've seen too many Ereri DJs to remember xD
I found out it's Lost Sheep by Nia, TMI but in that pic, Eren was about to do the nasty with him (>///
Clear from California hkmnjkhukb I just read it and died. Yay Ereri shippers unite! ^~^
The fashion designers make the clothes to fit certain measurements so they have to fit in it
Idk I wouldn't trust 2 random people in a mall saying they're model scouts LMAO
with a news camera crew? I think I'd believe them
Foreal because he's not even dressed professionally and he's overweight also big time .So is the redhead lady .They can be kidnappers or killers you never know .They're stupid.
Lmao
Ummm that's the most common way to be scouted..
Amanda Lu literally I see your comments on every single video
If I was in this position I couldn't this emotionally, if adults were telling me to starve myself and exercise obsessively to get skinnier hips and thighs it would make me so insecure and sad, this is not a healthy lifestyle
This is sad, these poor girls are being trained to be anorexic. the modeling world is killing these young girls. and the sad part is we as consumers are continuing to fall for this madness.
So here we are watching two overweight people telling people that they need to lose weight. Interesting
😂
They don't shame just any overweight person and tell them they need to lose weight. They're telling the girls the truth; if they want to be a successful supermodel, then they need to be a specific sizing. That's all they're doing.
literally tho
Haha I'm underweight actually...
Lauren T I was looking at that crap. Wth..?
"Not buying those cupcakes" ? Eating disorder supporting or what
+Gabriela Dimurro I know right! I had a huge wtf moment when she said that.
she's a stage mom, you can tell shes living bicuriously through her daughter .
I know I'm like that mother is just supporting eating disorders a cupcake isn't going to do anything to that skinny girl
that girl didn't even seem to want to model as much as she was saying she did
if you look on her instagram she's a plus size model now
This is so sad. Those girls were perfectly thin and didn't need to lose any weight, I wish I looked like that.
Emely Me too :(( But you're beautiful, always think that of yourself. I'm working on it myself.
Non-existent Mist thank you I bet you're beautiful as well😁
they were beautiful. but that's not what the modeling world looks for. they want anorexic thin
Deb Jurgens true
Emely The same.
Okay so I knew the modeling industry was harsh, but after watching this... It's made me realise just how horrible it is and all of the pressure it puts on young women. I want to be a model but I definitely don't have what it takes if a 24 inch waste isn't considered skinny enough. I think I'll just stick to the cupcakes.
and brownies
Yeah don't forget the brownies :')
I agree
Heck yea and Popeyes chicken large sides yum lol
Waste
Agent: "And you can say thank you mom for not buying those cupcakes"
Girl: *super frowny face
emi loo Actually the mom is the one that said that. My jaw hit the floor when I saw that; parent of the year right there. 🙄
I thought that was her actual mom that said that. ??
Wtf they are so freaking skinny why are they asking them to be skinner
I'm not saying that they should be that skinny, but it is more for being able to cut down the competition. As the scouts were saying, there is so much competition in the modelling World right now. they need some kind of guidelines, as with any job, for the girls
AnaClare Ikr it's like, isn't a bit of wight attractive?
AnaClare that's what modeling is if you don't like it then that's probably why you aren't a model
their sickos. ...and they aren't training like "professional athletes" ...ppl that train that way train for muscle. she says she needs to "tone her legs down" she means drop MORE weight. ...not TONE them.
very depressing for them.
+Venetta Bejenaru And you need a lot fuel before you work out. Fuel = food, and you can't eat like a bird before you hit the gym.
here's what I don't get-
why are the measurements soooo important?? I think proportion is far more important. better yet, overall beauty that catches the eye. the details mean nothing if you don't have the "it" factor.
Because that is how the industry works ! The thinner the better , no boobs no butt ...they have to look like a coat hanger !
Lol true bruh
Thayla May so true!
its more for the designers because they make the clothes a certain size and the models have to fit.
Because designers are not gonna make extra clothee for every girl. They should all fit one size. Also, very obviously, clothes look better on tall and skinny people.
24 1/2 inches and she wasnt small enough? really screwed up. cant believe i wanted to be like this once in my life.
I know. I have around a 26 inch waist and now I feel fat as hell.
+Meggie same here. despite that I have an ED and everyone is always saying I'm too skinny and I look like I'm on drugs. wtf man. its true. my waist is almost 26 inches though, so I feel like a fat cow
+Cierra Foy you're beautiful.
+MiMi Lloyd thank you. not sure if I believe it but so are you :)
It's so ironic that the 'model scouts' are overweight and far from attractive. Lol
Ironic? lol they're model scouts not models, they don't have to be in shape
Not to mention they dress like crap!
Allie Cameron They are overweight. Far from attractive is a matter of opinion, and feeds into what you're postured to be against.
I like how you compared it to the lottery because, in most cases, it won't happen for people.
"not buying those cupcakes" disgusting. That mom should be ashamed of her self.
I think she was just joking around
William MacIsaac No, I don't think so. Yes, she was joking, but I'm pretty sure she still meant it.
When i heard her her say that i was like "did this really just happen ...did i hear right...cuz that's some messed up thing to say"
And? There's nothing wrong with eating only healthy food.
Katrine B. Harr Dybdahl Yeah she was super ridiculous. Clearly she wants to make her daughter live our her own dream
1:15 Mom's like "No I will not put my child through that, get the hell away from me"
Diamond Nebula 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 that's what I would've said good for her
While they are training their asses off, I will just sit here comfortably eating a piece of the chocolate cake that I got for my birthday. :)
+Mikedy Or a nice piece of fried chicken.... Yuuuuuuuum
Well good job for the mom that said straight NO, these people are literally forcing anorexia
They are already skinny enough 😕😐
Yep. As someone who battled anorexia this is where it starts
"..... Now you will say thank you mom, for not buying those cupcakes...". Are you kidding me??? 😑 Young girls should not be worrying and be criticized for their weight and what they eat. This is ridiculous.
I know right?! She's a stick already. So sad
+SingingEllaRenee T. The face of the daughter at that point said everything imo.
Ella R. They should be criticised if they are eating too little or too much.
Ella R. My name is Ella R too lol
We're all going to get old and have saggy skin, and eventually die, so why waste a huge portion of your life worrying about how you look?
Molly amen!!
That is not it. What these girls want is to be admired. And people are superficial, so they turn to the outside. While real beauty is at the inside. A good heart never fades.
I needed this so thanks! :)
Molly Graves to get money while your still young
Exactly
Training like professional athletes while eating like tiny rabbits. Yeah that seems healthy.
Christina K. Well those parts are fucking healthy you fool. It’s the reason why that’s gross. The beauty myth is fucked-up
You do realize that most models like the Victoria secret ones workout for hours and eat like crazy just they eat healthy stuff
There are so many victims of this fashion industry...almost all the models eat nothing and train a lot. Anorexia is a MAJOR problem in the field.
I don't get why it's required for them to be so freaking skinny? That level of skinniness isn't even attractive, why is it the "ideal" body image.
It's the ideal shape in the modelling industry because designers don't want the viewer to be distracted by the models curves but to be solely focused on the clothing.
+Amelia Grace aha...that's interesting
because clothes look better on tall, skinny people.
they are human hangers with striking faces.
^ In simple terms, that is why they must be skinny and tall. I do not mean to dismisa their human value.
jasmine Knipe in general people don't really find skinny tall girls attractive.they like girls with nice bodies.but I'm one of those skinny girls, but I can't really gain weight.i was always skinny and perfectly healthy.but it hurts me people bother me about how skinny I am.
they get so skinny that the only people that can wear the clothes they model are themselves.. so what is the point?
Stesan1 human hangers
Stesan1 yeah we have plus size models who are freaking obese
Stesan1 that is why there are sizes 🤠
its for fashion shows
Honestly, what the guy model scout says at 1:23 makes me mad...I mean, he's making the mom out to be the bad guy...With all the stuff you hear about the fashion industry being such a competitive environment, and that it promotes an unhealthy lifestyle (ie- being stick thin, no matter what it takes), can you really blame the mom for saying 'no'??
I think they wanted 23" because Malia's was 24.5" and so she was cut off.
its so retarded anyway since the waist literally changes from meal to meal and day to day like fucking 10cm lol+
at least for me..
TheMabes69 even dia's chaeyeon (girl group in korea) has waist around 22 inch
It’s absolutely insane. I’m 5’8 and the smallest my waist has ever been at my height is 25” (I’m currently 26-27”)
Alex Larson Same. I'm 5'11 and I have a 28 waist, and people say I'm slim. It's fucked up.
They are still a child! LET THEM EAT!!!
FelitaSucitro that’s true, but it would be easier if they were younger and they were healthy so it would be easier to keep it up for when their adults.
dude you are a fucking god with that username
they want to be models
FelitaSucitro exactly
Don't worry. They'll get tons to swallow once they move to NY. lol
It's awful they are choosing them only for measurements
Its disgusting- they will be role models for young girls- to be a toothpick
lmao half a apple ....she didn't even say a whole apple OMG smh
this actually made me cry. im not skinny, definately not and i would kill for a body like that and for them to tell her shes too FAT and she has to lose more weight.
JustinTylerFeelsx Actually plus size starts at size 8 in the modeling world.
mechelle seriously :(
Their models it's literally their jobs to diet like that and train hard
6:18 fed me...I want some bread
That's SOO sick and disgusting pushing these girls towards being skinny enough to fit in a dress to walk on a freaking runway...
brittney smith tyra banks once told that when she was strugglin with her weight at 19, cause she was "too big" for high fashion, her mom left the room, went back with a pizza and said "SCREW THEM". so she focused on commercial modeling, that requires "fuller" girls. that´s a mom that kid needs. happy means more than whatever that girl is.
Digmer h
100% agree Digmer
Jakie Felo Totally
when im hungry i eat bread ... it just tastes good to me.
True! Beauty is confidence in who you are not a beauty standard!
Prettier than the rest, disagree
Their first requirement is height. Their second is measurements. Once you fit those a bunch of makeup will do just about anyone.
But most models are not pretty. That is the look designers want.
It sucks to be "too ugly for the modeling industry". Like my friend is a model and loves to talk about her photoshoots but she's like 5ft. I'm taller, but I guess it's because IM NOT PRETTY ENOUGH.
What is beauty and why am I not qualified for it?
Angelica Violette Who says ur not pretty enough?
Honestly, it's not every modeling agency that does this, just these two. I have a friend who is 5'2 and started modeling just a few months ago and he's walking his first runway in march! I wish every modeling agency had diversity to give an ACTUAL representation of the real fashion world
Is your friend walking in high fashion show? As far as I know, commercial and high fashion modeling are two different things and therefore have different standards. If you want to walk for big name disigners you have to be ultra skinny.
Olivia Woods 5'2 for a versace runway? bye
Ruby Ti that's not entirely true. I know a lot of people who are plus size and are EXTREMELY famous. Even curvy girls that have a ton of money. You just have to look at the right agency.
is it a mall show?
Viet Dung It probably is. I'm 5'6 and I'm WAY too short for (real) high fashion.
you can tell the first mom loves her girls. disgusting behaviour
I mean the rest of the adults
+MiMiRbMs The blonde mother that took her daughter there saying "we'll do anything"... and she's like "you're going to say thank you mum for not buying the cupcakes" and you see the girl's forced smile - pretty sure she'd rather have the cupcake and not pursue her mother's stupid dream.
When you're 99.9% more beautiful than the rest of the population but you're still not enough.
Cara Delevingne is shorter than the average model. Look where she is now.
+Jane Fresnel Cara is from a huge aristocratic family in England that is old money and extremely connected. It's not hard to make modelling happen for someone with connections
+K Tibaijuka so true. Look at Kendall Jenner
RoseluvU8 Kendall Jenner actually has the required height to be a model, unlike Cara Delevingne.
+K Tibaijuka Actually, Cara's connections didn't help at all, really. Marc Jacob's famously called her a "dwarf" to her face and cut her from a show before she had a breakthrough surge of popularity.
+peacenothate lol....marc must be regretting it right now..
Um yes. What kind of question is that?
Poor girls, they are all so beautiful, the measuring is dumb
I have a 25 inch waist and I was bullied for years for being very skinny, wtf do these agents want these girls to go through
Anoraxia
Ariel Safran *anorexia/anorexic
I have a 23 inches waist, but I am not anorexic. My waist is just very very small and you know.. I would like to gain wait so much, but my metabolism isn't that helpful XD. I get bullied a lot because of that
It's the whole industry! And now it's going the other way with super morbidly obese women (tess holiday) being glorified. Where are the real sized women that the cloths are aimed at why arnt they being represented at all?
They are creeps
"thanks mom for not buying those cupcakes" that's so sad like she's shaming her daughter for eating sweets like I know the girls dream is to be a model but in moderation sweets are ok and telling your daughter she can't eat if she wants to be a model is gross :/
Emmaooo that really shocked me too
Emmaooo you eat enough sugar in your regular diet and if that girl wanted to be a model, she can't eat any extra.
I cringed that was awful
+Emmaooo That's the strict regime that aspiring models have to endure
I'd rather eat whatever I want and be short than this no offence
me too ma boi
watches this while eating candy
same
Same
Omg I'm eating a lollipop right now XD
Eating tacos cuz Idgaf about being skinny
Same. Eats chocolate here.
Me: I think I could be a model
*watches this*
Me: fuck that
*eats a bag of donuts*
Literally.
Exactly
SweetYaoii
Ah... Still sounds stupid to me but oh well...
I think cloths look best on thin figures . even a T-shirt and a jean look amazing .
oo0sofia0oo
Maybe, but I think its better if the figure matches the buyer.
+Alexandra Lucas As a former runway model, I can say that they literally want tall skinny girls because they "want good 'hangers' to make the clothes look fantastic".
My agent used to say this. FUCKING HANGERS! -.-
I stopped that shit.
I am so angry that they make decisions based on the size of their waist!
Grace Bell I know. that one girl Malia who was told to get tips from Hailey was like half an inch "too big" to model.
@Izzy Jordan not rly she looks like a average white girl, ppl usually look for a different kinda of beauty unique
The modeling industry is messed up
I just find it so ironic that a lady who is clearly over weight is telling a clearly under weight girl that she isn't skinny enough
Not every girl dreams to be a model. Some dream of getting a great education going to a prestigious college and having a strong career.
Maybe the mom quickly shut them down because they were screaming "EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME" and then creepily going "your daughter is soooo pretty".
You would think these people would be more professional
This is sick
ikr
gabrielle dimura stfu
I am disgusted
gabrielle dimura
What's sick is that all these overweight idiots in the comment section are judging an entire industry based off of one video.
Ess you're just assuming that everyone who disagrees with the industry is overweight?? And there's been many storys of people developing anorexia when they're trying to be a model
This is absolutely disgusting. They say they aren't worried about what they are doing to these girls, yet they're rushing them to lose weight.
They treat those girls like pieces of meat or projects. It isn't humans for them, but just bodies, investments.
makes u rethink the great life of Kendall and Gigi
Nah not really. They're born rich and already had connections in the industry to make it big. Their careers were bought so they didn't have to go through any of this.
+Latrina Buchanan yes they did, Kendall kept getting rejected because of her family and had to work 10 times harder
CreativeGirl415 Keep lying to yourself.
+Latrina Buchanan agree with you
the modeling business is a ruthless business they could care less if your family is on tv or if your sister is Kim k all that they care about is your size and if you can't match then that's to bad-you have to work hard to even have a chance to make it let alone get as far as Kendall has
Isn't it ironic how we never heard of these girls again? Not even Hailey?
This should be illegal
Ada there are kids around
Shut up. Nobody uses google plus.
Yes they do. So how about you shut up
Ada Hyde My brother and I do. I'm 15 and he's 12.
Being sexy af?
first thibg you look: height
do you hear that? it is my self esteem broken in a milloin pieces
+psxcopata san i know right... what i hate the most is when my mother or a close family member is always like "look how tall and pretty that girl is oh i wish you were that height so we could put you in modeling" i hate it this is shaming the majority girls to be tall and its little bit rare that a girl is ever that tall...
I'm 5'6...
+fleur feirce lucky. I'm 5'3 & 1/2
+psxcopata san modeling is not the only thing in the world
gee
"What girl, even for a fleeting moment, hasn't dreamed of this?"
me. I dunno maybe i was one of those weird kids who would've rather been at a pet store near you
me 2
Applauses for the mother who refused to let her daughter be scouted!
don't become a model then, it's pretty easy.
nachos It's understandable that people feel bad for their fellow human being watching them be exploited and taken advantage of at a young age.
You're right about that.
nachos i totally agree with you, it's easy
this just awful, they are training them to become anorexics. god, it really bothers me. those girls are already so skinny and measuring their waists like that probably makes them feel like absolute shit. especially that clip with the mother and they are like oh you'd make your mom so proud when you get on a cover of a magazine as if thats what their worth is about, their looks. our society is really fucked up.
you do realize the training goes over a few months
Tilly Girl It doesn't matter. You have to be consistent when you're losing weight or you'll bloat, and so they're consistently depriving themselves of food so they can lose inches because they know if they eat that piece of bread, they'll get "fat" and that's how they'll see themselves in the mirror. "Oh that sandwich made me go up a half an inch, must lose it now!" Anorexics.
society today tells girl they're too fat or too ugly or too whatever.
Much respect to the mother who said no to making her Young daughter being a model ...whether you like it or not modeling is based on appearance it's shallow there's nothing more to it, purely based on body image no one care about the model's brain and the knowledge she has ... I respect parents who want more for their children
recruiters judge girls based on their height and weight, but they are so heavy and " unattractive" in societal standards.
They are not "judging" the girls. They are recruiting them for an industry with very specific requirements.
"The first thing we notice is the height."
WELL I'M 4'6 AND IM 15 SO FUCK
5'6 1/2 my mom is 6 ft she use to model
almost 5'9 and 15. :/
Meggie put that height to work boo, you like beautiful
I know! Lots of people tell me that I am pretty, even though I am Indian,13,and just over 5 feet. Beauty should not be judged by height.
LMAO SAME I'M 4'9" AND 14 SO YIKES
this can work as a horror/thriller movie
24.5 inches is too big! This disgusts me! Picking the .01% of women to represent what beauty should be. It makes me ill.
these girls don't represent beauty, they're clothes hangers for clothing.
Sad that they drop out of college for this sick industry
I can't help but think that if one of the truly famous designers were to purposefully use a selection of girls of various body types, ethnicities and heights in a high fashion runway show.... it would be a big statement and thus a huge hit in the media and all over the news. If only...
Also, have to agree with Clare about the dog in that tiny cage. Truly hope that was temporary because of filming though I don't see why either way.
+lizzie ting So you want them all to become models?
This is Modelling... A motherfucking job. To get a job you have to meet a standard if you don't like it? Too bad.
Also my cousin is a model and she eats whatever she wants. She is naturally skinny.. you should work on your self-esteemm
This made me feel so insecure about how i look...
Well, I think your better looking then these girls: )
You are beautiful 💖
Oh cmon, I'm sure you're absolutely beautiful. Different people. Different bodies. Besides, these are models- they have to be skinny. But ask any guy and they will tell you, they're not into stick skinny, or at least, unnatural stick skinny.
Why?
You're absolutely gorgeous!
where is the full documentary?
I AM LITERALLY SO MAD RN. They want someones stomach to be 23 INCHES, to qualify????!!!! Way to make someone anorexic!! Ugh. I hate this. Especially when the red head is telling the girl then her stomach is massive.. Look at hers!! Ugh.
Watching this while eating ice cream makes me feel bad... Lol
I decided to have a piece of cake after watching this video. Looking at these starving kids makes me hungry I don't know why… LOL
Omg same
I literally ate a lot of cheesecake and I feel bad about this oops
Same bro
+HemmingsSkinnyJeans I was eating pizza when I switch on to this video and then began reading the comments, we are all the same
Two unprofessionally looking people stalk teenage girls and then ask them to stay at their house for a few days to take pictures of their bodies...
Yeah, okay the parents seem to know what they're doing. Two thumbs up.
"we scout models" and "hey kid want some candy" are synonyms.
This is so sickening to me. Now I understand why so many models have eating disorders. They're constantly getting measured, they constantly hear that they need to be this small, or this tall, or whatever the fuck. Why? Why the hell does it matter? We are all humans at the end of the day, skinny or not. I would never let my child become a model.
so glad the mother didn't want their children to turn into barbie dolls
I should make place where I can show people's natural beauty. like people with acne and bumpbs, or people who are over weight. or even girls with scars
That would be awesome. Include everyone and show that everyone... Fat, thin, short, acne, tall, no acne, etc is beautiful the way they are! 💖
I have scars from operations, and I am only 13. :( But thanks for this comment, it gives me hope.
+miracle ivey There are average people around us all day long. Not something that's going to make any money for the industry they are in. People shouldn't be so butt hurt about the modeling industry. It is what it is.
+Richard Mazur well saying things like that is part of the problem. people are willing to do things that potentially kill them to be a model or to look like one. what good does it do to keep it the way it is
+Malvis L samee what operations?
Nobody:
Mary: SO IT WAS A TUESDAY WHEN I SCOUTED ASHTON
This is literally the standard weight for high fashion shows it's literally a waistline of 24' or under not over. I don't think it's cute either but thats just the standard. People do not look that good so slim but if you ever watch any fashion show you'll notice almost all of them are the same size. Also victoria's secret models only look "healthier" because they are lingere models and they are supposed to have a bigger measurment in bust and hips than a normal runway model. When you construct clothes on a dress form the lingere dress forma are bustier and hippier than the ordinary dress forms.
