Kent and Essex IFCA are probably the best people to contact regarding recreational collection of shellfish. They should be able to tell you about size limits, keep limits and stuff. Can you dig ragworms on the thames foreshore around erith/thamesmead way. I mudlark there at low tide and find a few baby 1s under the rocks etc. But is it worth digging through the anaerobic mud or don't they go into that?

That's ragworm it's enough for a session that's all that counts saves you £10 or so and the cockles make a gd bait if you tight on money lol
