Most probably the devs that made the feature, give out to certain community, youtubers/gamers may pick up from there. (Just a fantheory, not a fact:D)

Take a look at Payday easter eggs and be amazed. Some of those took several years to figure out in a community-sourced effort, ARGs etc.

Would still be attack of the clones though with minimal stuff to destroy. An incomplete game with bugs on release ain’t bad if the core game ain’t bad… Decent egg tho , pritty cool how that touched down into the ocean. They should have made them all form like that.

It did launch like this....what's so different mechanically? They changed the recoil, added some weapons, new maps and a few quality of life changes. Pretty par the course with literally any game release. I've loved Battlefield 2042 since the beta and have played the game for nearly a thousand hours now. It's a stellar title as were all the previous entries as well. Simply don't get ya'll....
lol I was excited to try this until Jack said "you're gonna need a friend" and I thought damn none of my friends play this game. That looks like a hell of a thing though. Lot of work just for a player card too.

i remember when 2042 first launched and dice was talking about the tornado and how much time and resources, they spent on making it look good.
They are pretty dang amazing. It's a mechanically cool feature that really does effect gameplay in a dynamic way.
As long as they keep using them it in future games it will be worth it. I hope they do, and allow them to cause some destruction.

@@brianrad_ People complained that the weather effects happened too often and made a big ol' fuss about it and so they made it so it doesn't happen as frequently now.
Seems like they burned all ressources on that instead of making a good game
I don't care what anyone says, the tornadoes are really cool in this game. I just would've wished they left a trail of destruction that changes half the map 😢
It's my only gripe about it as well but it's just not a very feasible thing to do in a multiplayer environment yet. They could have done a little bit of destruction though as they have done this sort of thing in the past with the firestorm destroying buildings in BFV's battle royale. There's likely a very good reason and it's likely due to the constraints of 128 players in a relatively small map (in comparison to the battle royale map where players are more spread out) Destruction is an inherently difficult thing to implement in multiplayer environments because of consistency.
@AdiusOmega ohhh I agree %100 hence why there was very little of it in 2042 like you mentioned, but it's just soo unfortunate it had to be that way
@@spartan_a1176 The next Battlefield game will almost certainly have a massive focus on destruction. Server side destruction is getting much more stable for high player count environments. It's going to be incredible, DICE has been deep in the research and development side of this feature for some time now. Like I said before, destruction is very difficult to implement.

There is just no way in hell that a person figured this out on their own. A dev had to leak it on reddit, or something. If this organically came from a person messing around, trial and error until they got it, people have WAY too much time on their hands.

Theres entire communities dedicated to finding Easter eggs. Thats where they get their joy such as the CoD zombies guys. It is a lot of time invested but I'm sure it's worth it to them
Hey, a 2042 dev here. I know it feels difficult (and it is!), but there are actually so many talented Easter Egg hunters and communities for Battlefield that the puzzles are deliberate made really challenging, because we know they are that good. They work together and spread out searching for clues and brainstorming. We devs deliberate don't want to say anything that gives the EE away since we know they will solve it eventually. It would ruin the fun EE hunters find in solving these if we told them how to do it.

Love it, I was hugely invested in the first EE in BF4 it was fun, but ohh my it did take up alot of time.

As someone who watches storm chasing vids a lot and are obsessed with tornadoes, I will say yes, the tornado forming and dissipating is in the base game. And DICE did a great job modeling the spinning clouds and funnel formation, even if it is a bit fast for gameplay sake.
Adam playing whack-a-mole on Jack was hilarious. on topic: amazing easter egg, what a treat to unlocking that 1st time 😄
I just don’t understand how some people figure these little things out.
Like certain steps are kinda self explanatory and I can see how you can figure them out, like finding the radios and the plushies, BUT, how TF do you figure out that the guy has to be on the opposite team and you have to take them down 3 times in the water specifically.

Remember everyone. It took nearly 3 years to get BF4 into playable shape after all of you pre-ordered and acted as unpaid beta testers. It had rubber-banding, invisible objects on some maps, and objects that disappear from the map after you get any more than 40 yards away.
Also, you couldn't even play it at first, since the netcode was so bad.
That was a worse launch, and nowadays oh so many say it's the best Battlefield game.
Well, apart from those who say BFV is the best one, and we all remember the mass whingeing from all the incels, don't we? "Oh, women can't be allowed to be part of our games!!!"
people got tired of this happening with every battlefield game since bf4. it is not acceptable to launch a game with 3 pistols and 3 snipers when one of the biggest gripes about battlefield is the abundance of guns.

nice to know that bf4, bf1, bf5 and now 2042 has a shark easter egg. The one that confused me the most was bf5 because only 1 person was able to see the sharks fin due to him swimming in the river or a tank firing over the river that triggered the script to let the shark loose. Was very confusing how that worked. They should have allowed all players to access it
oh, so that time of the year came. you know a bf game is dead dead when these easter egg vids come out.

I have a screen shot of me and 2 friends at the megalodon trigger sign. The next day Jack broke the news on how to trigger it . We were raging about being so close and yet so far.

Straight away took me back to a time travel back 2 years when I saw this map in the video. I reminded what kind of missed opportunities there were for the game. Cool eater egg. But it is wated cause it was In a game most og bf fans skipped cause it was/is a dissaster. Stayed here for Jack.

They did a terrific job of the tornadoes, was the only thing that was polished and worked fully when the game launched
I like the idea of the challenges. Its a nod to BF4. But, they need to make the rewards worthwhile like they did in BF4. Player cards aren't really hot ticket items and that was a lot of back and forth for just a player card.
Damn, I missed BF-Easter-Eggs! Especially, I miss those EE‘s with story’s in it 😅 like in older BF‘s series. I understand that they didn’t have much time for EE‘s, cause they’re trying to fix the game since release… but hey! Thanks Devs! ❤
