To bring back a tragic event, Kyo ani was a studio who actually gave good salaries and welfare systems and of course they fell victim to such a horrific arson attack.
@@zack1140 animators is increasing day by day, of course that mean the quality of work should be better as competition between animators increasing. If u see China production, they have been catching up on Japan. So, you cant really complain about cost or payment since now people picky, u have to satisfy them by increasing ur workload and be precise on what peoples want. Well in conclusion, chances for job are becoming rare so animators will accept cheap payment even knowing they will get exploit. I'm an amateur animator myself in freelancer so I know all about this. They not willing to pay more for us as many compete for the job

We have artists, we have writers but we don't have any experience whatsoever.
I wish people wouldn’t just shit on this anime because it’s not exactly like the original. Sure it has its flaws, but the people working on this are trying their best! I mean, criticism is a good thing, but I saw that a lot of people just said it was bad just cuz they skipped some parts. Even though they did, they really fail to see the good in the anime and they always look at the bad things. We fans were blessed with an anime adaptation that we’ve been praying for for years, and the moment we do people just complain nonstop (not everyone, of course). I wish people would just be a little more appreciative of this anime.
I literally blocked many webtoon readers who just keep complaining every single epsiode. As a webtoon reader myself, i just want to enjoy this anime as much as possible and not stressing myself out thinking this and that.
They are also not helping as they are discouraging anime only to stop watching it because of their complain. 🤦♀️

Not really, people usually have a misconception of how big and influential Pierrot actually is. While they're not necessarily perfect (no studio is really), questionable management as an example, people blame Pierrot for stuff that's mostly fault of the production committees. People expect Pierrot to do things that are unreasonable from a business standpoint.
the issue w pierrot is that they make weekly anime. that form is dead and it's burning their workers out. they gotta make seasons with breaks inbetween so that their workers can catch a break

Yeah, it's great that anime industry try new things outside Japan. It's great chance for non-japanese author for chances to have their anime and Webtoon gather more popularity in Japan.
The key of The God of Highschool success is because the author of The God of Highschool let the animators do all the job so that they could play with their creativity, that's why all of them seems so happy with it because they all doesn't get any pressure. I love it.
yea. not many authors do that,being directly and willingly involved into the anime production for their series and also giving the freedom and creativity to the staff to maybe change some things from the original source material
I agree with Yongje Park that the fast pace of the anime right now is really great and it gets the message across of each ep well, buuuut I REALLY hope they do more backstory on the background/side characters as well next season. There’s too much good material that it’d be a shame not to use it. Besides that, flawless adaptation

Well, now. The animé is a masterpiece. One of the best animé adaptions ever.
5:45 "...the speedy pacing of the story." That's something that I love about the webtoon, it doesn't delay the story and advances the story almost like realtime like. it's not filled up the backstories that bring the advancement of the story to a snail pace. Great work of art, beautifully paced.

Not really, pacing is about how to move beat bybbeat, bsckstories and flashbacks can also work, you have something like "That Day" from AoT season 3, introducing new worldbuilding, characters, flushing them out and making the world believable and consistent in the span of 2 chapters or one episode, that IS good pacing, flashbacks become overwhelming and bad when they don't move the story forward (which is in a way what you wanted to say) if a flashback is there just to make us feel bad or sad, better make it fast and clean, but if it moves the story onwards, it doesn't matter how much time it takes or even how much its spread around the story (Tokyo Ghoul for example, Purple Hyacinth also)

@@zack1140 for example the fruit Mori ate. Mujin didn't give it to him. Mori found it at night cuz he was starving. He wandered around the GOH undergrounds till he found an old man. A little scuffle happened but he found the fruit there and ate it. (I won't say who the old man is cuz that'd be a spoiler). Also for Mori's punishment Mujin literally called Mori's grandpa and a little comedy happened. Anyways the piintbus they changed a lot but the flow is going good till now.

I really love how the director , producer and their team are working really hard. When they talk about it, we can see their passion for animating. Plus the author seems really supporting, I'm happy it's going well. Japan should really raise the salaries for the animators already! Since anime has become really popular in the recent years.

This anime took me by a storm. I saw that Mappa was doing it, so I already had high expectations, but I didn't know what the Manhwa was about, except that it's action-based. I can safely say my expectations were exceeded. Only 3 episodes are out so far, but the consistent HIGH QUALITY Sakuga animations are just mind-blowing. I am really excited for what's to come!!
Also documentaries like this are really good for unthankful spoiled brats who know nothing of the immense effort that goes into producing animation (even more with high quality animation). I hope you realize that shows like this don't appear every day and I hope you people start being more appreciative.

GoH is easily one of the best animes out this year, and MAPPA imo, is doing an amazing job with the way they are trying to keep to the main story of the GoH Manwha while also giving us fresh and entertaining experiences as they move from fighting scenes to more normal scenes each ep.
And for some reason Joseph chou kinda reminds me of Elon musk.
The animation was amazing. The fight scenes and camera angles too. I wish the storyline was longer despite them making it a bit fast-paced. They defintely did not dissapoint the webtoon in terms of quality. Love the teamwork of the ppl too (korean, japanese, english all coming together)

Reading the manga make you get exited at the same time , watching the anime makes you appreciate the work of animator on giving life on the anime and how they work really hard to make this kind of stuff and make you enjoy ang love the anime you are watching specially those super Crisp fight scenes.
They made the story different, but understand its for anime onlys, if there's a thats like a popular video game for ex and they want to make it into a live action or animated movie, they're probably gonna make change to the events in the story, same characters but different story their settinng up, many people can do with any title not just video games, super heroes, anime any popular franchise.
Well yeah, but the webtoon writer himself agreed to do this and he is on board this project so no matter what gets a bit of a change will still be equal to if not better than the original source material.

Not really. There many of director who are foreigners same goes for animators. They are mostly freelancers and they take anyone who lives in Japan and have the talent and skills. They will usually take more skilled directors for huge anime shows or because they has already worked on something similar.
Also for a bunch of shows credit when the names are in romaji you can also see a bunch of names that are not japanese mainly korean and chinese and then other names.

Animation is harder than it looks Jesus. I already imagined it being difficult but the fact that there is a whole process for a comic or manga to have an anime adaptation is interesting. Props to the the people in MAPPA for doing a lot this year.

I said this before but I'll say it again, thank you to everyone at mappa no matter how small or big your role is ! Sometimes I watch the episodes over and over again so that I can admire every frame ! This is really reassuring for someone like me who is going into the film industry !
AOT fans don't worry we will be served with a delicious cuisine that we never knew we wanted in our lives cuz mappa studio has given us many gems like banana fish, dorororo ,yuri on ice ,terror in resonance ,kakegurui , kids on slope ,inuyashiki etc.

Watching the anime after reading the manhwa is giving me goosebumps. It's too good although they skipped some important scenes but it's just hitting different. 🔥
I remember me and my friend were bored one day and we were looking through HBO and we seen God of high-school we read the description and we decided to try it out we binged watched it in 2 days and my God did we love it, it has so many scenes that leave you in awe and the story is pretty basic but the way the characters interact is really nice and the last episode was my favorite, after watching this documentary it makes me love the series even more

박성후 감독님과 관련 제작진분들 수고하셨습니다! 저로서는(웹툰과 애니의 한국 팬으로서), 애니가 상당히 성공했다고 생각해요. 웹툰을 기반으로 한 애니로서는 첫 스타트를 잘 끊었다고 생각하고요.(그저 제 의견입니다). 사실 신의 탑은 스토리나 설정을 많이 바꾼 것 같아서 많이 실망했었거든요. 하지만 갓 오브 하이스쿨은 원작의 스토리에서 크게 벗어나지 않는 것 같았고, 워낙 퀄리티가 대단해서 볼 맛이 나더라고요. 게다가 엄청난 액션 씬들은 힘과 노력을 많이 들였다는 게 느껴져서 만족스러웠습니다. (신의 탑보다 낫다고 생각했던 키포인트)100편보다 많은 편수를 하나의 애니에 몰아넣었던 게 짜증나긴 했지만, 전체 스토리 이해를 위해 꼭 필요한 설정들은 표현한 걸 볼 수 있었어요. 그저 제 의견 뿐일 수도 있지만, 많은 한국 팬들도 대체로 이런 반응이었고요. 애니의 장점과 단점은 상관없이 애니의 제작진들께 아주 좋은 애니를 만들어 준 것에 대해 엄지를 추켜올려주고 싶네요. 고생 많으셨고 감사합니다!!

As for me(a Korean fan of both the webtoon and anime), I think the anime was a considerable success, good start for a webtoon original anime(just my opinion). I've actually been a bit disappointed by the ToG(tower of god-don't know the capitals sorry)cause it seemed they changed a lot from the original plot and story. But the GoH didn't seem to change a lot from the original story, and had extreme quality, so I felt it was worth to watch. Also, the extreme action scenes meant they had put a lot of effort and work in it, and that felt satisfying too.(the key point why i think it's better than toG)I know it's frustrating they had to put more than 100 chapters in this one anime; but you could see in the anime that they tried to show the main setups you need to understand the story. These could only be my opinion, but I've seen many korean fans agreeing to this. Regardless of the advantage/disadvantage of the anime, I wanna give a thumbs-up to the production crew for such a great anime producing. Thanks for the hard work!!

Just shows how big of a deal god of highschool was that they did so many creative animations and ideas i have ever seen in any anime, even jujutsu kaisen doesn't have that level of creativity compared to what they have done in goh, sad that Crunchyroll didn't give enough episodes to the author and the team hopefully we get to see season 2 soon.
It's kinda sad that this anime did so bad in terms of critics, seeing the popularity that Jujutsu Kaisen got with the same team behind it, MAPPA will probably focus on JJK instead of GOH, watching Sung Ho Park so happy working in this project, idk, makes me sad, still greatfull at MAPPA cause JJK it's just amazing

The pace of the story is a bit disjointed but I'm pretty sure they'll improve it in future episodes
this made me cry... I love that people are able to work together to create one vision. I hope one day I find my team because I think I have a meaningful story to tell and this video just inspired me not to give up even though I have been going at it alone for the past 4 years or so. I would really love for people one day to experience the story I really want to share

Nic Laurila where exactly did you get this information from? Because as far as I know, none of this is even remotely true. Maybe you’re mistaking them for KyoAni?
Niko Laurila I looked at the recruitment page and the only salary I see is ¥230,000 (and up) but this applies to MAPPA’s CG department, production assistant and production desk, as well as the copyright department. It doesn’t apply to the animation department (in fact I don’t even see a recruitment page for them. If you have a link for that could you please send?). The departments I’ve just mentioned have always been known to get higher pay than most animators so it’s not surprising that they’d be getting that much for their monthly salary (though I’m fairly certain that some of those production assistants are putting in more than 45 hours of over time depending on how bad the show’s schedule is). To add to this, most of the key animators on MAPPA shows are freelancers, not in-house, so they wouldn’t even be getting a salary, they’d be getting pay per cut. They’d still have strict deadlines to meet. There was even an incident (I can’t find the tweet unfortunately) where hisashi eguchi was complaining about MAPPA not paying him the agreed amount.
I haven’t looked at the exact starting salary for kyoAni staff, but I would assume the slightly starting salary would carry just as much (if not more) value as the starting salary for MAPPA Production assistants because the cost of living in Kyoto (where kyoani is based) is lower than in Tokyo (where MAPPA is).

They changed the fight with Mira and the Big BoOb Girl, and they change the scene when mori jin Eats the fruit.THEY ALSO MADE BAEK SEUNG-CHUL LOOK LIKE A SIDE CHARACTER WHEN HE IS SO IMPORTANT TO THE STORY, WHERE WAS HIS BACK STORY !!!!!!!!!!!. Now if tower of god and god of highschool was to get further anime adaptation, Tower of god would win because it has good storyline and good fight scene, whereas God of highschool would be seen as just a fighting anime with basic storyline.
@@blazeblitgamer8059 Tbh the thing i am most annoyed about is skipping the back story of the side characters that later on become more important than side characters. By them skipping the back story "to save time" just makes the character seem like a replaceable character or a less important character which is wrong. Wish mappa put the effort like this to Attack on titan, they have so much potential but they are overworking themselves by working on 3 anime’s at the same time without taking a breather. Make 1-finish then start the other like damn its that easy. You dont have to make so many at the same time.
Not as easy as it sounds, investors decided that the Final Season needed to be released by October, following the ending of the Manga, so it would give them more money. Wit declined that, ofc because of schedule, and Mappa is the only one that said yes, not even Deen, who took NNT, for example, accepted Aot Final Season. There is more than just "animating a manga", at the end of the day, it's bussiness.

The fights seem to take a page from the kingsmen movies. They're short but awesome. Action keeps going and those god level camera shots and motions. Very impressive. And I love how the fights are short and not dragged out.
